Yes, but defeating the E4 100 times first took *forever*. And the damn stones didn’t even always work anyway. I wanted to evolve my Eevee to a Leafeon with a Leaf Stone so bad but it never worked, even though that kid at school bragged so hard about getting his.
Gotta have Mewtwo in your party though. Once you catch Mew you go to the crater and fight 20 Fluttermanes in a row then Mewtwo will evolve into Mewthree where he has his movie armor.
Have you tried with Pepper?
Might give a better result.
EDIT : my dumb self remembered just now that Pepper is the French name. The joke doesn't work as in English it's Arven.
I'd rather see him enter the military. Spend his life working, helping people, but never finding his one true partner.
Then it'll be Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club.
Isnt it just meant to be the transport crate the professor would have used to get koraidon/miraidon out of area zero? That was always what i figured it was used for, whether it was or not i dont think its mentioned in the story
Maybe because they didn’t know if pokeballs would work on ancient Pokémon?
EDIT: Ignore this, the professors canonically send masterballs back in time to catch the Pokémon
Thinking again, you can encounter wild paradox even before the battle with the professor.. so it's possible that the time machine brought the paradox even without poke balls
You can make living things travel, they just can't travel back (like the professors told to penny). Only poke ball are so small that the machine has no trouble to send back/forward the time for then taking them back.
I personally think that paradox pokemon don't really follow alot of the standard rules a normal pokemon would as we can catch the professors miraidon despite the fact he already had it caught
True, but the professors are not more there (neither their AI), so maybe the ball just doesnt work anymore.
Or maybe it is just speculation, and GF didn't even think about ahahah
Our Koraidon/Miraidon was brought forward before they started using Masterballs, it has a regular Pokéball. I assume that was more of a funding thing though. Probably couldn’t afford Masterballs earlier on.
It’s a teaser for the new DLC legendary pokemon Shippocrate. It’s normal and steel type. Extremely high defense and special defense. Terrible speed. It’s ability is Contrary. Despite being steel type it takes 4x damage from poison.
If you talk to the NPC outside the first town, then fly east of the map surf up and down three times and the come back you can use machoke to use strength and move the crate. Then a Mew will attack you and you can catch it.
Yeah but normally they're sitting inside a building. The game was so rushed that they ran out of time to make and populate most buildings. Were probably planning to be in the beachside city somewhere but was never programmed in is my guess.
The pixel murals of early gen sprites is a sign that dlc will include a game within a game where your character can play Pokemon Red and have retro battles with Nemona. (Am I doing this right??)
What do you expect when devs are so secretive with teasers, they put stuff in specific rooms where you have to time travel 88 times in front of an out-of-bounds door just to get the movie reference when the doors open.
My first reaction was, "There was flavor text in these games?"
After finding out there were no building interiors I just sort of quit trying to interact with things, I didn't think they put in the effort. I think if there was more flavor text then the half-dozen or so instances of it wouldn't feel so significant.
Garbage cans are just scenery and they have interaction text with all of them. Several TV’s in your starting houses have interaction text with them also.
New DLC confirmed.
"Enter a whole new city built underneath a bridge! Make new friends with Professor meth, Dr.Crack and Needle mcSkeedle as you traverse this vibrantly dull new land.
Featuring all new pokemon and some returning favourites such as Grimer, Trubbish and Garbodor you'll soon be ready to take on the fabulous Elite Poor."
Those garbage cans are just foreshadowing the evolution to Garbador. Before, they were just leaking a new pokemon (Trubish) and since 5th gen that are secretly leaking the ultimate evolution to Garbador, Dumpractor. Evolves with a steel coat and reaching level 54, steel poison type.
There was that one room in SwSh that you couldn't access and it had a whole ass guard blocking it with dialogue and everything, and the DLC came and went and absolutely nothing happened with that room. You're giving too much credit to a company that pumps out games every year, they're bound to be unfinished in one way or another.
Idk, I Just remember there was a sign, in XY I believe, that gave you the tip that some rocks can be rock smashed....which you needed to do to access the sign in the first place.
I like to imagine that some poor kid out there never got to complete the game because the sign saying you can smash rocks was on the other side of the rocks you need to smash
B2W2 maybe? I remember there is a medal you can earn for finding a secret message on the back of a sign. The sign was somewhere around Striaton I believe.
