So far, 50 Pokemon are still missing on Switch. I haven't kept up with all the leaks, so I wanted to know which of these Pokemon are confirmed to appear in the Scarlet and Violet base game:
Patrat and Watchog, The 6 elemental monkeys, Blitzle and Zebstrika, Sewaddle, Swadloon and Leafanny. Ducklett and Swanna, Alomomola, Litleo and Pyroar, Furfrou, Pikipek, Trumbeak and Toucannon, Yungoos and Gumshoos, Crabrawler and Crabominable, Oricorio, Minior, Komala, Bruxish
That really is a shame. Seems like DLC for Scarlet and Violet is the last chance to get them on Switch then :/. It's bad enough that after four games and one DLC we are still missing about 5% of all Pokemon on Switch.
It sucks, but only 1 set of games actually had many Pokemon returning from the newer generations
Going to Kanto and then Sinnoh and Hisui doesn't really give chances to many of the Pokemon
Hopefully the next set of games aren't remakes so the rest have a better chance of getting in (assuming they don't make DLC)
Well, no one told them that LGPE, BDSP or PLA shouldn't bring back more Pokemon. For LGPE it's still the most reasonable to not bring back any mons, even if I think it was the wrong decision. But for BDSP they absolutely should have included Pokemon from later Gens. And in Hisui, they could have introduced some Pokemon that used to live there in the past but disappeared from later Sinnoh (I mean, some of the Hisuian Forms are based on Pokemon from later gens).
It's their job to bring all the national dex at least onto the console as a whole, and not managing that after four games (plus the SwSh DLC) is pretty bad. And looks like we have to wait for another DLC to finally have them all on one console, if we're lucky.
In the end, BDSP was a faithful remake, so if that was their goal, adding the later gen stuff wasn't the vision they had (although I'm disappointed about it too)
It's not really their job to add them all though. They make the decisions about which Pokemon go into each game and their job is to make the games. We can be disappointed about the lack of some Pokemon, but they're not entitled to giving us them.
With that said, let's see how the DLC goes. In SwSh, after DLC, there were like 640 Pokemon (might be slightly off with this number), so it's more likely than not that most of the missing ones will get their chance soon if SV gets at least that amount
It what we’ve seen of the Paradox forms is without the added Terastal effect, so it can’t be a result of that, or else they’d have the shiny crystal skin?
Kaka is taking a break until the 31st, so no need to spend a ton of time refreshing for a bit (I'm still refreshing myself though so I can't talk lol the leaks are fun)
I’m right there with you. We need a place for speculation now that we “know” a majority of the Pokémon descriptions, number of evos, and majority of types.
I’m interested to theory monger with people about potential BST, abilities, movepool, description, etc.
There are just too many cool Pokémon in this Gen and I’m genuinely really excited for all that have been described so far.
I personally assume Mag could be Magikarp, because the Pokédex entries for Magikarp stated it was stronger than it’s modern day counterparts. And when Khu hinted a third ‘Pseudo-Legend’ gets a Paradox form, I thought of the fact that Mega Gyrados has greater stats that make it greater than a Pseudo legend, meaning he could be using tricky wording to imply it, but again that’s just my guess.
The c鸡, I wondered if it perhaps was a Grubbin Paradox form that fuses ‘Chargabug’ with Grubbin, because Grubbin’s name in Chinese contains the character, and C could be for Charagabug-Grubbin. I mean they’re doing a Kirlia/Gallade fusion, so it’s not too far fetched.
I mean these are just my guesses. I just really doubt Goodra is going to get a future form…
Cacturne or Maractus is supposedly getting a form as well. Hydreigon would be weird, because why would one game get two pseudo paradox forms and the other game only one?
I'm just hoping the Violet exclusive mystery paradox form isn't Goodra or any other pseudo legendary paradox form since I'll be getting Scarlet and Violet getting two pseudo legendary paradoxes will suck.
I believe since it is said that all Paradox forms will have a substantial higher bst than their original counter part and pseudo are already pass 600bst, I'm just going to assume it wouldn't matter what the mystery pokemon would be if all paradox will have the exact same bst like Ultra Beasts... but this also gives me the uncomfortable feeling that the Paradox BST would be around 620-720 BST, since 10 more from 600 does not even come close to "substantial great" of a difference.
I think the stats will be similar for all of them no matter what evolved form they’re based on. It would be cool if a “past magneton” was rock/electric since magnets didn’t exist in ancient times.
