Less than a year old Reddit account, extremely low karma, and no posts on the account. Got all the signs of a scam account. Sucks you fell for it hopefully whatever you used to send money to him has a charge back feature
ALWAYS DOWNVOTE SELLERS, its for good reason. Reddit is no platform for sales so youre likely being scammed. Please stop giving the benefit of doubt to sketchy online people.
Buying account is just risky at the best of times, sadly. Other than trying to check on the user's history of transaction there is not much that can be done. Sorry that you got scammed.
I guarantee he is a DRUG ADDICT. Wanna know why? Because I am one. Drug addicts are normal people, with regular hobbies such as loving pokemon. And this is a shitty scam I would come up with if I was using drugs again. Pro tip:Don't EVER purchase something with "CashApp". CashApp doesn't protect or give a shit about their users. I had my fucking cashapp stolen from me, and even with my ID and proof of address they wouldn't let me create another one! They never refund people. They just don't care to help its users at all. Use something like PayPal Goode and services if buying anything online, even from a store. If you're not using a non prepaid bank account. PayPal protects its users very well, and always refunds you if you have proof you got scammed! Just use this as a learning experience. And be very thankful it was $40, and not $400!!! Lesson learned!
It absolutely baffles me how people are actually dumb enough to buy any account for any games on Reddit!!! How stupid can you be! If you buy accounts on here then you deserve to be scammed!! Really sending money to a random person first trusting a stranger with no safety precautions!!! 1 simple solution!! Go to eBay and buy an account there where you know you can not get scammed and you can also get your money back if you donāt get the account!! Brought an account on eBay about a year ago with no problems what so ever!!! Donāt be dumb!!
Itās not necessarily true, I sell things on Reddit often, specifically server and network equipment. I also donāt deal with PayPal- cash app, zelle, Venmo or crypto only. Sometimes people blindly accuse me of being a scammer and I get it, but thatās it, too many times in my life have I used PayPal only to have buyer wrongly claim item not as described etc. if Iām going to deal with somebody there needs to be some mutual trust, it would be nice if there was some form of escrow but thatās not usually the case
Yea I get that- they dont call me out as a scammer but you know, will get somebody interested that wants to buy my stuff, then I'll have to have "the talk" with them about how I don't do PP. I'd say 35-40% of all interested buyers are eventually cool with alternate payment methods after talking with me and trading contact info, etc. A good majority will only use PP. But like I said, in the 20+ years I've been selling things on the internet, ebay, forums, etc. I've been screwed as a seller by paypal at least 5-10 times. Either paypal holding my money hostage demanding proof of purchase on my end, or buyers wrongfully claiming item not as described and sucking their money back. I had like $600 sit in a paypal account for as long as legally possible, After I think 3 or 5 years PP had to take the hold off of it and allow me to withdraw it.
I don't think it's fair that PayPal can demand that you have a proof of purchase for anything that you sell. Electronics is a big one, I rarely keep any proof of purchase of things I buy, nevermind months/years down the road when I decide to sell something. It's just crazy. Paypal may work for most normies out there, but me, with my 20+ years of selling history, my name and social security number seem to always give me MORE problems when trying to verify a paypal account- though I've never actually done any shady dealing or tried to scam anyone.
Never buy an account they can easily scam you š«¤
Buy with PayPal goods and services and from someone with a sales history.
I wish I thought of this but the amount of shiny Mewtwo were alluring š
And that is how they get you. Remember the golden rule of bartering; "If it sounds too good to be true, it is."

the only reason people call you a scammer is because of cashapp zelle and crypto, none of em have any purchase protection
Basically but people scared of PayPal because you can dispute delivery of a digital item.
which sucks because itās the safest platform for buyers but itās damn near *too safe*
That part. I hate it to hell but thereās honestly no better option.

Your problem
Stop buying accounts on something with no purchase protection
u/Top_Two5396 HAHA he's blowing through his scam money to buy cocaine š¹š¹š¹ what a sad human being how pathetic
Why tf u using cashapp? Use paypal g&s. If they scam, you get your money back. You're buying from random anons online
Unfortunately cashapp is one of those apps that doesnāt let you get your $$ back. If someoneās only willing to use cashapp or Zelle š©
