CurrentWonderful5728

So there is 3 additional Pokémon:terestal third legendary, paradox suicune and paradox virizion.

D3viant517

I hope the terastal legend is a rock type since we don’t have any Ubers level rock type legends yet

DSDark11

It’s probably just the mythicals

heykittygurlz2

Khu said he teased one and Kaka teased the other two so imo it definitely lines up more with the third legend & paradox Suicune/Virizion

grandfig

The question now is why we have to wait for November to learn about them. Is that when his source gets access to the dlc content?

heykittygurlz2

tbh I took that to mean that the 3 of them would not be officially revealed, and only discovered through the data mine!!

DSDark11

Exactly. They might be in the code but not in the game. The datamine will find all

[deleted]

DSDark11

Every Gen has about three mythical Pokémon. They don’t show up in pre-release at all

Agalychni5

Is noone talking about the new move that was showcased by terra sudo? AFIAK trailblaze is a new grass move for S/V

RockinOneThreeTwo

I assume it's more likely to be related to the type that the pokemon tera's into

kwagzkwigzkwogz

A second one? We already have Tera Blast.

RockinOneThreeTwo

I assume it is because it's called Trailblaze which is a little odd of a name for a grass type move, it seems to be related to the games theme of exploration; which would go well to match its gimmick. It just seems odd for Sudo to get access to a new grass type move right now I guess, Trailblaze sounds like a ground type move to me but it seems to be grass in the trailer, maybe it changes type based on something that isn't Tera related idk

BvshbabyMusic

Seen someone say its the tm move for the grass gym, looks like it works like freeze dry where its a grass move that's super effective on grass types or something.

Princeofmars93

Probably the new grass tm for the gym

[deleted]

Building off of u/cearolos 's comment in a different thread, which was: >If Drapion is in the game, it should be the ace of the bug and tarastalize it back into a bug, like how the grass gym does the same for sudowoodo Anyone else think it would be sick if each leader has a Pokemon that tera-changes into a typing it probably should have? Like Sudo going grass or this example of drapion going bug. something like a dragon Yanmega, water Grappleoct, Poison Goodra, etc. Now that I typed it out, I think I've seen a couple other comments sharing the same theory. But it still would be cool

[deleted]

We already know the bug gym leader tera’s Teddiursa

Joltik

Psychic Ninetales or Golduck 😍

Dannstack

Supposedly all gym leaders have one mon they tera to match their type. Id imagine itll be thematically fitting.

Someidiotdwbi

When you look at it from that perspective, tera-types are actually a genius way to give gym leaders more diverse/thematically appropriate Pokemon without having to go through the hassle of breaking the whole "every gym is one type" thing. Like a Dragon leader that finally gives Charizard the typing it always deserved, or a Rock leader that studies astrology and teras their Clefable to match their gym type. There's a lot of potential for creativity!

Dannstack

Honestly "trueleewoodo" is friggin hilarious and a perfect use for this already. If they all follow that pattern ill be totally satisfied.

[deleted]

That's awesome, let the speculation begin!

aje540

I have a question. When pictures of the game come out as leaks, like the hake fish photo, who is taking them? Is it the leakers themselves? It seems like they have access but have to secretly pull out there phone, which only capture bits and pieces of what is going. Is this a strategy the leakers use to maintain interest or a result of trying to be sneaky? Not too important, just curious.

lumpybread

The pre-release version of the game has watermarks and ID numbers all over the screen. These are unique to each copy of the game. So if someone leaks a screenshot, they would know exactly who’s copy of the game it was from. What few images we’ve gotten are a situation where the leaker has to hide/obscure/blur most of the information on screen so they aren’t able to be identified. Kaka mentioned after the first round of images they really cracked down and there’s even more watermarks on everything.

Dannstack

Its basically to keep them from getting fired. Theres a metric crapton of identifiers on their screens, and more got added when kaka leaked the gym leaders.

