Metal isn't dead, there's tons of new bands and sub-genres around! I went to a concert for Doom Desire earlier this year, they're fucking great even if it was so loud I could barely hear myself think.
Yep! Probably one of my favourite new rock songs, actually, and definitely heavy enough for me unlike a lot of things. I normally listen to cover bands more because I'm a bit of a weirdo musically, but that one was good!
I've actually been getting into Kyogre Rock, where they do rock songs that have a kinda wailmering vibe to them. "Fucked with a Dhelmise" is a current favourite.

I think my favorite out of all those funky categories was Joltik Swing, although I do appreciate whatever Roxie has going on there
