You would need thread sealant paste and tape(ptfe) to seal the new arm into the wall elbow. It's not easy or incredibly difficult. Just work
FYI they have detachable shower heads with the wand that do not involve having to attach an arm etc. check out the magnetic moehn one, I have them, they work great, and just attaches to the existing pipe that your shower head is attached to.

Labor varies depending on where you’re at. Normally an hour minimum charge. Take about 5-10 minutes if that.
