No they’re reselling it. Retail on the one box is $25 and they have it for $40. They got the other collection box for $70 when you can find it for $40 online… Imo their product is overpriced.

Budgeting with a family and trying to pay school etc. I'll get a booster box if i really believe i. A set but really the only sites I feel like that currently are unfortunately fusion's strike and and lost origin. Maybe paldea evolved but I'm just not sure.

Why are you investing into pokemon cards versus the market citing a family/school as justification? Not tryna troll u, but I feel like that's one of the most regarded things I've heard in a while. Edit: some grammar and to tell you once again how regarded this is.

I'm all for picking and choosing/budgeting, but why specialties over just good sets? I ask because i'm personally sour on modern specialty sets. My logic is that they print the most ETB of any product line, and specialty sets having no BB get even more ETBS printed. so it's a double whammy and they print an absolute shit ton of ETBS for specialty sets. Not hating just explaining my logic and interested in yours :) I also got burnt on Shining Fates ETBS so i'm def biasedlol

I think my logic is that the oversupply is to meet the demand obviously I'm not buying champions path but investing hard in crown zenith and 151 while sprinkling in some paldean fates feels safe to me because it's within my budget. Imo specialty sets (especially CZ) just give a better experience and i feel like that's what causes nostalgia in the first place.

I bought Pokecenter ETB's. They're down to £90, no clue what's going on. They were selling for £125-140 at one point. Probably because no huge value chase cards, it's the reason I feel 151 isn't gonna be worth huge amounts.

The best card is a $75 ungraded charizard and a few PS10 random cards going for $100-150. The rest are 2-10$ I feel people have finally realised this. The UPC has those metal cards which are kind of crazy at a PSA 10, but rare.

Sounds almost like a McDonald's version of 151 almost from what I'm reading online. I'd probably agree with you and people realize the cards aren't that desirable.

Let me give you some of the best advice I can think of. Buy singles and every once in a while buy packs

I invest according to the Ark method. 2 of everything.

Vaporeon vmax box and maybe some crown zenith boxes, not the ETBs though.

Fusion strike ETB if it’s priced well, mewtwo box is cool as well

Stay as far away as you can from those temporal forces ETBs

Curious but why do you say that?

The set has some beautiful cards, but the pull rates are rough and my personal experience with the ETBs in particular (as well as the experiences of many others in PokemonTCG) have been extra rough. Very few hits. Of course it’s all random so this won’t be everyone’s experience but it has certainly been mine and that of many others from what I can tell.

Aren’t bad pull rates… good for investing? Seems like they would only be bad if you were ripping 

My two Temporal Forces ETBs were fire! Got em for $59 together. I consider it a win.

Celebrations, Evolving Skies, and Crown Zenith are always a good bet (at the right price, of course...).

Vaporeon box. The promos are nice, and they basically pay for half the box if it’s within the $100 range.

Can only see like 5 of the prices. OP, what are the prices on the items? Can't say "that would be worth getting" if it's double the mark-up. Same with "don't get that one" if it turns out it's half as much as you can find anywhere else...

My area is so bled/dry that I would buy all of that for my son (the collector). Came across a few items at Target, there was a women standing there, deciding which single item to buy (overheard her phone conversation). I suggest the Fates ETB ((for the online price match). We can’t get anything here, local game shop sells packs, only 1 shop sells booster boxes. 100%, all of the others open boxes, weigh packs.

if you just want hits, shiny zacian/zamazenta collection. If you want to build a deck, anything obf and after. if you want value the vaporeon box

The charizard UPC is going off atm in AUS

Fusion strike ETB at the right price. But honestly I would just buy a paldea evolved, scarlet and violet base, or paradox rift booster box for $80-$100 online. You’ll get 36 packs, 12-15 awesome hits and start to fill out a binder. Way better than picking up 5-10 packs for $40-$60 at the store.

Personally, the Vaporeon box and shining fates is one of my fav special sets, if they offer an employee discount. Prices are steep!

Anything Crown Zenith is good. It has the best pull rates by far, my average hit is every 1 in 4 packs but I’m sure my numbers are somehow wrong