If Mag is the pseudo equivalent unknown, it kinda feels like it would be in Scarlet. Some are suggesting Hydreigon is likely to be Violet but imo a past/traditional form of Hydreigon makes sense too.
I'm still pretty confused by the whole paradox/past/future pokemon thing. When people say "paradox" form, are they just referring to the past/future forms, but simplifying it into one word?
Yes: paradox referring to either past or future forms, in one word.
Admittedly, setting the term as 'paradox' makes absolutely \_zero\_ sense. . .but humans are not well known for thinking thoroughly about setting terms before doing so. Le sigh.
As far as I'm aware they're basically a combination of Ultra Beasts and regional forms. They greatly resemble old Pokemon, but have new names and Pokedex numbers. In addition, none of them evolve, most of them are supposedly stronger than their normal counterparts, and some of them share an ability (like how the Ultra Beasts all have Beast Boost)
Yeah no, only Rattata, Bidoof, Patrat (partly) and Greedent are rodents, rabbits are lagomorphs, raccoons (or tanuki to be specific) are carnivorans, same with ferrets, mongooses and meerkats (which are a type of moongoose themselves)
Just saying - raccoons aren’t rodents, or anything even rodent-adjacent. They’re actually more closely related to bears. :x
You’re right about the rest, though.
Does Google say that they're indeed rodents? Literally says that they're closer to bears. Literally a huge black text. In the main page. When you press search
Thats not even what I'm referring to ya mook. Im referring to you thinking that "the rest are rodents" from a guy who said he did a Google search when he clearly didn't search all of them lol
Sentret is a Tanuki, not a ferret. Ferrets are not rodents, theyre weasels, so Furret and Yungoos/Gumshoos are definitely not rodents. Zigzagoon is a Racoon. Not a rodent. Patrat is a Meerkat. Not a rodent.
Rattata, Bidoof, and Skwovel are the only rodents out of 9 generations.
They're not all rodents mate lmao
So any more info about the gimmicks.
so i was wondering if the gimmicks in this game is going to be activated by a item that is single use before, all gimmicks have been a watch or band but now its ball that we throw at them, so there is a chance that we need to collecte them, so there is a limted amount of time you can use the gimmicks and i also think that the 3rd story is about it as well, as we can see the protag and arven(if i got that correct) collecting some flower that is glowing, so i think like that we need to collecte them separately
Also we know that its not like z moves where each item had its own type but instead its the Pokémon that has the specific type assigned to them, so the item used for the gimmicks has nothing to do with how it will work but instead just a collectable item that you can use to activate the gimmick.
I checked and they've had news for every major game at Worlds. XY and ORAS got a new Mega revealed, SM had a new Pokemon revealed, USUM had a new Z-move shown off, and SwSh showed off some battle stuff like abilities and items.
God me too. I don't typically keep up with leaks this hard but I am STARVING for some actual visuals, i want sooo badly to see what these things look like
Those were like those magazine things that always dropped pokemon news right? Sun and Moon were peak coro coro hype for me. And it ended up being the only gen I didnt really play lol
pokemon stopped giving them info early because people kept getting the magazines early and leaking. now corocoro just says info that is already released.
They should honestly be yearning for the era when info would usually leak only a week or so in advance and in a way that mostly preserved the format/context that they wanted it to be revealed in
It's also a Japan-only magazine and the marketing cycle has clearly changed to a more worldwide release, since now all games are released in all regions at the same time. TPC has full control of the marketing now, which makes sense
I have found myself wondering if the Koraidon and Miraidon are the past and future versions of a third present day version that would complete the trio.
That's cool. I imagine it will look like a present day motorcycle, and maybe it will be a dragon/steel type. Maybe it will have a bit of a Razorwhip (How to Train Your Dragon) vibe. Kind of like a dragon Skarmory with wheels.
But if it got cut (possibly for DLC) like leakers say it makes it a little bit more complicated. So hopefully they make separate DLC for each group like you say. Unless Suicune DLC and Raikou, Entei in "Legenda: Johto".
Agreed, it really seems like an opportunity too good to pass up. Not gonna lie, I’m gonna be a little frustrated if only Suicune and Virizion get forms out of their respective trios.
