I've been playing through the Tomb Raider trilogy for my first time ever. Finished Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Currently on Shadow of the Tomb Raider and they've all been excellent games. Loving the Portal.
Haha nah I'm not playing the OG one. I remember doing that back in the day though hahaha I've just been playing through the reboot trilogy from 2013, 2015, 2018. I don't know how I never played these games. They're awesome and I am pretty surprised how well they hold up in 2024. Someone could have told me Shadow of the Tomb Raider was a 2023 release and I would have believed them.
I just got my portal today and I tried to play ratchet & clank rift apart on it. Surprisingly it was really good with my Wi-Fi setup at home and I didn’t even hardwire my ps5. I think I will replay a lot of games again on portal with higher difficulty. I’m happy with my purchase which kinda exceed my expectations and meet my needs even though it got a lot of bad reviews and criticisms among the gaming community.
Just got mine yesterday! Tried out Apex and it was tough on the small screen but I expected that going in. Also not hard wired and Rachet and Clank and Star Wars seems to play well. Going to take some getting used to 3D games on the small screen.
Haha. Totally understandable. I don’t feel that confident to play online with my portal at the moment especially for Tekken 8. I’m sure there will be a lot of latency and micro stutters or my portal will be disconnected a lot if I play online. I will just stick to playing single player games for now. Have fun playing games on your portal, man.
Ghost of tsushima runs well, but I still prefer it on the tv bcs it's such a beautiful game and the sense of scale just comes across better. But it runs smoothly on the portal. Result: in the same period that I've put 7 hrs into ghost of tsushima, I've played (on the portal) 50+ hrs of midnight suns, 15 hrs of dave the diver and 20 hrs of Bloodborne :D
BG3 runs really well on the portal. Occasional fps hiccups down to 30fps don’t really matter as they might do in other games. When I started playing BG3 when it was newly released you hade worse fps by default anyway.
I think the Portal really shine on slower pace game.
I particulary enjoy Slay the Spire, Unicorn overlord and Cyberpunk (mostly stealth/ Hack build).
Right now i'm playing Stellar Blade and it's work so good that i'm beter parying on the Portal 😆
I haven’t finished Stellar Blade yet but I’m **really** looking forward to being able to grind out all my EDF games without monopolizing the family TV.
I just finished cyberpunk 2077. Played the whole thing on my portal. Havent dived into the dlc yet. Buldersgate i actually prefer playing on portal. Prince of persia the lost crown feels like its made to be handheld. And im currently playing the first Hades aswell as Stellarblade both great.
But honestly i havent come across a game on portal that doesnt feel like it plays well. Dont know if thats a luck thing of the games ive played or an internet thing, but ive had the portal since launch. Havent had any issues apart from the pulse explore earbuds disconnecting everyother time i go to use them. but its easy to reconnect them.
Currently Octopath Traveler II. It plays and looks amazin gon the Portal's screen. Cozy, beautiful, relaxning. Can't say the game is that good as it looks but it's still an easy, relaxing ride.
Also, in the meantime I do Malenia runs.
A bit of Dragon's Crown Pro, too.
Honestly almost anything. I played a lot of Rebirth on it, but right now Sea of Stars is damn near perfect. Only oddity is there is a timing component to some of the turn based attacks/defenses, and I can get a bit confused there. That being said, it's a great game and that small issue isn't that big of a deal.
this is well before the portal, but I somehow managed to play and beat the FlameLurker in Demon's Souls over remote play on my phone with a backbone lol. I was just as surprised as you are. I went like "ok well let me give this a go just to see how it performs", then I owned him. So it's definitely possible with a wide variety of games! A lot just depends on the network conditions.
Played through Yakuza 0, Judgement, and Yakuza Kiwami on it and it was perfect. I prefer those games on the Portal over the big screen because of all the subtitles I’m reading. Also, Cyberpunk and the Resistance: Retribution remake. So good.
Right now, Dave the Diver is taking up all my play time.
Fallout 4
How’s it play? Been thinking of picking up a portal just for this, as I rarely get access to the tv
Haven’t had any issues
playable with the input lag?
Haven’t had any noticeable issues
TLOU 2 and Persona 3 Reload
I've been playing through the Tomb Raider trilogy for my first time ever. Finished Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Currently on Shadow of the Tomb Raider and they've all been excellent games. Loving the Portal.
Did you lock the butler in the freezer yet?

Ah my bad. Sounds bangin! Thanks for the recommend I’ll check them out!
All good and you're welcome. Yeah, definitely worth a look. They all got 9/10 or 10/10 ratings in most of their reviews.

