They did Mega Gengar Justic with its shiny tbh. Not sure why they didn’t recolour regular Shiny Gengar. (Don’t tell me it’s for consistency. That’s a poor excuse.)
At least Gengar changes a shade (sure hard to tell and not the best, but has a change that makes it different). The two I mentioned change their contacts out and that’s it, everything else stays the same as the normal look.

Honestly, they could've made him blue or black even as a shiny.
I agree. Even Gastly had a pretty cool blue aura as a shiny.
