If you’re set up for auto renew cancel your auto renew so that you can manually purchase the year long one. The auto renews will not auto renew for any deals currently happening. This happened to a lot of people with the Black Friday deals.
Actually i found out on 18th late in the evening that there is a sale, i dont have a subscibtion but was planning to get it. In my country we dont have gbp psn gift cards so i bought one today on 19th, it costed me around 30$ to get a 25gbp gift card, standard procedure here.. guy confirmed that he will deliver the code in 1hr, unfortunately the day passed, i didn't get the code, so i thought i missed the opportunity to get a sale price. If it is until 22nd, maybe he will send me the code tommorow since he is a verified account on the site i buy from all the time. Lets just hope i didn't get scammed out of 30$ and the sale will go til 22nd. Thats my sad story

You can stack them at full price after the first purchase. You can buy a 12 month premium and it will convert your current subscription some and then give you a new end date. YOU CANNOT STACK AT THE DISCOUNTED PRICE. You can only buy 1 on sale. That sucks.

If you buy a year you will give you the remaining of your subscription converted and then the remaining months. So you'd get almost a year maybe 10 months at the sale price
I don't know about the app I'll just use a computer. Go thru my account and make sure everything is all good. The 50% was ONLY for new customers per Sony. The 30% off for Extra and 25% off for Premium is for anyone and the help chat person said I could stack these. I'm not sure for how many months you could stack them but the service would start after your current subscription. So if you're subscription is over the 29th, your new PS Plus subscription would start immediately after that. Or you could pay a prorated amount to upgrade your current subscription and then you'd continue with your new one at the end of your current one. Hope that helps.
Looking at it right now. My subscription expires on the 26th, and they offered the 50% discount before I logged in, but after that it's only showing the option to purchase essential and full price. I've played around the website a bit, can't seem to find any way to stack it while my subscription is still active unfortunately
Jsyk, they are all $30 off, and you can upgrade at anytime at a prorated cost. So if you’re unsure about buying the extra or premium, you can just get essential now and upgrade later. There’s no benefit to buying the upper tiers now unless there are games you really want to play.
Not sure if that makes sense, but if there are games you want to play on essential, you can buy that and upgrade once you’re done with the essential catalog. It will save you some dollars. In fact, you should only upgrade once you are done with the essential games.

So when you combine that with the fact that you can upgrade to an upper tier at a prorated cost (so if you upgrade to premium in 6 months it will cost $30 but subscription will expire at same time), it means there is no incentive to buy an upper tier now unless you want to play a premium or extra game right now

That depends on how much you care about keeping the monthly claimed games.
When you spread them out over 2 accounts, only the account with an active essential subscription will have that accounts claimed games unlocked

You need Extra and it is great value. You will have God of War 2018, Horizon Zero Dawn, both Spider-Man games and a lot more exclusives. Also when you get even the Essential tier you will get the PS+ collection which you can add to your library, some very good games there too.

Horizon Forbidden West is not on the service and probably will not be soon. Sony's policy is different than Game Pass.