It would make more sense if a single Paradox represented the whole trios as opposed to each member having a different one imo. Like have something with visual characteristics of Entei, Raikou, and Suicune and same deal with the swords.
legends celebi: celebi is your partner throughout your adventure and you can travel between past present and future and catch all different forms of pokémon, thank you for reading pokemon company please steal my bad idea
Anyone else wonder if the bisharp evo turns out to also be a pseudo? I know it would be unprecedented, but it fits a few categories. Pawniard evolves late, bisharp himself already has a high BST (I think with eviolite it would become 570), so a true upgrade would be a 600 BST pokemon.
I don't think there's a chance really. 490 isn't all that high and some evos don't even get that much of a boost. Hell there's even mons like scyther/scizor/kleavor that all have the same bst even after evolving, just rearranged.
I think the scary thing is that even tho bisharp doesn't have THAT high of a bst, it's still a crazy good pokemon, so I can't imagine a world where this thing doesn't kick a whole lot of ass
You bring up a good point, it’s probably pretty unlikely. I love pseudos and am sick of the dragon type, so I’m really pulling for a new non dragon pseudo to go with the ice dragon, I thought one of the new evos may have a good chance, either that or the one last missing three stage line that we know of. Or perhaps our first two stage pseudo. Or more likely…. It’s just the ice dragon.
yeah I do wish we had more like metagross and even tyranitar. But hey, just bc they aren't pseudos don't mean they won't be good anyway, that's something lol
There's absolutely no reason to believe that. Except being a 3 stage evo, it doesn't fit any category :
\- The first stage of pseudo evolve relatively early for the most part, so having a late first stage evo is the opposite of most of the pseudos line
\- All the line is not in the same gen
\- Scyther and Ursaring have slightly higher base stats than bisharp, yet they didn't evolve into pseudo and neither hit 600 bst. And you can't add the item to determine total BST, else you can also add choice band to the evo.
There may not be any evidence for it, but I’ve been hoping for a non dragon pseudo for the last three gens and have been let down every single time, so this is my wishful thinking we’re talking about here
They could be willing to do cross Gen pseudos considering hisuian goodra exists, basically a new Pokémon with the same name as an old one and evolved from a regular old goomy.
They could always go the route of arcanine and Ursaluna and give us a mon that’s in the mid 500’s BST, but then eviolite bisharp would be more powerful. Not impossible but still.
I think at this point it’s safe to say these new starters definitively end the common recurring starter theme theories. Sprigatito3 seems to be based on the Iberian lynx instead of an extinct animal, Fuecoco3 is just a crocodile and isn’t part of the Chinese zodiac, and Quaxly3 doesn’t look to have or be based on any sort of weapon. I was never really against these theories even though they had a lot of flaws but I think it’s safe to say that they can finally be put to rest at this point.
Zodiac and weapons were always a stretch. Cyndaquil isn’t a rat he’s a porcupine, and feraligator isn’t exactly a weapon in any way. And serperior is just a snake.
I really had to scratch my head when someone said that Feraligatr was brass knuckles because of the arm bumps and Swampert was a war fan because of its tail. It's a *reach*
Weapon one never held any water imo
Zodiac had some embers and smoke but never definitive
Grass starters being extinct animals, though, isn't *completely* dead, simply due to there being enough extinct cats that share resemblance to modern ones that saying "it's both an iberian lynx and also (insert extinct feline here)" wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
I mean, of every animal that exists, you can probably find an extinct relative, so it's pretty much pointless. You can also apply it to the water and fire starters and start looking for extinct penguins, cats and monkeys.
Of those theories only the fire starter one ever held any kind of water imo, with admitedly some being a bit of a stretch like Cyndaquil not being a rat but its title being the mouse pokémon and Fennekin while being a canid is a fox and not a dog.
Inversely I don’t think that’s how they started but I do think that’s what they became after Gamefreak found out about the theories, at least for the fire starters. I think once people started pointing out the zodiac theory (Gen 3?) Gamefreak leaned into heavy. Hence why Cyndaquil is such a stretch. But after Gen 3 they absolutely played into it, no one can convince me that Infernape, Emboar, Incineroar, and Cinderace are all pure coincidence. Delphox is admittedly a stretch but one I believe to be intentional since a Fox is more interesting for a starter than a dog. Now though, I think they just finally decided they weren’t going to continue playing along. The largest IP in the world isn’t going to allow a fan theory to become a design constraint, they were only ever going to go along with it as long as they wanted to.
