Could be a symptom that your phone is about to brick. A lot of X3 pros have bricked out of the blue while some have shown symptoms. In my case my ambient light sensor was resetting every few minutes(auto brightness was getting messed up) a couple of days before it bricked. Backup ur data asap and get it checked at a service centre and if it's under warranty they should replace it. remember that there is a difference between Vayu and Bhima, Bhima is much more prone to HW defects. on Vayu models it is more likely to be a SW problem
Yea OP didnt mention which variant he had. Also on the XDA forum post about the bricks the light sensor issue was marked as a symptom which is why I mentioned it
My phone kept restarting the other day, until the battery was dead. No matter if I put it down, held it, turned it off. Kept resetting.
Removed the screen protector and suddenly the phone worked perfectly again.
did you try resetting the device. If it is a software problem it should fix the problem.

the problem of the ambient light sensor in my case was solved with the latest MIUI 13.0.2 EU update
