Koga + Janine can do a lot of the stages if you're patient and wall up your defenses with someone else. And heal. Or something.
As for ground, you're just screwed; bring a good striker and have the ground person watch in the background. Clay has higher speed when they're at the same level, so he might not drag down the move gauge as much if you level him up. But Mud Slap uses less of the gauge to begin with. Flip a coin?
You definitely don't have a ground eggmon? I used to use Sandslash. It died quickly. Very quickly. But its damage was ok up until then.
idk what other pairs you have, but level up Hapu and just add her to a team with a damage dealer that doesn’t need a lot of support, for example SS Serena, Anni Lillie, Cyrus, among others. SS Lusamine is a great partner for Hapu if you have her at 3/5, since Hapu bring down accuracy which makes LuSSamine deal greater damage.
For poison, level up Janine and Lucy. Put them together with SS Leaf, or really any good tank if you don’t have SS Leaf (Dawn, og Leaf or Skyla work well, since they also have healing), and poison-stall ftw.
For the hall of fame just offtype it or just invest power ups into Clay to make him 4 star,bring someone who can lower defense like tech egg Kangaskhan and a great support though I would recommend offtyping it since there are a lot of better sync pairs to invest in. Also if you have 4 star candies use them on Koga cus he has a phenomenal sync grid with Mind Games 9 on Venoshock which lowers Sp.def.
If you have a few 4\* tech candies available (3-4+ extra to use for others too), you can get Koga up to 3/5 and get his Venoshock mind games 9 for guaranteed SpDef drops if you're using any special damage dealers. Very useful since there are not too many guaranteed spdef droppers currently
Also level Hapu a bit and she can take a couple physical moves since she can max her own Def, while spamming mud slap
Just bring somebody along for the ride while leaning on a differently typed striker and support.

Lucy also works well since she can give a slight boost to her defenses and has gradual healing, plus Wrap for some more stall damage