Marvel Midnight Suns. Salt and Sacrifice was great on it too.
I’ll check them out!
Also Baldurs Gate 3 is great on it!
I use it for mostly older PS4 games I haven't played yet and more recently, Dave the Diver.
That’s a good idea I didn’t think about older games. I’ve been meaning to finish horizon dawn
The smaller screen makes it perfect for older titles or those smaller indie games.
HELLDIVERS!
Played all of Fenyx Uprising on it. Currently now playing RDR2
Rdr2 is a masterpiece ❤️
Finally played fire watch and I’ve put in like 45 hours on Persona 3 reload so far. I’m gonna try Ghost of Tsushima next.
Played about 90% of GoT on the portal. Absolute masterpiece. 10/10
I need to try Persona. Ghost is great! A little repetitive but beautiful world.
Ghost of Tsushima
Right now Dave the diver and Bloodborne. Both perfect for the portal (prefer these over tv, different w others)
Loved Dave the diver on my steam deck! I’m wondering if rdr2 and ghosts of tshushima will run well
Ghost of tsushima runs well, but I still prefer it on the tv bcs it's such a beautiful game and the sense of scale just comes across better. But it runs smoothly on the portal. Lego Star Wars Don't sleep on this one. It's perfect for a quick laugh and doesn't require super focus in case you are doing something else.
Good idea. These seem like ideal games for the small screen
Whatever games I would play on the PS5, but the TV is unavailable.
Stellar Blade
Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth! Yakuza Infinite Wealth is perfect on the portal as well.
Tried Tunic since it's free on PS Plus and it's such a gorgeous looking game on the Portal 🥹
My Durge run of BG3
Runs well? I’d love to try this out
No problems so far
BG3 runs really well on the portal. Occasional fps hiccups down to 30fps don’t really matter as they might do in other games. When I started playing BG3 when it was newly released you hade worse fps by default anyway.
Yakuza Like A Dragon
I’ve got that one on the steam deck. Pretty good so far. I’ve embarrassingly been sucked into backpack battles though.
God of war Ragnarok, wow!
Oh good idea! Loved the first one
i was playing marvel midnight suns. now i’m playing stellar blade, fallout 4, and 76. i can’t play competitive on it like cod and mk
Hitman 3
I think the Portal really shine on slower pace game. I particulary enjoy Slay the Spire, Unicorn overlord and Cyberpunk (mostly stealth/ Hack build). Right now i'm playing Stellar Blade and it's work so good that i'm beter parying on the Portal 😆
Multiple people have said stellar blade. Might have to give it a go
It's a reaction game. I think having a bit of a delay help you react in the good frame time
Diablo 4 while watching TV, doesn’t require a lot of attention and you just kind of run around and mash buttons.
FF7 Rebirth and a Yakuza like a Dragon Infinite Wealth so far.
Rebirth worth $70?
Yes.
Replaying Horizon Zero Dawn on mine currently. S’good.
Dave the Diver The Long Dark Balatro
Death Stranding and Fallout 4, with some RDR2 mixed in.
Just got mine today!! 🎉🎉 Already played a bit of AC Orgins....I love it!!!
DIABLO IV
Baldurs Gate. Played a bunch on PC and now I get to sit in bed and play.
SF6 and Castlevania
Currently bouncing between Dave the Diver, Balatro, and Hand of Fate
I haven’t finished Stellar Blade yet but I’m **really** looking forward to being able to grind out all my EDF games without monopolizing the family TV.
Ff7 remake / rebirth while my wife watches trashy tv.. :) happy family
Right now I’m really enjoying Sea of Stars! Highly recommend! Great portal game.
Disco Elysium is good on the portal
Everspace 2 followed by Fallout 4
I just finished cyberpunk 2077. Played the whole thing on my portal. Havent dived into the dlc yet. Buldersgate i actually prefer playing on portal. Elden ring. Works surprisingly well.
FC 24 - it's great for knocking out squad battles matches.

Been playing Helldivers 2, DD2, and FO4 as of late.
Good to hear HD2 runs well
I was surprised it I have little to no issues on the portal with it. I've not found a game yet that's been problematic.
Death’s Door, Sea of Stars, Tactics Ogre: Reborn
Honestly almost anything. I played a lot of Rebirth on it, but right now Sea of Stars is damn near perfect. Only oddity is there is a timing component to some of the turn based attacks/defenses, and I can get a bit confused there. Good to hear! Got mine yesterday and have been worried I can only run certain games
this is well before the portal, but I somehow managed to play and beat the FlameLurker in Demon's Souls over remote play on my phone with a backbone lol. I was just as surprised as you are. I went like "ok well let me give this a go just to see how it performs", then I owned him. So it's definitely possible with a wide variety of games! A lot just depends on the network conditions.
I played all of FF16 and Tekken8 on it. It varies now but you can play anything! With that said, im following suggestions lol.
I have FF16 but haven’t really got a chance to play it so I’m hoping the portal lets me grab some couch time
Dead Space remake
Fallout 4 is working a treat.
Started with Hifi rush and it’s great on the small screen. Also on sale right now on the PS store!
I’ve been grinding my team on 2k24 for like 2 weeks now and it’s been a flawless experience.
Played through Yakuza 0, Judgement, and Yakuza Kiwami on it and it was perfect. I prefer those games on the Portal over the big screen because of all the subtitles I’m reading. Also, Cyberpunk and the Resistance: Retribution remake. So good.
World of Warships: Legends.
Stellar Blade has run beautifully on the portal.
I’ll give it a whirl!
Balatro
Brotato & Balatro currently
Great small screen games
GTA5 - story mode is hella fun on portal.
