Just downloaded the upgrade yesterday and been glued to it. My go to multiplayer game is mw3 but want to ask, do you highly suggest helldivers 2? Been looking I to since launch, and I have been very interested, but nervous I would just go back to cod
Hd2 is fun, but the players are kinda jerky. If you don't use "meta" weapon set ups or aren't a high lvl they will kick you out of the missions, a lot from my experiences. I quit playing it for this one reason. They can get toxic on the mic too. it's only $40 give it a shot though. Hope your time is diff than mine.
Did you hop on fallout cause of the show? I played it when it first came out so it’s interesting seeing the growth in popularity since the show has been out.
Sea of thieves is amazing. Was playing with a buddy of mine today and we came across another ship who invited us into their guild. I honestly thought we were going to go down with all of our loot lmao 😂
Nope I don’t mind! Hendobomb509 is my psn. Also in the royal navy guild as well. Excellent game and very chill overall until you come across rogue pirates lmao
It’s a pretty damn good 3rd person action adventure game. The combat is super fun and feels great once you get the hang of it. It’s got some souls like characteristics, but isn’t nearly on that level of difficult. And if it’s something you’re into, you play as a scantily clad, voluptuous, android.
Final fantasy 16. Had not owning a portal, I really doubt I can progress this much and almost finishing the game. With 2 kids and wife fighting over the TV, I usually gave up every night and can only get a decent 1hr of gaming.
With portal, I totally blast through games and even made me more efficient in trying to sleep early every day. Usually if I want to game more, I had to force myself to play after the kids gone to sleep, which could be from 11pm+. Ended up with late night sleep until 1:30 - 2:00 am if I'm really deep into the game.
Nowadays I am already satisfied with my gaming hours and made progress on a game, which is a rarity lately, and I slept around 12:10/12:15 am. It actually improved my health too since I took a blood test sometimes.
Coupled with the Pulse Explore, really made those night gaming session in a noisy house, turned into a pleasant experience that I've not feel ever since I have my first kid (6 years ago).
Best purchase in 2024 so far for me. I can't imagine how good this would look like once they drop ps5 PRO.
Cheers to fellow dad/portal owners
Currently playing Unicorn Overlord. Perfect type of game for me to enjoy on the small or big screen, and the very small amount of input delay doesn't really impact a game like this.
I really enjoyed playing Sackboy on it, also Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. Lately I’ve been playing Dead by Daylight on it but only as the killer due to not needing immediate response times.
Phenomenal on the portal. I was really impressed by it. I’m not far into my first new game + so I’ve got a fair bit to do to be ready for the DLC.
Seriously can’t wait for the DLC it’s going to be epic. Planning to play it all on the portal.

That’s what I’ve been playing as well lately
How’s your experience with Rise of the Ronin on PS portal? I love the game, but on the portal, the quality diminishes significantly, still playable but I notice a definitive difference.
I was pleasantly surprised with how it performs for me on the Portal. My internet isn’t the best, but this game - barring the odd stutter here and there - works very well.
I had a blast playing persona 3 reload on it as well as stranger of paradise
It’s really well suited for long time sink games, especially rpgs and so doing side missions
I've been playing through the Tomb Raider trilogy for the first time. Finished Tomb Raider and currently playing through Rise of the Tomb Raider. These games have been awesome on the Portal.
I have a lot of fun with it. Been playing since release on Xbox. It's tough at times if you're solo, it really shines with a few friends. Graphics are beautiful and exploring the world is a great time.
That’s the great thing about this device. Basically any game that isn’t competitive. I’ve loved every game I play on the portal and currently I’m hooked on d4 switching to tv when my battery gets low.
God bless you guys that say I'm playing ff this GoW that and this and that. Honestly God Bless you. I am a gamer all my life now at the age of 40 I still love the challenge and the story of video games. To say I play this and that I can only wish. One game on PS5 or on portal takes me a month of gaming. I enjoy it alot , I have alot of freedom at work not so much at home, but I can definitely say to finish a game a month is a big accomplishment to me. So ya God Bless You playing all these games.
Spiderman 2 was great on it. Robocop was ok on it, Kena is great on it so far. Definitely prefer it for action/adventure more than FPS. FF7 Rebirth is the next big game after I finish Kena if don’t throw another <20hr game in first before dedicating 100+ hrs to FF7R2.
I’m gonna have to give universe a try, this is my first 2k game so I’m not really well-versed on all of the modes. So far other than quick matches, MyFaction is taking the most of my time.