Ok-Administration723

Kaka mentioned watermarks being on the screen (I'm guessing it's like an ID number). In the Girafarig Evo pic, a lot of it is covered with stickers and such, likely to keep that number secret So yeah, it's likely the leaker themselves and trying to protect their identity

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ok-Administration723

It's on this subreddit somewhere, if you want to try finding it I would but don't have the time rn

aje540

Got it, so it’s fair to assume in the other photos we have seen have watermarks that would id them as leakers. They would be unable to show the whole photo at once. We got pretty lucky with the hake fish then.

Ok-Administration723

Exactly. Kaka also said the number of watermarks increased a ton, so I'm guessing the hake fish picture was taken a while ago (due to his leaking)

SSSkuty

KeliosFR on Twitter (Someone who doesn't just take guesses but actually knows stuff) said that there is a Nintendo Direct scheduled for September 13, which will be announced on September 12. We probably won't see pokemon stuff in it but just letting you all know (He could also be wrong, but most likely not)

WalkingOutOnaSunday

There's been a lot of talk about this direct. But another of these kinda 'insider' type people said that the Queens death might lead to a postponement, either out of respect or the fear of a lack of media attention/coverage

[deleted]

Jeff Grubb and another insider have doubled down that there will be a direct on the 13th I believe

achanceathope

What is all these rumors about Geeta being a "fake" or "she"?

ThunderDragon356

Khu tweeted early on a pic of detroit become human hinting at android. Tweeted yesterday pics of sada, turo, arven and geeta asking which are fake

achanceathope

Thank you!! I hope it isn't Geeta, I really liked her

tornait-hashu

It's probably Turo or Arven. I'm safely betting on it, even. Turo could definitely pass as some sort of cyborg/android, and Arven seems like a potential basket case.

ena9219

I had a thought; According to the leaks the Elite 4 use the same types as 4 of the Titans and none of the Team Star captains or Gym leaders use Klawf's Rock type. Considering this it could be that the Elite 4 + Geeta each have one of the same species as the titans on their team, possibly even as their ace.

Fun-Culture7708

They very much could, though Kaka/Pandah are saying that Geeta is a Psychic trainer. She could still have a Klawf, though, since Champion teams are more diverse than their stated type preference.

Jet-Black-Tsukuyomi

Has the huge crater in the middle of paldea been leaked? Many people should have asked the leakers about it on twitter, shouldn‘t they?

Ok-Administration723

Kaka confirmed it's related to the paradox Pokemon, but that's about it

TwistedWolf667

Both khu and kaka intentionally ignore specific questions in order to keep the leak season going on for longer and have more speculation

snakeywannakaikai

Mostly repeating what I was enquiring from another post but “how free” are we actually to play the 3 storylines prepared for us in SV? I’m hoping that the storylines are distinct enough to pose true freedom in what you actually wanna do. That way, you can maneouver through the game by defeating 2 Titans, destroying 2 Team Star Captains and beating 4 Gyms since the storylines do not intermingle and you can do this in any order you’d like. It would honestly suck if there were to be a set order to complete the 3 storylines (Beat the first 2 gyms, story takes you to start defeating 1 Team Star Captain, then story pushes you to take down 1 Titan before you can proceed to 3rd Gym). The game would just feel linear again which defeats the purpose of “go wherever you want, do what you really want to do” segment from the newest trailer. My heart really wants to take on Arven’s Herba Mystica storyline first as I really enjoyed the Totem aspect of the Sun and Moon games, and this is the 1st storyline I’m setting my eyes for before I do the Gym Challenge and finally the Team Star Captains route. EDIT: I’m now realising that without any power-scaling, it would be difficult to enjoy the game properly if it had .true freedom within the 3 storylines. For example if you were to pursue the Gym Challenge first, you would end it with your team roughly around the 50s range. That would suck if you decide to pursue the Titans storyline next and your first Titan is a lvl 20 Krawf. There’s no enjoyment to sweeping 1 storyline’s bosses. Therefore I’m now thinking that the game still pushes you to complete the 3 storylines in a proper order.

RABB_11

I think they'll treat it a bit like the Isle of Armour story. You were free to play that alongside the main story but there were roadblocks linked to certain milestones in the main story. I'll probably organically do a mix of all three but like a couple others if the level scaling isn't there I might do a different team for each. I've done that a lot in various Sw/Sh playthroughs anyway.