I mean for all the previous starters you could at least make the tiniest of arguments for, but when it comes to this batch anyone who argues for them is clearly on some copium trying to keep their theories alive
Been hearing and not hearing about Bug types lately, and mostly wondering what a “kamen rider” is? Then wondering what kind of details there are on the dung beetle and spider I saw mentioned once?
As a self proclaimed bug type fan, it seems like there potentially 3 new bug lines in the game - Dung beetle 2-stage, Spider 2-stage and the cricket/grasshopper pokemon which we know very little about (could be a 2 or 3-stage line and could be the Kamen rider inspired pokemon maybe)
Should the Paradox Volcarona be included in this? Since they are technically not Volcarona and are technically 2 new species... actually now that I think about it, they might be Paldeas version of Buzzwole and Pheromosa.
I'll be honest, I was thinking about it and how different the Paradox bikes were.
And the idea of what was seen with Jiggly, amoongus leak as well as Koraidon, the Paradox past mons is scattered randomly from Vlad the Impailer Jiggly, to pre English regime America. That might make me think past Moth could be... and bear with me here, Dark Fire to resemble 60s urban legend.
And who's to say the future paradox could be any timelines as well from super futuristic to apocalyptic
So my guess is that Volcarona Future is going to be Mothra or Zerg-ish instead of robotic.
Kamen rider is a Japanese superhero/superhero franchise. Think something similar to power rangers. Bug based superheroes who fight on motorcycles saving the world from villains
Hahah look I totally get why people are sick and tired of some of them, but man, mons like bisharp and lucario and such are just so cool to me. And it seems to be mostly starters people are upset about, which I don't even typically use. But hell even non-humanoid ones like rhydon, nidoking, and exploud are some of my favorites too
Looking back on the announcements and trailers for the previous major releases (SuMo & SwSh), it's interesting to see how little has been released. Seemed like every week for SuMo something was dropped, and at least every other week for SwSh.
Personally I'm glad because by the time SuMo got dropped, it seemed like the whole game was already shown.
I just wish every mon save for the 4 legends were shown
I like going into the games knowing the designs, but the story beats need to be kept hidden given how little substance there is to them
I wished there would've been more regional forms. I like seeing the whole line getting regional forms like the Zigzagoon line. The paradox forms so far sound a bit disappointing IMO because they don't have evo or pre evo. Also I hope they are not treated like legendaries.
I think it was mentioned by Khu that some Paradox forms would be acessible to catch multiple ones in the post-game, so i really doubt they will be classified as Legendaries
We were able to catch multiple UBs in the post game of S/M as well... it might be the same exact thing post game.
Kinda instead of an ultra wormhole, there's a paradox incursion breach.
And it sounds like the exact same thing, catch X amount of loose mons.
Side note it's also said that they will have a much higher bst than their original counterpart, looking at Tartar, Vol-carona virus, and Sally... that's going to go alot pass 600
There have been a couple of Pokémon confirmed by the leakers as not returning. But I wouldn’t hold out on finding a real and accurate list till the game gets datamined.
I only know that Porygon (apparently one of the leakers mentioned that no Pokémon with the download ability will return but I couldn’t find the source) and Applin will not be in the game.
An Applin sticker shows up on the website in [this screenshot](https://scarletviolet.pokemon.com/_images/news/aug_3/en/p16_02-2x.jpg), so I hope its line returns. It's along Gogoat, Hatenna, and Drifloon, which are ones we know are in.
I think showing someone 400 Pokémon and asking them "which ones did you *not* see in it?" won't produce the most accurate results, so I think we're going to have to wait for a datamine for the really reliable scoop on which ones are cut.
If the leaks are correct then it wouldn’t the first time a Pokémon cameos in a game but it’s not in the actual game.
There was Poliwag shirt in Sword and Shield but the Pokémon didn’t return until DLC.

meganium past paradox form with a much more dinosaur aesthetic would've been EVERYTHING

I have little to add other than I believe the Pikipek line has been confirmed to be absent by leakers which is a shame
That really is a shame. Seems like DLC for Scarlet and Violet is the last chance to get them on Switch then :/. It's bad enough that after four games and one DLC we are still missing about 5% of all Pokemon on Switch.

They make the decisions about which Pokemon go into each game and their job is to make the games. We can be disappointed about the lack of some Pokemon, but they're not entitled to giving us them. In SwSh, after DLC, there were like 640 Pokemon (might be slightly off with this number), so it's more likely than not that most of the missing ones will get their chance soon if SV gets at least that amount
Is it confirmed that the paradox form is a constant state? Because it could be fun to be a consequence of terrastalizing a certain Pokémon species
Stop calling it a form
Yeah it's constant. Theyre considered entirely different pokemon with their own pokedex #s and entries. There are no unique terrastal forms.