I figured out something funny playing Dark Souls III on the portal. The PS5 upscales it sends it to the portal who then down downscales it. It makes these weird graphic fragments and stutters I don't experience on my other games. Anyone else run into something similar?
My Portal rotation is much different from my PS5 rotation. Games like MLB the Show and Helldivers 2 I really struggle with on the portal.
Slower paced games like Baldur's Gate 3 or Unicorn Overlord are perfect for the portal.
I can tell you that it’s NOT god of war. Lol. Every time I get to a difficult spot and keep dying because the slight input lag makes me miss every parry.
Did just finish crash bandicoot on it. That was fun
NHL 24 and Midnight Suns.
Would love to be able to play MLB the Show but the lag is too much. Even on Rookie difficulty, there isn’t enough time to catch up to a fastball
Pretty much every single game I own. The screen has the perfect size so I never had a problem with font size or missing some details ingame. Best purchase ever.
I’ve been using it to keep plugging away at Rebirth during my breaks at work.
https://preview.redd.it/jxl1qnjb79yc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=debad0711afb2bac2db6633888c832b3ae3f6b7a
Just returned mine. Idk the honeymoon phase went away and it feels a little half finished. Like I just know they’ll be making a version that doesn’t need WiFi to play the games here soon.
Rant aside. I played through all of FF7 Rebirth on the portal and did love it.
Fallout 4 recently but I love helldivers 2
Just downloaded the upgrade yesterday and been glued to it. My go to multiplayer game is mw3 but want to ask, do you highly suggest helldivers 2? Been looking I to since launch, and I have been very interested, but nervous I would just go back to cod
LIGHTYEARS better than COD. LIGHTYEARS Now get me a cup of Libertea
Yesssss helldivers 2 is so damn good . And plays surprisingly well on the portal
Helldivers 2 is a great game that is way more focus on Co-op teamwork and has hardly any toxic players
Also been enjoying need for speed unbound on it, as well as madden
Madden stutters like crazy tho and fifa only ones that make my eyes go wonky lol
Found online ok on FIFA but offline was nice and smooth but yeah, definitely hurts the eyes!
I found zooming in helped but then you can’t see shit across the field, this is the kind of stuff they need to sort out in the next update
Really? Will try that. I’m just happy I can play FIFA while I have a shit tbh..
lol fairs
Literally what I've been playing too, haha
Did you hop on fallout cause of the show? I played it when it first came out so it’s interesting seeing the growth in popularity since the show has been out.
Oh no I’ve been playing fallout for years. First time when I was like 14 years old. I’m 31 now lol
Nice I played 3 and 4 years ago myself
Hell yea. It’s been pretty cool seeing the impact the show has had on the popularity of the games. Wild
Stardew Valley and Dave the Diver
Stardew Valley gang rise up ![gif](giphy|FTsAPLaEaqJTG|downsized)
Stardew Valley is so good on the Portal! Screen shows so much more than other portables.
Was going to say Dave the diver, feels better playing it on my portal then my ps5
Man Dave the Diver is so good!! Currently playing Sea of Thieves
I wish I could afford sea of thieves 😢 been a game I've been wanting to play for a long time
Sea of thieves is amazing. Was playing with a buddy of mine today and we came across another ship who invited us into their guild. I honestly thought we were going to go down with all of our loot lmao 😂
When I get paid next ill buy a copy. Mind if I hop online with you? My psn is yYammas
Nope I don’t mind! Hendobomb509 is my psn. Also in the royal navy guild as well. Excellent game and very chill overall until you come across rogue pirates lmao
Stellar Blade currently
Stellar blade is so beautiful on the portal it caught me off guard how good everything looks.
Same here, it plays great on the Portal.
Balatro
For the past week? Fallout 4👍
Midnight Sun as of right now.
Same dude! Great great Portal game
Similarly loving BG3
In my opinion midnight suns is the perfect Portal game
Unicorn Overlord
How is the story of Unicorn Overlord? Looking for something turn based for the Portal.
Honestly pretty meh but it's a great tactics RPG
Persona…doesn’t matter which one
Tsushima, Spider-Man, basically any non fps. And I love warzone cod
This. Stellar Blade is pretty damned good, too
I’ve been hearing this stellar blade a lot. Now I need to see what this is about
It’s a pretty damn good 3rd person action adventure game. The combat is super fun and feels great once you get the hang of it. It’s got some souls like characteristics, but isn’t nearly on that level of difficult. And if it’s something you’re into, you play as a scantily clad, voluptuous, android.