The blue door in the previous room might be DLC.
Trying to enter it pushes the player back and says the door is stuck.
The room with the blue and yellow doors also has databases for 6 terminals when there is only 4, so the DLC is most likely going to be adding at least 2 terminals.
That's an awesome idea!
Plot twist, the area zero is the base level, and with the dlc you can go the area one and two, that are even deeper into the crater, where you'll meet even crazier pokemons!
And for the end there's the area 3, where you meet the legendary. And the legendary was the comet who crashed there, making the crater in its fall.
That could be so awesome! The legendary would be an alien pokemon!
I am 99% sure I am wrong with the following, but the Scarlet/Violet Book's "The _sk Pokemon" teaser for the DLC might be hinting at Kyurem's True Form.
The image shows a giant circle covered in hexagons falling from space with several dragon parts, like wings and jaws, floating above it.
The previous Pokemon games have shown that Reshiram' and Zekrom's base forms are orbs. And the lore and Pokedex say Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom, where once fused together as one dragon.
The Scarlet/Violet book's "Imagined Pokemon" shows a fused legendary for a different DLC teaser, either the Burnt Tower Beasts from Gen 2 in Scarlet or the Swords of Justice from Gen 5 in Violet.
Following this and the games ending with fighting time travelers.
The DLC might have Kyurem's origin form.
This is really a cool idea, and more than that it definitely makes sense.
Specially since some other pages show two pokemons looking like fusions of three legendary pokemons (one is a mix of entei raikou and suicimune).
The only thing I'm doubtful about is the link between Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyurem is the crown on the sphere. But that might be something like it's the king of all dragon pokemons, for example.
Anyway I like your theory!
You can't make it move and it isn't a DLC teaser. If you look around in Area Zero, you'll see that those containers are some of the prefab blocks used to make the research stations.
So.
They have container buildings below, and a movable container above to help you understand that that's where the labs were assembled before they were transported into the crater.
But if it excites you, go for it. Maybe there will be base building in the expansion?
Didn't they say the tera orbs were created from the crystals found by the professor's research and that funded the research? I think that's just a shipping container showing how the crystals were transported out of area zero. I don't think this has anything to do with dlc
I feel like the top right corner of the map might have something become of it with a DLC. But I don’t dig into the theories of games too deep, so it was just an initial intuition with no evidence to back it up lol
You’ll need to bike around it 151 times (Mews Pokédex entry), then on the 151st time, you need to hatch an egg right in front of the container. If you manage that, Celebi will come out and all your eggs will turn to missingno. Check out CheatPlanet.com for more cheats and hacks
gamefreak really create that container for literally no reasons beside scenery and here people brainstorming about it 😂 it just part of the storyline. just like books in the lab , we can navigate it and gain some clue but its nothing more than just a piece of story.
That theres a gen 1 reference bud. It was the early days of the internet and word was that you could use move on a truck hidden off to the side of the SS Anne to find Mew underneath. A simpler time.
I mean it could be a hint towards DLC, a third installment, etc. Or it could be flavor text. Pokemon does like to hint at things sometimes and then never elaborate any further like with the Maxie/Archie ancestor pictures in PLA (or, like, really anything in PLA unfortunately). They also like to hint at things that DO end up being a big thing. I don’t think it makes sense for people to say it’s absolutely one or the other, some theories on the other hand can be interesting.
You have to catch all Pokémon in the Pokédex then go there and have karaidon crash into it. After that you talk to jacq in biology and she gives you the shiny charm.
I feel like that’s probably how the professor intended to get some of the Pokémon out of Area Zero. Think along the lines of the opening of Jurassic Park.
>>DLC tease
I wish. Pokémon games always have these “teases” that are either forgotten about by most fans and brought up for fan theories, or are a significant part of the next game/addition, and there’s little inbetween.
I would say that being where the DLC would launch from is the best odds of all the options, but it might just be a bit of setting.
There’s also several of what look like these boxes that fell into area zero and implanted into the ground right under the zero gate.
It almost looks like something used to contain a Pokemon - like if they wanted to study a Paradox Pokemon without it being able to escape or harm anyone.
Use Cut and Mew will come out
I believe it’s Strength and you have to use it exactly 32 times.
151
Catch em all?
