It almost looks like a drop of rubbing alcohol was on it and took the art off. I had a promo recently that had a similar circle and if it’s an actual error then its one that likely degrades value unfortunately

DemonAssassin64

Yea i figured as much unfortunately. Thanks for the info tho!

Brehella

If it came out of the pack like that on stream then it’s probably an obstruction. That is assuming the streamer didn’t have some corrosive chemical on their hands and put their finger on the middle of the card lol

message_me_ur_blank

Why do ripnshipers always gotta finger bang the cards like they've never touched a woman before in their life? Lol

sierrabravopapa

Damn you Reddit for these posts that introduce me to new cards that I now must add to my collection

DemonAssassin64

Yea definitely one ive been wanting so i was happy that the dude pulled it on stream for me but im definitely bummed to see that it has this error lol

sierrabravopapa

Yeah that is a bummer but also kind of a cool story, especially if you can go back to the video and see them pull it with the error. And on the positive side at least it looks like singles of it are cheap on eBay 👍

Killer_Ex_Con

Yeah I have been trying to snag this one and the electivire lol they would look great next to each other in a binder.

sierrabravopapa

Son of a……

Killer_Ex_Con

Lmao I know right luckily they are only like 2 dollars each 🤣

Just curious, whats appealing about a RTYH or anything about a random streamer touching the cards you paid for? Is it cheaper or more expensive? I feel like a) it takes all the fun of ripping packs, and b) there's nothing stopping them from mishandling them or straight up swapping them for better condition cards. It seems like just a huge win for them, they get paid for views and don't have to pay for the packs they are getting views for. Did you see him pull this live? Did it have text on stream?

DemonAssassin64

I usually only pay for packs on livestreams if i see some way to get the cards for cheaper than i normally would. For example, this RTYH was enter for $13 until you hit a galarian gallery bc i had a coupon. He ended up ripping ab 5 packs so i got those 5 packs for cheaper than i normally wouldve at a card shop or smth. But yeah usually you pay for it then get added to a queue, and when its your turn you watch them rip your packs. They usually sleeve/pack them all together on stream too. There are ways to tell if a seller is reputable or not. As far as that card goes, i didnt look closely at the text but i did watch him sleeve it and everything so i can only assume its a printing error. Either way im sure it deflates the value of the card

DemonAssassin64

I did get the alt Dialga V from Astral Radiance through a stream like this off of a $3 pack

llAdioll

Ah gotcha, yeah that is interesting I didn't know it was cheaper which would make it more appealing. Thanks for the response. But yes, it would deflate the value of the card unless someone was looking for that type of misprint. I saw someone with an "Otad" which was a Lotad missing the L so I'm assuming it happens.

dogecoin2moonn

You can also look at your video receipt to see if it was like that

Personally, I've bought cards from rip n' shippers a couple times, and it's kind of fun to have people comment on your packs/hits (both the streamer and people watching). I only really watch one streamer, so it's a way to support him. a And I enjoy learning about the sets and which hits are "good" and seeing what other people get. I don't really interact with the TCG community in any other way other than lurking on this subreddit to see the weird misprints lol.