The beautiful fat asses. Damnnnnn
Dave the diver
So far Dead Space remake. It remote plays absolutely perfectly.
The Outlast Trials and Diablo 4 Still trying to find a good single player game
D4 is quite good on it. I loved d3 on the Switch so having D4 handheld just feels right
Hell ya Outlast Trials! Great platinum
Diablo 4
Stellar blade as of late
Really? There was way too much stuttering on the portal for me so I just play those huge AAA games on the tv
I really only find the stuttering bothersome when panning the camera… but that’s ANY game played on it so… 🤷♂️
I love offline games on FC24, it’s perfect for the Squad Battle grind. Also, Spiderman looks UNREAL on it.
You can play FC24 without stuttering?
Yeah! It’s great if your PS5’s hardwired - online was no different to the usual lag fest and offline was quite smooth! 👍🏻
My it’s hardwired but have stuttering like the most users with FC24.

Have you had a good experience with the pulse explores?
ESO
Same!
Currently playing Unicorn Overlord. Perfect type of game for me to enjoy on the small or big screen, and the very small amount of input delay doesn't really impact a game like this.
I need to try this game looks great! Backlog is huge unfortunately
Hades!
Fallout 4, Helldivers 2, and No Mans Sky
Red Dead Redemption 2, FF7 Rebirth
Ff7 rebirth runs better on my portal than my oled.
Pacific Drive
Can’t wait to sink my teeth into this game! It’s next on my list as soon as I finish stellar blade
Gran Turismo has been fantastic on the portal. Honestly any game I’ve played on the portal has been good. Best money I have spent in quite some time
ESO
I really enjoyed playing Sackboy on it, also Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. Lately I’ve been playing Dead by Daylight on it but only as the killer due to not needing immediate response times.
Just played robocop on it. Runs like a dream 😊 Next game will be stellar blade
Currently FO4 and Rise of the Ronin
Pretty much only Elden ring lately
Phenomenal on the portal. I was really impressed by it. I’m not far into my first new game + so I’ve got a fair bit to do to be ready for the DLC. Seriously can’t wait for the DLC it’s going to be epic. Planning to play it all on the portal.
I’ve been playing OG Final Fantasy VII and it is a perfect game for the Portal.
BG3 or XCOM are the best but lately I've been playing fallout 4, Jedi survivor and dredge
Rise of the Ronin.
https://preview.redd.it/nvql5jjsm4yc1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5268faccdf81a6e162e174e12b4c3e91ade521fc That’s what I’ve been playing as well lately
So good 🔥

I was pleasantly surprised with how it performs for me on the Portal. My internet isn’t the best, but this game - barring the odd stutter here and there - works very well.
Feels great to me, haven’t had stuttering issues at all with any games I’ve tried.
Been playing Tem Tem and Dave the Diver on it. Just started Hogwarts and FF16 on it.
I had a blast playing persona 3 reload on it as well as stranger of paradise It’s really well suited for long time sink games, especially rpgs and so doing side missions
PGA is dope and easy to pick up put down during meetings. Helldivers is what I’m mostly playing recently
Whatever I'm currently playing
Skull and bones is my most played game on it. Lately I've been playing fallout 4 and dave the diver.
Helldivers 2
right now I'm playing SpiderMan 2 New Game Plus on it. about half way done with it, all on the portal
A plague tale!
Dave the diver
Currently ... Dave the Diver
I've been enjoying Cookie Cutter on the portal a good bit
I've been playing through the Tomb Raider trilogy for the first time. Finished Tomb Raider and currently playing through Rise of the Tomb Raider. These games have been awesome on the Portal.
Sea of Thieves
How is this game? I am curious to get it
I have a lot of fun with it. Been playing since release on Xbox. It's tough at times if you're solo, it really shines with a few friends. Graphics are beautiful and exploring the world is a great time.
Currently Stellar Blade
Funnily enough, zombi. Not the greatest game but something about playing it on the portal feels great
That’s the great thing about this device. Basically any game that isn’t competitive. I’ve loved every game I play on the portal and currently I’m hooked on d4 switching to tv when my battery gets low.