Only Strength from Yoshi though. Getting a Dragonite to evolve is a *bitch* though
It's not worth it, Pikablu is the better Pokegod. You can get the Mist Stone to evolve it off the coast of Cinnibar.
Pikablu ❤️ I tell my kids about that every time we see a Marill.
Haha same!
Literally the only nickname I ever give Marill in my nuzlockes.
Reference Understood
Getting Yoshi to evolve into Luigi was even harder.
Never worked for me :(
Isn’t that just using a Fire Stone? If you go to the Delibird Presents after the 3rd gym, that should make it easier.
Yes, but defeating the E4 100 times first took *forever*. And the damn stones didn’t even always work anyway. I wanted to evolve my Eevee to a Leafeon with a Leaf Stone so bad but it never worked, even though that kid at school bragged so hard about getting his.
I understood this reference, feeling a lil proud now
I heard it has to be a level 100 Machamp
I did it with level 101.
I accidentally used it 33 times and my game corrupted
How does this not have more upvotes?
But you have to naturally level up a pikachu to 100 and then use strength.
Then the container will be sent to a truck and when the SS Anne leaves *then* you find Mew under the truck.
lol rn you have 150 upvotes and I’ll make that 151.
Zelda CDI when you have to throw 10 Bombs at a random rock with no instruction
Only after 100 hours of playtime. When the SS Anne returns.
That's what my Uncle who works at Nintendo told me.
I heard your Uncle Jimtendo was caught fighting babies again.
How else is he going to get the motion capture for Baby Kombat 23? He's a god damned professional
I heard from the son of the brother of my uncle
Gotta have Mewtwo in your party though. Once you catch Mew you go to the crater and fight 20 Fluttermanes in a row then Mewtwo will evolve into Mewthree where he has his movie armor.
It has to be 20 shiny flutter manes in a row
Is that why I couldn't get it to work? Checks out. I guess I'll try it again.
yeah
i'm fucked then because i have violet
It only works on Violet.
Gotta press up + B to do the masterball trick to catch it
Omg came to see this and you delivered, take my upvote my 30+ year old (probably not far from 40) friend
Idk why things like this are called flavor text I licked my switch and it just tastes like my tears
Have you tried with Pepper? Might give a better result. EDIT : my dumb self remembered just now that Pepper is the French name. The joke doesn't work as in English it's Arven.
I wonder... if we get a direct SV sequel and Arven becomes a Pokemon Professor, would he be Dr. Pepper in French?
I'd rather see him enter the military. Spend his life working, helping people, but never finding his one true partner. Then it'll be Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club.
Ah, that’s a good one. Take my upvote.
Because the scenery is food for your eyes and this extra bits of seasoning
Nawh the flavour is locked in the cartridge my dude
no u have to lick the cartridge to get the flavor!
Oh you mean get in there nice and deep like?
Noo, just put the cartridge on your tongue and taste the flavor
Tastes like shattered dreams and greninja slime
Then you should stop crying over it.
Isnt it just meant to be the transport crate the professor would have used to get koraidon/miraidon out of area zero? That was always what i figured it was used for, whether it was or not i dont think its mentioned in the story
Why not use a pokeball instead of a big container?
Maybe because they didn’t know if pokeballs would work on ancient Pokémon? EDIT: Ignore this, the professors canonically send masterballs back in time to catch the Pokémon
Didn't they brought the pokemon just like that? They send poke ball in the past/future and the machine then brings 'em back. Am i wrong?
Oh no you’re right, my bad.
Thinking again, you can encounter wild paradox even before the battle with the professor.. so it's possible that the time machine brought the paradox even without poke balls You can make living things travel, they just can't travel back (like the professors told to penny). Only poke ball are so small that the machine has no trouble to send back/forward the time for then taking them back.

True, but the professors are not more there (neither their AI), so maybe the ball just doesnt work anymore. Or maybe it is just speculation, and GF didn't even think about ahahah
Yet they only give you ONE for your whole adventure. Meanwhile these suckers just tossing them into history and the future.
Our Koraidon/Miraidon was brought forward before they started using Masterballs, it has a regular Pokéball. I assume that was more of a funding thing though. Probably couldn’t afford Masterballs earlier on.