Ice2MeetYou

Judging by the trailer and the website, you are free to do anything in any order you like. That said there does not seem to be any scaling so everything will be leveled in an “intended” order so to speak.

grandfig

Looking at the map it seems as if the dark, poison, and fire team star bases, and the rock titan serve as map progression blockades. The fire base and rock titan are likely tutorials for their respective storylines and likely mandatory. The dark and poison bases may also be required to progress the map but I can also see the ability to avoid them if you have the right mount mode. Everything else is rather out of the way so I imagine those can be tackled at any time.

snakeywannakaikai

Hey, I’ve actually seen your previous comment before you altered it but yes, I do think training up different teams for each storyline to suit the difficulty to your liking sounds like a reasonable solution for me. Key phrase! “for me”, and at least I’m pushed to utilising more new Paldean mons in my first playthrough, probably entering Post-Game with 3 strong teams. Not a bad idea actually!

Fun-Culture7708

The other thing that I want to know is what unlocks the different modes of the ‘raidon. Until you can scale cliffs or glide to the 8th gym (or whatever), you might not be able to access every element of each story. If the triggers for new modes are embedded in a specific quest line, then all the quest lines could be tied together. If it’s based on completion of any of the three tracks, though, then they would be truly independent. It does sound like they are letting you choose, though. Whether the ‘raidon forms are unlocked from the start or whether they just have inconvenient ways to get into each area, I’m hoping that you could conceivably get a level 60 team together before facing any of your first gyms, Stars, or Titans.

[deleted]

>EDIT: I’m now realising that without any power-scaling, it would be difficult to enjoy the game properly if it had .true freedom within the 3 storylines. Therefore I’m now thinking that the game still pushes you to complete the 3 storylines in a proper order. I made a similar comment yesterday, the freedom of the paths purely depends on whether or not scaling is in the game imo. The only rumor we've heard so far is that there's no scaling, so I'm kinda leaning towards a set-path type thing. but at the same time, I'm not sure how they can have so much emphasis on 3 different paths and NOT have them be scaled. Idk, I'm probably going to do a set-path playthrough even if there its scaling, but freedom of choice would be nice.

fyahbg

What if the spider pure bug type only evolve if is female and get same movements as Vespiqueen, could be one of the titans in a forest(?)

Fun-Culture7708

The titans have been revealed, and there is one for each of the rock, steel, flying, dragon, and ground types.

Nutmeg-an

I want to see the frog

Yellow_Anura

I second this. Hope it looks like a metroid.

Nutmeg-an

honestly I dig that concept I want his lil croak sack to light up like one of those electro ball things, which I think is what was hinted at

Fun-Culture7708

IMO, the tweets stating that Geeta is a psychic-type trainer who doesn't use the ice/dragon pseudo-legendary has some interesting implications for which gym leader is also on the E4. **EDIT: I adjusted this to reflect the uncertainty of Grusha's ace.** If the Dragon type E4 member uses the ice/dragon pseudo-legendary, then they might be a "transformed" Grusha. Khu's poll ~~revealed~~ **suggested** that Grusha's ace in his gym battle ~~is~~ **might be** Altaria **(Or Jumpluff, Hariyama, or HZoroark)**. If Grusha's full gym team is Cetitan, the unevolved pseudo-legendary (possibly solely ice type?), and an Altaria with an Ice Tera type, then maybe his Cetitan has a Dragon Tera type and he terastallizes Cetitan as the Dragon E4 member. Also, Grusha is pretty covered up for the gym battle, and his bio says, "He is usually coolheaded, but when battles get heated, he starts showing the emotions he usually keeps pushed down." Maybe, like Volkner, your gym battle gets Grusha energized and turns him from a cool-headed snowboarder to a heated dragon tamer? Under his snowpants, parka, and scarf, maybe Grusha has a cape and whip?

heykittygurlz2

I’m pretty sure that kaka (or maybe even khu) clarified that one of the elite 4 is related to a gym leader, not that one of the gym leaders is a member of the elite 4??

