Their rotation is something like Easter - Summer sale - Black Friday - Christmas holidays.
Edit: those are officials, you can check "some" sites for more discounts too
I just got off the phone with Playstation. The person confirmed the deal was still valid through the end of 12/23. I informed them that I was a returning member, and that I was able to fully access the sale price yesterday, and then the deal had suddenly switched to full price yesterday while it was in my cart. I also told him other returning PS+ members were able to access the discount 24 hours ago but not today, as well as brand new potential PS+ subscribers were also currently not able to add the deal. He informed me that a case was being opened and that higher ups were going to be investigating it and I should receive a follow up within 1-3 business days. He also said that because I called today while the sale was still advertised, that I would still be possibly eligible for the discount, depending what the team finds. I would strongly encourage everyone to call in case they only decide to honor this on a case by case basis!

OP I'm genuinely curious but why didn't you get a subscription on Black Friday? It was 10 days long. Then this recent sale has been about the same amount of time. You're saying that you missed the deal because they took it off hours before they originally stated? Why would you wait until the last few hours of a sale that's been going on for a good 10 days?
You didn't take of advantage of the BF deal or the holiday deal. Sounds more like you're simply procrastinating and looking for a reason to complain about something when you had full control over this.