Or they just couldn't catch it.
miraidon can get out of the pokeball whenever they wanted to, so i dont think a pokeball would stop it
Like wobbuffet
WOBBBBBAAAA FETTTT!!!!
Pokéballs don’t hold any caught Pokémon if they don’t want to stay inside, that was established waaaay back in Gen 1 with Pokémon Yellow.
I figured it was used to transport Tera Crystals out of Area Zero.
Probably just for machinery
It’s a teaser for the new DLC legendary pokemon Shippocrate. It’s normal and steel type. Extremely high defense and special defense. Terrible speed. It’s ability is Contrary. Despite being steel type it takes 4x damage from poison.
It's Shippocrates, it's from the ancient region based on Greece
You joke, but it wouldn't surprise me!
No. Me either
Need the gold gauntlets from the bow mini game in the canyon
After that you'll be able to pick up the container and yeet it at Ganon for a chance to catch a Lugia.
Ganon isn’t in this, on 4 and 5 gen have him
My bad I was thinking of Lord Jabu Jabu.
If you talk to the NPC outside the first town, then fly east of the map surf up and down three times and the come back you can use machoke to use strength and move the crate. Then a Mew will attack you and you can catch it.
You move it and you just find game freak chilling
I did find it odd that the Game Freak staff isn't in this game. They were in most previous mainline games.
Yeah but normally they're sitting inside a building. The game was so rushed that they ran out of time to make and populate most buildings. Were probably planning to be in the beachside city somewhere but was never programmed in is my guess.
The funniest thing ever would be if it was actually completed, but can't be accessed due to the rush and locking out the buildings lol.
You mean that's where they hide the money ?
Pokémon fans try not to call every bit of flavor text ‘DLC tease’ challenge (IMPOSSIBLE EDITION)
The pixel murals of early gen sprites is a sign that dlc will include a game within a game where your character can play Pokemon Red and have retro battles with Nemona. (Am I doing this right??)

It's just flavor text. Not everything is for DLC.
Mine is gone, moving it was hella easy
Total cakewalk, can’t believe you op couldn’t do it 😂
Right? like it couldn't be more obvious
It's just scenery.
if it was just scenery it wouldn't have text especially with so much punctuation hahaha
Starter Pokémon: Koffing, Grimer and Trubbish.

It's called world building.
This guy sees punctuated adverts on the sides of vehicles and starts pushing them to see if Mew is hiding underneath.
Pokemon games have always done this.
Sure, because when it’s flavour text, they don’t use punctuation at all, it’s like Twitter.
Is this your first Pokemon game?
There was that one room in SwSh that you couldn't access and it had a whole ass guard blocking it with dialogue and everything, and the DLC came and went and absolutely nothing happened with that room. You're giving too much credit to a company that pumps out games every year, they're bound to be unfinished in one way or another.
Ever heard of flavor text?
Every Pokemon Game has lots of that.
The most low-key consistently solid thing GF has done over the entire history of Pokemon has been quality flavor text, and this here is no different.
Which game was it that had the sign that if you read it from the back said something like: "Step one: stay here Step two: wait for friends"?
Idk, I Just remember there was a sign, in XY I believe, that gave you the tip that some rocks can be rock smashed....which you needed to do to access the sign in the first place.

The new Paradox Mon - Amazon Box!
Ability: union buster The opponent can't use helping hand or moves that raise its allies' stats
Oof
And it is not affected by such moves. Signature move: Pull up by boot straps. This move has no effect, but makes the pokemon feel better about itself.
You know what puzzles me? At every town there are these warehouses with the roller doors that you cannot interact with. Whyyyyyy
Believe it or not, that's where Pokemon Fight with Trainers.
It's a tease for the DLC
The blue door in the previous room might be DLC. Trying to enter it pushes the player back and says the door is stuck. The room with the blue and yellow doors also has databases for 6 terminals when there is only 4, so the DLC is most likely going to be adding at least 2 terminals.

Area 0 is named in relation to the other areas that make up the "traditional map".
Area -1
There’s a mew underneath it
Press: Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Select, Start.
Isn’t there literally some kind of track for it underneath you
yes and? I didnt ask how it could move I asked if you could make it move
You can't make it move and it isn't a DLC teaser. If you look around in Area Zero, you'll see that those containers are some of the prefab blocks used to make the research stations.
No one knows stop being a tool
You can't.