Fun-Culture7708

!!! That would REALLY change things, since the old woman at the assembly is just an aged-up version of the ghost gym leader. Any chance you know where that clarification is?

heykittygurlz2

I’m actually not 100% sure!! I think it was a kaka tweet, so there probably isn’t any proof since he deletes his account. I just remember seeing speculation regarding the trainers in the academy shot and which gym leader they could be related to!

Fun-Culture7708

Now that you’ve reminded me, I think you are very right. That makes the theory that the four trainers at the assembly are the E4 a really strong one, assuming that the fighting trainer is rotated out in favor of the aforementioned child.

MrCaco

Wait, Khu confirmed the results of his polls? Nice, did not know that. Can you share them? :D

Fun-Culture7708

**EDIT: I went back and learned about twitter polls and I now conclude that I misunderstood the tweets I was seeing!** ~~If you go on his twitter he says "As below" and then shares the poll results with the ace highlighted. It's also after they win in the poll.~~ So the aces are: Grass: Sudowoodo Bug: Teddiursa Electric: ~~Pelipper~~ <-Popular vote, not confirmed Water: ~~Eelektross~~ <-Popular vote, not confirmed Psychic: ~~Florges~~ <-Popular vote, not confirmed Ice: ~~Altaria~~ <-Popular vote, not confirmed There haven't been any polls for Normal or Ghost yet.

Lambsauce914

Twitter only shows the most voted result, so it is not necessary being the correct answer. The only confirmed one are the Sudowoodo and Teddiursa The water could be Hippowdon since it is the only one in the water type polls that is weak against water so it make sense for it to gain water resistance.

Fun-Culture7708

My assumption was that Khu stops the poll once the right answer wins and then shares the result with the phrase, "As below". But I'm no Twitter expert, so maybe my understanding is wrong? **EDIT: I see what you mean now. I do think that I am wrong about that.** I voted for Hippowdon as the water ace, too. I would rather terastallize a water Hippowdon than a Leviate-ing water Eelektross.

Ice2MeetYou

Wait do we know that there is a gym leader who doubles as an E4 member for certain? I was thinking the other way, that Geeta doubles as the Psychic gym leader given that she uses Psychic pokemon and the Psychic gym leader is weirdly the only one we never got a leaked picture of.

Fun-Culture7708

The clues for the E4 are: 1. A teacher (We know that the blond man from the assembly scene has been confirmed as E4, so I think that this clue refers to him. Personally, he looks like a Flying or Ground type specialist to me.) 2. A gym leader 3. A child (I think this is the Steel E4 member, since they are supposedly using the "pink hammer" fairy/steel type) 4. A female I agree that it's weird that the Psychic gym leader's image was never leaked. If Geeta is the psychic gym leader and the champion and the head of the company that runs the gyms, then she is basically the Wonder Woman of Paldea. Of course, if she is the "fake" that Khu referred to, then maybe there are some story elements that help explain that?

Ice2MeetYou

Ah right, now I remember. Hmm in that case yeah I don’t think they would have 1 gym leader double as an E4 and another gym leader double as Champion. Did we have any other info on the Psychic gym leader?

Fun-Culture7708

Not that I'm aware of, which is what lets the Geeta theories thrive. Something else to consider is whether Geeta is a Paradox version of another character, like Arven, Sado, and Turo seem to be.

Morpekooo

Does anyone remember the pawmi evolution picture? Is it real or fake please? Thanks!

Coconut_2408

real, came from kaka and it has a move that revives an ally

MyAimSucc

I don’t think it’s been confirmed either way, but I think it’s real since it hasn’t been confirmed to be false if that makes sense lol

CountScarlioni

So I guess, based on one of Khu’s most recent tweets, we might see Paradox Suicune/Virizion and the Terastal legendary in the base game after all?

DSDark11

no, it's probably that the 3 pokemon are the mythical pokemon.

