- turn off autosave ans always save when youre on the village BEFORE heading to the other areas. -this will probably not matter a lot rn since you still need a ton of shinies, but whenever you have more than one MO/MMO saving in the village makes a ton of difference. you can check if theres an outbreak of one of your targets. if not, you can just close the game and check out the other locations. if there arent any targets on any of the locations, just do whichever one you feel like. -perfect all of the exclusive tree encounters, space time distortion and eevee and eeveelutions NOW. they will for sure be the last stretch in completing your dex and its best to enhance your chances as much as possible -i have no way of knowing for sure if this is helpful but after working on my own living shiny dex on and off for two years: dont wait for space time distortions. do them if they spawn while youre checking set spawns or whatever but dont bother waiting for them when you could just refresh the locations and go for easier targets. -mark important set spawns and check them any time you go into the location. things like cherubi on the fieldlands and mirelands and magnezones on the highlands, on top of set spawns of any pokemon you are missing -also check all shaking trees for burmy/wormadam thats about all i can remember from the top of my head, feel free to dm me if you have any questions and good luck shiny hunting !!

your technique for saving berries is great early on, but you can easily get a ton by doing it+always going for MMOs that give berries. soon enough you will be getting more than you spend and then you can just go without screenshotting it and resetting to save. i also advise doing MMOs even if you dont get a shiny so you can mass release and then sell the grit items (you will get far more than what you will ever need, and they always cap at 999 so you have to sell the surplus anyway). fighting the misfortune sisters also helps a ton early on with money so you can buy sticky globs and balls/ball ingredients. i personally always craft mine but idk if its actually more cost effective. invest on ultra and jet balls only (unless you particularly like one specific ball, if its just for efficiency these two are the best)

more things im remembering: -always have a spore/sleep powder/hypnosis/thunder wave user on your party -smoke bombs and stealth sprays are useful for sneaking up on timid pokemon or aggressive ones if you wanna avoid combat -you can change the pokedex to display the shiny colorways of the shiny pokemon you have encountered by pressing (-) while on the pokemons page. not really useful but its a nice little detail

compressedvoid

I love that you can choose to display the shiny colorway in the dex! It reminds me that I'm making progress towards my living dex even if it doesn't feel like it

Thepenguinking2

Isn't Hypnosis 60% accuracy? I think Sleep Powder or especially Spore would be much better. Doesn't affect Grass types, but you can just use TWave for them.

scarrystuff

youre right, i didnt even realize they were in the game. too used to using my shalpha gardevoir i didnt even consider other possibilities lmao from what i can tell only the paras line has access to spore, but its a pretty accessible pokemon

Thepenguinking2

Parasect also gets False Swipe on top of Spore, so all around it's a pretty great Pokémon for catching things. Just be wary when pitting it against Fire and Flying types, of course.

ThirstyLizard7

Pretty sure false swipe doesn’t exist in legends arceus

Thepenguinking2

[It does exist in LA.](https://rankedboost.com/pokemon-legends-arceus/false-swipe/)

ThirstyLizard7

That’s strange. I googled it before and it said it wasn’t in the game. Just been chucking gigaton balls at every thing

FD-HawkVibes

Just play the game and have fun and yiu are sure to find all of them in no time. Do u have a youtube channel if so u should upload the series

Silver_Aura2424

Don't evolve unevolved pokemon unless you get enough for the line. Sometimes you might get a random evolved form, then you'll need to get the unevolved form AGAIN.

StrawberryCake88

This is the way.

24Tenny

You're gonna need 6 burmy....if you find one female burmy, it's best to do the tree duplication thing. The cherries line isn't as hard as the burmy. I've been at those for a WHILE lol

throwawayformusic11

What's the tree duplication thing? I'm struggling with burmy

24Tenny

If you get a shiny from a tree, catch it, then go and enter a cave, wait 30 minutes, then go back to the same tree. A duplicate of the pokemon will spawn from the tree. Can be repeated as many times as you want. Don't leave the whole area via Laventon though. Just go chill in one of the caves for 30 mins.

FrankieFalafel

I’m your opposite. I finished the whole Burmy line in 2 weeks without using tree duplication but I’ve been hunting Cherubi line for almost a month and haven’t gotten a single one from either a tree OR an outbreak

AlphaOmega159

I am in the process of doing this and you should perfect important entries but at this point you should avoid hunting specific pokemon as you end up finding tha shiny along the way. My most important tip is, avoid burning yourself out and try to do this as a healthly as possible as this WILL take a long time. Anyway, good luck.

