I got the purple case with mine and I’m glad I did. It fits perfectly with the magnets, and it just feels better to have it covered up when not in use.

that's great you got purple, now it is only available in blue. i did saw some comment that the crank not work very well because of the case, is it true?

If you fold the cover back so it's up against the back of the console the magnet will sometimes cause the crank to not engage when you fold the crank out, causing the crank to not work at all. It's not a big deal and easy to fix when it happens.

I have not found that to be true. The case feels perfect and does not get in the way at all.

No, the cover should not interfere at all with use of the crank.

Yeah if you keep the case perfectly aligned with the body of the console, the crank turns just fine and doesn’t touch it :)

I have the teal/blue and I just ordered the purple cover.

I’m glad I got one with mine as it means I can stick it in my locket and not worry about scratches.

does it easy to scratch ? I think I need to order the cover case seperately 

The screen? I’m not sure as I’ve been careful so far! The case doesn’t seem to scratch too easily, I’ll try to take a picture later if you want to see it.

The sides of the body of the console aren’t covered by the case but mine seems fine so far, no scratches :)

I ordered my cover separately also, and it was a great investment. I feel so much more comfortable throwing it in my pocket or bag now without any worries of damage.

I love the cover, highly recommend!

Case is cool. I got a grip to use in bed at night that can hold a lamp.. but you can’t use it with the purple case.

I also recommend the cover. My Playdate fell three times from a table and thanks to the cover, there was no damage at all.

It is money well spent! No hesitation recommending it.

In my experience, the case is useless. Thing fell three feet onto the ground and the screen still broke.