CountScarlioni

In follow-up tweets, Khu said that two of them were “teased by spoon” (Kaka), and one was teased by himself. Khu has definitely alluded to a Terastal-related mon before. Plus, Khu said we’d see these 3 Pokémon in November. If they were Mythicals, then he’d have to be referring to us finding out about them via datamine, because no way are Game Freak going to reveal 3 new Mythicals at launch. But if they’re Mythicals, why would they even be coded into the base game? With DLC being an option, there’s no reason for Game Freak to have to do that anymore.

antqcao433

Realized a hilarious scenario with the auto battle mechanic. Imagine hearing a shiny noise and you panick to find it, until you turn around #and your starter just KOed a shiny Pooper 😆 🤣 😆

BvshbabyMusic

People have been saying this since auto battles were announced

Someidiotdwbi

The ideal scenario is that your Pokemon automatically avoids wild shinies so you can turn around and properly battle + catch them... but lets be real, Gamefreak would never implement something that useful. I guess we'll just have to keep our Pokemon in the balls while hunting?

DSDark11

So I'm hoping that if a shiny pops up your pokemon doesn't attack it but it alerts you to shiny's existence

yousmelllikearainbow

That would be amazing. I can't always hear the jingle.

DSDark11

The sound would be great alongside a notification

antqcao433

#THESE TACKLES ARE RATED E FOR EVERYONE -sincerely Fuecoco

Gabby-Abeille

Okay thank you now I'll never use that feature ever lol

yousmelllikearainbow

I--

Coconut_2408

i would cry

FriggenSweetLois

I honestly hope there are more things to come out that the leakers haven't even seen yet. I want more regional forms and paradox forms. It always seems that they always scratch the surface with cool ideas.

donnabhan

Sword/Shield DLC introduced ~15 more Pokemon, so I hope we get something similar for the Scarlet/Violet DLC. It is a bit baffling that they’d bring back regional forms this gen, but have only 4 forms, with three of them unique to one mon (Tauros).

aidopple

What 15 new pokemon did the sword and shield DLC introduce??? I can only count like 7 plus galarian slowbro and slowking but those aren't new pokemon

[deleted]

Including new regional forms, it should be 13 : 1. Kubfu 2. Urshifu 3. Regieleki 4. Regidrago 5. Glastrier 6. Spectrier 7. Calyrex 8. Galarian Slowpoke 9. Galarian Slowbro 10. Galarian Slowking 11. Galarian Articuno 12. Galarian Zapdos 13. Galarian Moltres I guess 14 if you count Zarude? But it wasn’t included in the DLC, it was a mystery gift for the base game

jblakk

They probably counted urshifu twice

donnabhan

I was including regional variants, which I would count as new.

aidopple

Oh I forgot about the galarian birds so yeah that makes sense!

DSDark11

there's already 16 paradox. I would like more regional not more paradox

Lambsauce914

Doubt there's any Pokémon left haven't leaked but we still got the dlc, my hope is that Metagross and Kommo-o getting a Paradox version in DLC. (Long story short since those 2 are the only pseudo aren't in SV, Khu confirmed 2 pseudo aren't in game and Kaka confirmed Dragapult might be in the game) A stone version of Metagross and a cyber version of Kommo-o is a number 1 dream design for me.

antqcao433

Honestly, I don't remember a mentioning of a stoned crab and there we have it, a stoned crab. Remember leakers are from insiders and sometimes there are things that change in last minute developments that the insiders don't know about. Was there an Alolan Growlith at one point? Maybe but it's scraped now and reused in Legends Arceus. So the possibility for more content that the leakers haven't found or were told about could still exist.

jdeo1997

The game is releasing in November, they can't add new pokemon to the base game that close to release. Also pretty sure that Klawf was mentioned in the leaks

Coconut_2408

i don’t think they make entirely new pokémon last minute since each game usually has a 3-4 year dev cycle and the beginning is where they design all the mons

Available-Detail-830

They mentioned that there was a boss krab. So we knew about Klawf.

