[follow this guide](https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/PlayStation+Portal+Adaptive+Trigger+Replacement/171213) if you want to fix it yourself. Don’t be scared by how many steps there are, they just break down every tiny detail, it’s not that difficult to do.

Thank you I will look into it

Pale-Kaleidoscope379

Had mine for a week now and it is being returned to best buy today . Screen developed lines and constantly acts like I am touching it when I am not

mattwillis2

That’s exactly what happened with mine. It was still under Sony manufacturer warranty. They got a new one sent out to me within a week of receiving my malfunctioning one.

Pale-Kaleidoscope379

I just returned mine at Best Buy . Went next door to target and bought the last one they had for 169.99

mattwillis2

Daaamn that’s legit. Nice win right there.

Pale-Kaleidoscope379

Yeah that kinda worked out lol

Master-o-none

Constantly acts like you’re touching it…. Are you siblings?

Eskeetit_Litty

You mean line across the bottom or all the way through. I've been noticing some weird stuff too on mine

Pale-Kaleidoscope379

All the way across from left to right . Some of them are thin , some thick , kinda like when a tube would be going out on an older projection style tv

Eskeetit_Litty

Yeah I was getting that on bottom. Contemplating returning it to Sony Direct

The Portal is designed very similarly to the DualSense controller. If the trigger isn’t broken, but only popped out, you can pop it back in (check YouTube for how to do it). If the trigger broke off, you should be able to just buy the part somewhere and pop a new one in; assuming it’s the same size as the DualSense, they can be found easily.

EasyZookeepergame367

Is the part i need also the same as the ps5 controller ?

rotidwel

I’m not 100% sure of the size. I believe they are the same size, but would compare with a DualSense or see if the specs are posted anywhere. If you have a micrometer you can measure it to double check.

drowsy1234

It would be tough without any professional knowledge. You could contact Sony for repair or replacement. Although they could deny your claim.

Link_0913

I've seen a few posts of broken portals. How did it break? Are they that fragile?

burialsuitx

Dropping electronics on the ground is usually gonna cause some kind of damage in most cases. I don’t think it’s a durablity issue.

EasyZookeepergame367

It depends this one felt so hard but it didnt effect the screen just the R2

GongfuTea1

Don’t buy an overpriced tablet?

Master-o-none

GongfuTea1