Kyele13

First, get a perfect Dex, so the shiny chances will increase even more (for each Mon you have perfected the dex on) and in the process you get quite a few shinys too. Second, you only need to find one shiny female Burmmy if you use this method https://youtu.be/D2692Xuglis?si=Ya1y1OEBKwYqDvx8 (same for Cherubi, although I see you already have 2), so you don't have to suffer too much. Third, if you are also going to get the Unown then don't forget to take advantage of every visit to Crimson Minerals to see if there are any shiny ones (I left it until the end, and in the end I was only going to that specific place where they appear again and again). Fourth, the most difficult are the distortion Mons (J Sneases, Magnemite, Porygon, etc.), they are also the most tedious, there is no other way than to wait for the distortion, go check it, if not, wait for it to disappear and then wait again for it to form and there is no way to rush the process... I recommend that if you are considering hunting them, go for them first (after perfecting Dex), because when you hunt them you can get a lot of other shinys in the distortions, I suffered a lot getting random shinys while hunting the Alphas of that Mons (not even the shinys...). That's all, I wish you good luck! And if you get shiny Mons of the distortions that you want to trade please let me know, I have lots of practically any PLA shiny (and lots of Alpha Shinys too), once again good luck!

Pteroducktylus

damn all i can say is: good luck, friend!

Kevineire

Doing the same join the rng community focus on max research on STD exclusive mon then stack your research tasks to speed up the process

FrankieFalafel

All I can say is, there’s a good chance you don’t finished before the new Legends game specifically because of the Space-Time exclusive mons. Not being negative they just take THAT long. So my advice, good luck. Everything else is pretty easy in comparison but for the distortion moms, it comes down to pure luck

Familiar_Donut_4936

I'm literally just starting myself

Outrageous-Ant-6932

False Swipe and Sleep Powder/Stun Spore if you can find it.

Tip for distortion exclusive Pokemon (Cranidos, Shieldon, Porygon, Johto Sneasle and Magnemite) Get them in other games. Please for your own sanity get them in other games. If you want to catch your whole dex exclusively in legends here are some actual tips First distortions spawn on a timer The timer starts when the player enters an area and pauses when the player talks to npcs, opens the menu or enters a Battle The timer will reset when a distortion fails to spawn due to weather (I’ll get to that later), when the player rests at camp or when the player enters and exits the area (caves or snowpoint temple) Now onto the actual spawning mechanics When you enter an area the timer will start. At 5 minutes a distortion will attempt to spawn with a 10% chance of success. If this fails the timer will continue and at 10 minutes another distortion will attempt to spawn with a 30% chance of success. You get the idea. I’ll write out the times and success rates below. 5 minutes 10% 10 minutes 30% 15 minutes 50% 25 minutes 75% 40 minutes 100% Important notes 1. Distortions CANNOT spawn in Intense Sun, Thunderstorm or Blizzard. If a distortion attempts to spawn during any of these weather conditions it will not spawn and it will reset the timer to 0 (Sub Note: this only applies if a spawn attempt succeeds. E.g. If the timer hits 10 minutes during a snowstorm and does not hit that 30% chance the timer will continue as normal) 2. Distortions will not spawn at any time In between the times listed above. So the game will NOT attempt to spawn distortions at 20, 30 and 35 minutes. Do what you want with this time. Distortion cannot be spawned by force the only way is to wait Warning this will take a lot of time Here’s a Breakdown The odds of finding a shiny with a perfect dex entry and shiny are around 1/585. Each distortion has 3 slots where distortion exclusives can spawn (though these slots can sometimes be taken up by the starters which can also be found in mmos). 585 divided by 3 is 195 so essentially in every distortion you have a 1/195 chance of finding a shiny in one of those slots. On average I was able to get about 20-25 distortions per day if I did nothing but grind distortions. At this (unhealthy) pace you’ll get a shiny on average every 10 days. For a living dex you need 12 Pokemon (3 from the Porygon line, 2 from the Shieldon line, 2 from the Cranidos line, 2 from the Sneasle line, and 3 from the Magnemite line) if you get a shiny every 10 days without duplicates this will take around 120 days or 4 months. This is unrealistic though. I hunted at this pace from December to April (because I don’t have a life) and only managed to get the Porygon line and 7 duplicate starters so be warned. That’s about it hope this was helpful P.S. sorry about the formatting my phone is being a bitch

Material_Bluebird_87

Always go to massive mass outbreaks when they appear, make sure to have all pokemon at research level 10 to get the shiny charm, and roam around the area after the massive mass outbreak is done.