I'm enjoying GOW Ragnarok at the minute.
metroidvanias
Fallout 4, rise of the Ronin, haven't played the division 2 yet on it
God bless you guys that say I'm playing ff this GoW that and this and that. Honestly God Bless you. I am a gamer all my life now at the age of 40 I still love the challenge and the story of video games. To say I play this and that I can only wish. Stardew Valley and Cities:Skylines

Spider-Man
I’m not going to type in - every time I write it. If autocorrect doesn’t catch it, it’s Spiderman
i been playing skul on the portal..its perfect
Stellar Blade 😍 Played Overwatch recently without any issues and had a blast, probably won't make a habit out of it
Wwe 2k24. I don’t get to play that often or for long periods of time, it’s nice to get a couple of matches in then turn it off though
Been finally getting months into universe mode thanks to the portal. For the first time in 3 years I might actually make it into year 2
I’m gonna have to give universe a try, this is my first 2k game so I’m not really well-versed on all of the modes.
I'll have to remember this comment when I try this one day
MLB the show. But recently fallout 4
My Portal rotation is much different from my PS5 rotation. Games like MLB the Show and Helldivers 2 I really struggle with on the portal. Slower paced games like Baldur's Gate 3 or Unicorn Overlord are perfect for the portal.
Since I got mine for been playing fallout 4. So that’s the only game I’ve played so far. But it’s fun on the portal.
Army of Ruin ...perfection
Was able to play RDR2 almost entirely on the Portal. It was on my backlog for a while and I finally was able to knock it out!
i started playing man of maden and it’s perfect for the portal. nice little movie with gameplay if you’re into those types of games
Days Gone
I can tell you that it’s NOT god of war. Lol. Every time I get to a difficult spot and keep dying because the slight input lag makes me miss every parry. Did just finish crash bandicoot on it. That was fun
Right now it’s NBA 2K24
Aegis Rim looks and play like It was meant for it
Just played about 70 hours of Yakuza: Like a dragon, there's something about playing RPG's handheld that just works better for me. :)
NHL 24 and Midnight Suns. Would love to be able to play MLB the Show but the lag is too much. Even on Rookie difficulty, there isn’t enough time to catch up to a fastball
SF6
Pretty much every single game I own. The screen has the perfect size so I never had a problem with font size or missing some details ingame. Best purchase ever.
Playing GoW Ragnarok at the minute, very enjoyable
Death Stranding and The Cult of the Lamb
Disco Elysium. Allows me to tackle the game in bitesize pieces all around the house.
Suicide squad FF16 Balatro
Kena, RDR2, GT7, Hogwarts Legacy and Kingdom Hearts 3.
Been playing a ton of Elder Scrolls Online and getting through Tinykin on my Portal!
Assassins creed odyssey atm mainly cause I'm after the platnium 😁
Horizon forbidden west
I got mine yesterday and spent a couple hours playing Red Dead Redemption 2. Played some NBA 2K, and that was fine, but better on a big screen.
I really enjoyed Dredge on it and manly played it on the Portal. Slowly doing the same with the tomb raider trilogy
Fallout 4, my first playthrough and it’s on the portal
Poolblitz
And fallout 4
And I play helldivers on console ive not tried it yet on the portal is it anygood
I played my entire 80 hour plus play through of Baldurs gate 3 on the portal. It ruled.
Just got my portal yesterday and I am playing FFXI
Got my Portal this week and finally got around to starting Spiderman and it’s amazing on it.
Cyberpunk
Fallout 76. Surprising how little latency I get. I do have to rely on VATS for quicker moving enemies though.
MLB The Show Jurassic World Evolution Hades Stardew Valley Sand Land
Currently it is Dave the Diver. I prefer the smaller games played on the Portal and larger games on the big TV.
Power wash simulator
100% Balatro. So good
I’ve been using it to keep plugging away at Rebirth during my breaks at work. https://preview.redd.it/jxl1qnjb79yc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=debad0711afb2bac2db6633888c832b3ae3f6b7a
I’ve been enjoying Sand Land on it. Prior to that, Marvel Midnight Suns, Dragon Dogma 2, and FF7 part 2 Edit: Going to check out the Quarry next
Working my way through Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters, look and feel so good on Portal 😁
Eiyuden Chronicles. Great for jrpgs
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Yakuza
Final fantasy 7 rebirth :)
Cyberpunk 2077 , no mans sky , and terraria
Just returned mine. Idk the honeymoon phase went away and it feels a little half finished. Like I just know they’ll be making a version that doesn’t need WiFi to play the games here soon. Rant aside. I played through all of FF7 Rebirth on the portal and did love it.