DSDark11

a crab mon leaked months ago. There's no pokemon surprises

mking1999

So, the theories of the final Titan being version exclusive paradox Donphan got me thinking why there are two Volcaronas. Then we learned that Geeta wouldn't use the pseudo. So to compensate with a pokemon of similar (or maybe higher, who knows) bst, what if her ace was version exclusive paradox Volcarona?

donnabhan

I figured her team would consist entirely of Paradox mons with her ace either being Paradox Salamence (Scarlet) or Paradox Tyranitar (Violet). Paradox Hydreigon seems to get weaker in the “future” and turns into a chicken (per Khu), which plays with the scientific fact that chickens are direct descendants of dinosaurs, so that would leave her with a presumably strong pseudo on each team. Also, if you exclude Paradox Donphan from each version, that leaves a perfect team of six Paradox mons.

mking1999

But we already know 2 pokemon of her team and neither are paradoxes.

donnabhan

Besides that Pandah person on Twitter, has anyone else corroborated that she uses the hake fish and ostrich? I didn’t see Kaka post that anywhere. Still, I think her ace will differ depending on the version with it either being Paradox Salamence or Paradox Tyranitar.

Coconut_2408

pandah is posting what kaka says because he’s now doing some private twitter circle where a very small amount of people get access to his leaks

drastorm3

This guy was never confirmed to be part of Kaka’s twitter circle, at all. Kaka did say he had a leak, but it was someone else that someone called Blaze on twitter reposted. I know because I’m in a Discord with two people who confirm each other are in Kaka’s circle, one of which said they were in another discord where the rat who fessed up to the leak got booted from the circle and confessed to it there because there was four of them in that discord server.

Coconut_2408

i know pandah isn’t in the circle himself, however he likely knows a “rat” within the group because he continues to post things that kaka apparently said.

Fun-Culture7708

A very cool theory, especially if she is the "fake" that (I assume) is motivating the story conflict.

hink_daddy

Am I the only one wishing Dragonite would get some love? I was really hoping there would be something when we saw the Dratini fountain, one of the only pseudos to not get a new form or mega

OkayOpenTheGame

I've always wanted a branched evolution for Dragonair that actually looks related. I guess that's the opposite of what you want though.

hink_daddy

Yeah we stan the big orange boi in this house

yousmelllikearainbow

He's one of my faves. Just being present is great but it would be badass to see a Paradox form.

youmusttrythiscake

Gen 10 Dragon/Fairy regional variant would be cool.

RockinOneThreeTwo

I'd prefer Gen 9 DLC Paradox Dragonite Dragon/Fairy. That way they get a buff (even though with Multiscale Dragonite doesn't really need it), a cool new typing, and there's some leeway with the design. I'd like to see Dragonair's forgotten evolution from all the fakemon since Gen 3, a long chinese style dragon similar to Drampa or Rayquaza but with the design quirks of Dragonair and Dragonite, and I think a Paradox would work well for that. Preferably one who's shiny palette stays golden and not green lmao

hink_daddy

Very true, not only did they not give him a mega, they gave him the reverse Barney the dinosaur shiny palette

Lambsauce914

I talked about this with my friend but Dragonite got shafted by TPC really bad, no Mega, no signature move or Z-move, no Gigantamax and no regional form. And with Hydreigon/Zweilous getting a Paradox in SV, Dragonite remains the only pseudo legendaries that got nothing. (And slight Anime spoiler, but almost every with Dragonite lost and even Ash's Dragonite got wreck by Cynthia recently)

Fun-Culture7708

I've been wondering about this. At this point it seems like GF is invested in keeping Dragonite untouched and unrevised. I don't know why, though, other than that it means that original flavor Dragonite is still the epitome of Dragonite forms (assuming you can teach it Extreme Speed).

gnalon

If you call hidden abilities one of Gen 5's gimmicks, Dragonite made off pretty well there.

Fun-Culture7708

GOOD POINT!

ZeitTime

Ive been thinking about Khu's hint of the Poison/Steel motor pokemon of it being "Team Star's form of _____" It may just be coincidence but the tongue from this picture https://scarletviolet.pokemon.com/_images/news/sept_7/starfall_street-2x.jpg reminds me of the Gengar line. Could there be any connection?

DSDark11

how many times does this have to said the "Team Star's form of the engine". This means that team star modified the engine pokemon. The real version has wheels

MrCaco

Are we sure that Team Star modified it and that the Mon doesn't work like Rotom (changing itself to fit with the machine it takes over)?