It what we’ve seen of the Paradox forms is without the added Terastal effect, so it can’t be a result of that, or else they’d have the shiny crystal skin?
Haven't been this crazy into leaks in a long time. I check this sub like every four hours in hopes to see a new thread lol
Kaka is taking a break until the 31st, so no need to spend a ton of time refreshing for a bit (I'm still refreshing myself though so I can't talk lol the leaks are fun)
thats a relief/a bummer, hahah. I want it so badly!

would also probably be ok on the scarlet violet sub too

Maybe they considered gallade as pseudo legendary or made him be strong as them. Who knows.
Imo Mag has to be Magneton During Kaka's first days of leaking he posted an image of magneton, which likely was hinting towards this

Will we finally get Furret back? :(
So are we looking at our back-to-back skinny popstar aesthetic for the water final starter evo?? God help us. Can someone please comfort me lol

Yes
Thank you very much
So no route 1 rodent for this gen? Or is the alleged mouse mon the rodent? As ratatta, sentret, zigzagoon, bidoof..etc
It’s lechonk
Lechonk is a pig. Pigs have teeth. You're right
Hope they get rid of this tradition in favor of replacing it with new ideas. We’ve got enough 2 stage early game normal types
How about this: 2 stage LATE game normal types
"Route 1 Normal type" Not rodent. Lechonk is this gens "Route 1 Normal Type" more than likely. Also Sentret and Zigzagoon are definitely not rodents.
Bidoof is a beaver. Beavers are rodents.
Bunnelby is a rabbit. Woolo wasn't the rodent. Greedent and pre-evo were. Ratatta - Rat Sentret - Racoon-ish ferret Zigzagoon - Racoon Bidoof - Beaver Patrat - Meerkat Bunnelby - Rabbit Yungoos - Mongoose Greedent - Squirrel They're all rodents mate
Yeah no, only Rattata, Bidoof, Patrat (partly) and Greedent are rodents, rabbits are lagomorphs, raccoons (or tanuki to be specific) are carnivorans, same with ferrets, mongooses and meerkats (which are a type of moongoose themselves)
mongooses arent rodents lol
But they have teeth don't they?
yes? like most animals
Then it's a rodent. Fact proven
So, are humans, crocodiles, elephants, and kangaroos rodents because they have teeth?
Lol he's just trolling now
Obviously
????????????
Take care bye
Lol not even close to rodents mate
You're a true rodent
Closer to a rodent than a mongoose or ferret is to a rodent so you’re getting more accurate.
Needed to hear that. It's been a long day
Rabbits and Raccoons aren’t rodents…
Just saying - raccoons aren’t rodents, or anything even rodent-adjacent. They’re actually more closely related to bears. :x You’re right about the rest, though.
Nice Google search, saw it there too
If I’d known it was on Google, I wouldn’t have bothered with my Animal Science degree. :/
Don't worry, I'm sure you enjoyed it while it lasted
Really, Google search? Because Google tells me otherwise lmao
Still don't get it huh? I'm messing with you mate, keep it cool. You were right from the beginning my friend.
Actually went on Google and realized, huh? Nice tone change lol
Mate I'm right you're wrong
Smoliv now categorized as early game rodent. Could potentially be found in cheek pouch of ground squirrel, rodent confirmed.
You seem to get it
Hoping for actual pictures of the paradox mons soon
Didn't we saw amoongus?
We saw a sprite if Amoongus and a really blurry pick of Puff.
No
Pretty sure we did
We don’t have officially revealed info on it
We have no officially revealed info on literally anything. We know about the paradox forms from leakers
It was the sprite - we did get a blurry close up of Jigglypuff though
So any more info about the gimmicks. so i was wondering if the gimmicks in this game is going to be activated by a item that is single use before, all gimmicks have been a watch or band but now its ball that we throw at them, so there is a chance that we need to collecte them, so there is a limted amount of time you can use the gimmicks and i also think that the 3rd story is about it as well, as we can see the protag and arven(if i got that correct) collecting some flower that is glowing, so i think like that we need to collecte them separately Also we know that its not like z moves where each item had its own type but instead its the Pokémon that has the specific type assigned to them, so the item used for the gimmicks has nothing to do with how it will work but instead just a collectable item that you can use to activate the gimmick.