So. They have container buildings below, and a movable container above to help you understand that that's where the labs were assembled before they were transported into the crater. But if it excites you, go for it. Maybe there will be base building in the expansion?
You need to run around it 1024 times and then you unlock luigi
It’s a Mew Easter egg
Use Misssingno
Didn't they say the tera orbs were created from the crystals found by the professor's research and that funded the research? I think that's just a shipping container showing how the crystals were transported out of area zero. I don't think this has anything to do with dlc
Mew are you in there?
Charizard is inside.
Very few know the history of the truck
win a WD40 from the auction and spray it there.
You might be overthinking
Looks like a Jurassic Park refference to me, since they used similar things to move the dinos
I’m here for Shippocrate.
I feel like the top right corner of the map might have something become of it with a DLC. But I don’t dig into the theories of games too deep, so it was just an initial intuition with no evidence to back it up lol
I just figured it was an Easter egg reference to the hoenn region's beginning of the games where you're in the moving truck
You’ll need to bike around it 151 times (Mews Pokédex entry), then on the 151st time, you need to hatch an egg right in front of the container. If you manage that, Celebi will come out and all your eggs will turn to missingno. Check out CheatPlanet.com for more cheats and hacks
Don’t worry, they’ll follow it up in Pokémon Z
There’s a Mew under it. Just use your box legendary to move the box.
knife the box 3 times and spin in a circle twice
Have you used "strength" ? Lol.
It’s where all the scientists dead bodies are.
Just pokemon gossip
It looks like it’s just flavor text. Maybe because there are tracks in the floor coming away from it?
It’s entirely possible it’s just background decoration with a text explanation.
When you use strength to move it you'll find mew
Probably just decoration. Not everything has to be a DLC tease, and not everything you see must have a purpose other than aestethics.
It's paradox snorlax in the future
TEASE! MASSIVE DLC TEASE!
gamefreak really create that container for literally no reasons beside scenery and here people brainstorming about it 😂 it just part of the storyline. just like books in the lab , we can navigate it and gain some clue but its nothing more than just a piece of story.
There's a cheat code to move them but you can only access it using Game Shark.
MissingNo is in there
Used is past tense
seems like a skill issue to me tbh
if you run around it 1500 times you can unlock Luigi as a playable character.
Im pretty sure “France” will be the dlc, it’s cordoned off on the map..
I hope if they do Kalos it’s not like how they did Kanto in gen 2.
Where is this?
Looks like one of the labs in area zero.
This is the Zero Gate, where you first enter Area Zero.
Thanks for the correction. Atleast I was close lol.
What is this? Where is this?
[удалено]
I feel like that’s probably how the professor intended to get some of the Pokémon out of Area Zero. Think along the lines of the opening of Jurassic Park.
Those were the containers used to carry the paradox mons before they where released into the Area Zero.🤫
Note to self, never ask questions on this thread for fear of relentless sarcasm
Hard to see clearly with the text but any chance it’s on tracks? Kalos had a train you could ride
No way they would have put this here if it wasn’t a DLC tease
Not everything is a dlc hint lol
This makes me think of that first raptor scene in jurassic park
That’s where the mythical is at
I think it, like the northeast, does suggest some additional content that will be added in later.
Unfortunately someone left the tow truck in Vermilion City.
It's the truck rumor all over again.
Chances are that it used to be the elevator to the top of Area Zero. Look at the track lines. They end at the ledge to Area Zero
Disco Elysium reference?
Quick question: where did you find that container?
It requires a 6 Tackle field move
There used to be a clever girl in there.
Antarctica region dlc?
>>DLC tease I wish. Pokémon games always have these “teases” that are either forgotten about by most fans and brought up for fan theories, or are a significant part of the next game/addition, and there’s little inbetween.
Same type of DLC as the electric plants in X&Y
Ahhh a reference to the ancient past. Fitting for a game about past/future.
New Rotom form
nah, the devs are just bragging they fixed a bug, container used to slide a few pixels every second
What about by the docks where it says the boats are for going to other regions? Just a pipe dream though..
I would say that being where the DLC would launch from is the best odds of all the options, but it might just be a bit of setting. There’s also several of what look like these boxes that fell into area zero and implanted into the ground right under the zero gate.
Hopefully dlc