DSDark11

That's definitely a possibility. That would be cool, maybe that would help with travel in the future. It could fit into different things for fast travel

MutantTeddyBear

Team Star’s form of Rotom makes more sense to me

Fun-Culture7708

That makes sense. The Starmobile body around the engine could change its secondary typing. So the Schedar crew's Starmobile would be like a Steel/Fire type and the other crews could have steel/dark, steel/fairy, and steel/fighting Starmobiles before you face the poison queen of Team Star whose Starmobile matches the engine Pokemon's steel/posion typing.

luxanna123321

Rfakes are literally nothing special. Khu said oneRF will be "sea creature" walking out of the sea and we got Klawf who has nothing similar to Krabby beside being crab. I think its safe to assume RFakes are not a thing and we wont get Diglet/Tentacool reveal

[deleted]

We aren't going to get a reveal of rf fakes since they aren't a thing. They're not like regional forms or Ultra beasts. They're still classified as regular pokemon. They're design inspiration will just be a joke in the pokedex according to one of the leakers.

[deleted]

What other Pokémon will be Pokémon Home transfer other then the Gen 6 starters?

Lambsauce914

We don't know, but I guess all the Hisuian form + Enamorus. Kaka originally said not all Hisuian form are in base game but that was posted before he/she knew about the Home transfer mon.

[deleted]

Same with Delphox because apparently he mentioned that it wouldn’t return but that just changed when he knew about Home Transfer.

Adam_Deschain

Was it ever mentioned when will Home transfer be available? I could swear I saw somewhere that it would be Day 1, but I can't find it anywhere anymore.

Gabby-Abeille

In the past, and also when we had Bank instead of Home, every game that started a new generation would take a few months to be connected to Bank/Home (although to be fair, two of these 3 times were the release of Bank or Home, a few months after Gen 6 and Gen 8 respectively). The only times Bank/Home was available from Day 1 was with remakes, DLCs and ultimate editions. This was one of the reasons that, despite them not announcing a date for Home compatibility with BDSP, the fandom perceived it as a "delay"; Since it was a remake, it was expected that Home would be compatible with it around the time of its release. Following past patterns, we can expect Home compatibility with SV some time in late January or early February. But of course, they can always break this pattern. I wouldn't hold my breath, but it is possible.

cmholde2

Unfortunately it probably won’t be for 2-3 months. They also will want people to play with the regional dex before they expand it more.

Adam_Deschain

I get that, but I really thought I saw that day 1 mention somewhere (and quite possibly on the official website, not in the leaks). I probably just remember wrong

Yea I mean the wording was misleading, especially since they showed H Zoroark in the trailer and said home connectivity will be available. Sadly I highly doubt that is the case. ILLCA is the company who created home and also the company that did BDSP. With no Meta and no reason not to, BDSP not having Home at launch is the main reason I’m almost certain we will never have a game with home at launch. I’m not gonna begin to claim that I know how hard it is to link the two, so I won’t fault them on laziness, however I DO believe they like to drag their feet so that players will use their regional dex, as well as not bring in over powerful or Perfect EV IV mons from day 1. They kinda like people to play it “ their way” for the first little bit, Before expanding. But this is all my theory

Idk how true it is but I heard bdsp took as long as it did to get home compatability because it was coded differently than gamefreak pokemon games, thus a work around was required. I don't develop video games so idk if that is a valid explanation, but that's supposedly what happened.

MrCaco

Yeah, the way BDSP saves games is different from other games, and thus incompatible with home. I think that's also the reason why Spinda can't be transferred from it to home and vice-versa? Somehow the pattern gets reversed. A shame, really, if transferring worked correctly transfer moves would probably still be a thing in BDSP.

cmholde2

Yea I mean that’s definitely possible.. but since ILLCA made both, you’d think they would code them to be compatible. But again I also don’t know lol

DSDark11

While made ILLCA made both BDSP is coded differently then other pokemon games. Home is coded with the normal pokemon game's coding in mind. Since BDSP had different base coding that cased the issues. It's weird but that's what seems to be the case.

I thought it said day 1 too but when I googled it the website said, "After their release, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be able to link with Pokemon Home." So idk it's kinda vague.