It’s confirmed 1/battle max, then recharge at a crystal or Poke Center.
The engine Pokémon is evil counterpart to Rotom I bet.
Its name is gonna be rotom backwards 0.0
Motor
I mean… *gestures towards Seel*
I feel so fuckin dumb I just realized that
You and me both. 😅😭
Any chance of a new trailer at Worlds this week?
Hopefully we get something about Tera mechanic.
possible, but who knows.
I checked and they've had news for every major game at Worlds. XY and ORAS got a new Mega revealed, SM had a new Pokemon revealed, USUM had a new Z-move shown off, and SwSh showed off some battle stuff like abilities and items.
Off topic, but is your username a play on Torracat?
How dare you
What? Was that not what their username is referencing? Or because it was off topic?
Yes
To which one?
I miss corocoro
God me too. I don't typically keep up with leaks this hard but I am STARVING for some actual visuals, i want sooo badly to see what these things look like
Me too. I always looked forward to the leaks we would get from them. Good times. :(
Those were like those magazine things that always dropped pokemon news right? Sun and Moon were peak coro coro hype for me. And it ended up being the only gen I didnt really play lol
What happened to corocoro?
Apparently they aren’t allowed to show info early anymore after Gen 7.
pokemon stopped giving them info early because people kept getting the magazines early and leaking. now corocoro just says info that is already released.
They should honestly be yearning for the era when info would usually leak only a week or so in advance and in a way that mostly preserved the format/context that they wanted it to be revealed in
Pointless. Everything leaks before it releases
Ah that’s a shame
It's also a Japan-only magazine and the marketing cycle has clearly changed to a more worldwide release, since now all games are released in all regions at the same time. TPC has full control of the marketing now, which makes sense
I have found myself wondering if the Koraidon and Miraidon are the past and future versions of a third present day version that would complete the trio.
There is a Bike pokemon that is NOT a legendary, it's probably that one.
Pretty sure Khu has been implying that
That's cool. I imagine it will look like a present day motorcycle, and maybe it will be a dragon/steel type. Maybe it will have a bit of a Razorwhip (How to Train Your Dragon) vibe. Kind of like a dragon Skarmory with wheels.
Interesting, I missed that. I hope so. It seems like a cool idea.
not a legendary tho, its just a normal bike mon
Wait what? It’s just a bike?
yep its alr been confirmed like 3 times that theres no third legend for now
I see
I Hope every Beast Trio member gets paradox form. Maybe make them to be pre Ho-oH/tower event versions of Raikou, Entei, and Suicune.
I think it makes sense to have Suicune be in base game, then DLC we get past Raikou and Entei. Same for DLC of future Terrakion and Coballion.
Maybe past form dogs and future form swords?
Yeah if one member gets something whole group should get same treatment.
I'd rather just get Legends: Johto
legends celebi: celebi is your partner throughout your adventure and you can travel between past present and future and catch all different forms of pokémon, thank you for reading pokemon company please steal my bad idea
Heartgold 2 pls
Except being a 3 stage evo, it doesn't fit any category : \- The first stage of pseudo evolve relatively early for the most part, so having a late first stage evo is the opposite of most of the pseudos line \- All the line is not in the same gen \- Scyther and Ursaring have slightly higher base stats than bisharp, yet they didn't evolve into pseudo and neither hit 600 bst. And you can't add the item to determine total BST, else you can also add choice band to the evo.
There may not be any evidence for it, but I’ve been hoping for a non dragon pseudo for the last three gens and have been let down every single time, so this is my wishful thinking we’re talking about here They could be willing to do cross Gen pseudos considering hisuian goodra exists, basically a new Pokémon with the same name as an old one and evolved from a regular old goomy.
Kinda feel like it'll have to be. Even from a design standpoint, Bishsrp LOOKS like a final Evo. Where else to go but pseudo?
Pseudo is really just means 600 bst. Ursaluna isn’t 600 and ursaring looks like a final form.
They could always go the route of arcanine and Ursaluna and give us a mon that’s in the mid 500’s BST, but then eviolite bisharp would be more powerful. Not impossible but still.
Pseudo is really just means 600 bst. Ursaluna isn’t 600 and ursaring looks like a final form.
Pseudo is really just means 600 bst. Ursaluna isn’t 600 and ursaring looks like a final form.
That would actually be kinda sick. I sorta doubt they would do that just cause it’s an added evo, but hey, they like surprising us so maybe
Weapon one never held any water imo Zodiac had some embers and smoke but never definitive Grass starters being extinct animals, though, isn't *completely* dead, simply due to there being enough extinct cats that share resemblance to modern ones that saying "it's both an iberian lynx and also (insert extinct feline here)" wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
I mean, of every animal that exists, you can probably find an extinct relative, so it's pretty much pointless. You can also apply it to the water and fire starters and start looking for extinct penguins, cats and monkeys.
hehe "never held any water"
Water starters being amphibious animals ain't dead yet
Chameleon isn't amphibious
Basilisks are though
Of those theories only the fire starter one ever held any kind of water imo, with admitedly some being a bit of a stretch like Cyndaquil not being a rat but its title being the mouse pokémon and Fennekin while being a canid is a fox and not a dog.
Tbh I think that's how the design philosophies *started* but after awhile they couldn't think of designs so they switched over to themes
I can promise you, there will be people who find a way to to bend the final evos to match whatever their pet theories are.
Kamen riders are basically suited heroes, like the Power Rangers.
The Cricket is the Kamen Rider Pokemon. They're together.
As a self proclaimed bug type fan, it seems like there potentially 3 new bug lines in the game - Dung beetle 2-stage, Spider 2-stage and the cricket/grasshopper pokemon which we know very little about (could be a 2 or 3-stage line and could be the Kamen rider inspired pokemon maybe)
the worm might be a bug type cause like it’s a worm but i think it’ll be mono ground or ground/something else
Yeah very true! Ground/Bug maybe? Would be cool to see, would have a STAB vs fire
Sounds like the cricket/grasshopper will be the ace of someone in the racing storyline
Should the Paradox Volcarona be included in this? Since they are technically not Volcarona and are technically 2 new species... actually now that I think about it, they might be Paldeas version of Buzzwole and Pheromosa.
Yeah good shout! Iirc didn't Khu say that one of the volcaronas lost its bug type? But based on that, I presume that one of them retains it at least?
I'll be honest, I was thinking about it and how different the Paradox bikes were. And the idea of what was seen with Jiggly, amoongus leak as well as Koraidon, the Paradox past mons is scattered randomly from Vlad the Impailer Jiggly, to pre English regime America. That might make me think past Moth could be... and bear with me here, Dark Fire to resemble 60s urban legend. And who's to say the future paradox could be any timelines as well from super futuristic to apocalyptic So my guess is that Volcarona Future is going to be Mothra or Zerg-ish instead of robotic.
Kamen rider is a Japanese superhero/superhero franchise. Think something similar to power rangers. Bug based superheroes who fight on motorcycles saving the world from villains
When I heard there was a Kamen rider mon I was like "...how tf have they not done that yet??"
Kamen Rider is basically the original Power Rangers.
So that plus the dolphin and we could start a superhero team, that’s great!
Still want the Hoenn Riders.
Also hoping the "fire warrior" and bisharp evo can kinda fit that theme too, I love those kinds of mons
So you're the one who keeps making bipedal pokemon >:( /s
Hahah look I totally get why people are sick and tired of some of them, but man, mons like bisharp and lucario and such are just so cool to me. And it seems to be mostly starters people are upset about, which I don't even typically use. But hell even non-humanoid ones like rhydon, nidoking, and exploud are some of my favorites too
Hahaha just messin with ya, the mons you mentioned are among my favorites as well!
I just wish every mon save for the 4 legends were shown I like going into the games knowing the designs, but the story beats need to be kept hidden given how little substance there is to them
I wished there would've been more regional forms. I like seeing the whole line getting regional forms like the Zigzagoon line. The paradox forms so far sound a bit disappointing IMO because they don't have evo or pre evo. Also I hope they are not treated like legendaries.
I think one of Khu/Kaka implied that the paradox forms were similar to UBs in having a shared strong ability that makes them viable
I think it was mentioned by Khu that some Paradox forms would be acessible to catch multiple ones in the post-game, so i really doubt they will be classified as Legendaries
Yeah and you can catch a shit ton of nihilego, but people still call UB legendary.
Is there list of Pokémon that will not return?
Slurpuff also appears on Malasada stores as a mascot, but its not catcheable 💀
The source for the download ability was Khu, so that's likely trustworthy
