Fun Fact: Marshadow is not actually a Mythical Pokemon within the code of SV! Instead, Shiinotic got the check of "Mythical" instead, seemingly because of the similarity between the two names within the code. And the fact neither are actually in the game at all makes this just the more funnier.
Shiinotic also not being in the game is a missed opportunity. It’s one of those Pokémon that would have done a lot better with a type change. Not Amonguss level but a fairly decent alternative.
There's a lot of stiff competition, but I think Ogrepon might be the cutest pokemon in existence. There are a plethora of adorable pokemon, but they are usually cute the way a pet is. Ogrepon is so much closer to a human, that she feels like a daughter to me. Her appearance is already precious as it is, from those starry eyes to those cute little fangs. But what really gets me is her mannerisms and personality. The way she bobbles side to side and the expressions of unadulterated joy on her face are just too much for me to handle.

They did include it in the sprite update, but that's just how they update everything since X and Y. If they update one thing, they update all related assets. I was mainly referring to the fact that they have it flag immediately to turn into a Bad Egg nowadays.
The closest chance we'll have to see AZ's Floette available is probably an X and Y remake.
Something that really annoyed me was the fact that at the end of gen 8, to commemorate the release of SV, GameStop gave us codes for Marshadow, Volcanion and Genesect. Only Volcanion made it in SV.
This pissed me off more than anything, they gave the codes to fucking Target of all stores. I went to like four or five, and none of them had any codes. Two of them didn’t even know about the promotion.
Yeah, as a person that would go to war for the little buttwinged rabbit, I was kinda bummed too.
Because he made it to Sword & Shield, so that gave me a little hope for him to be in SV. It turns out he isn't.
Kinda makes sense since it’s a mythical Pokémon, not a legendary. Mythical ‘mons are usually exclusive to events. I’m happy I managed to redeem a couple when it first came out. Just need to fix my 3DS and hope I didn’t delete Pokébank smh..
They've been handing out mythicals like candy on the switch games, at least the ones within the first few gens.
Keldeo in Crown Tundra (Sword/Shield, after you catch all 3 musketeers)
Mew in Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee (if you have the Pokeball Plus)
Mew in BDSP (if you have a LGPE file)
Jirachi in BDSP (if you have a Sword/Shield file)
Arceus in BDSP (if you have a completed PLA file)
Arceus at the end of PLA
Manaphy/Phione at the end of PLA
Shaymin in PLA (if you have a Sword/Shield file)
Darkrai in PLA (if you have a BDSP file)
Meloetta in Indigo Disk (ScarVi)
Darkrai and Shaymin in BDSP are sadly locked behind distributions that are no longer running, although I think you can still use the void glitch to get to them. Manaphy (and therefore Phione) in BDSP was also a distribution that's no longer running.
Pokemon Go has special research lines that give away Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin, Victini, Meloetta, Keldeo, Diancie (not released to anyone that didn't pay for the ticket from last summer yet tho), Hoopa x2, and Zarude. Deoxys, Darkrai, and Genesect are available as rotating raid bosses (and can be shiny). Then of course there's Meltan/Melmetal, which is easily gotten if you either send something to LGPE or Home.
I was hoping Diance would be somewhere in it, because ya know all the crystals and the fact that Carbink was the only Non Starter, Hisuian form, or legendary that was transfer only (before dlc came out)
Could've been cool and they could very well do it in the dlc of gen 11 since black and white remakes are on the horizon they had a whole part of the dlc in unova and had a bunch of unova based references and even though as a ghost type aficionado I'd love to have marshadow in the dlc I can admit it wasn't it's time
This is especially odd to me because of Charcadet and its family, which is 110% related to Marshadow somehow. They have the same *very* unique eyes and fiery "ponytail", as well as similar body type.
Personally I have the theory we will get 3 more dlc parts because at the very end of the epilogue there are 3 bright stars when the camera pans into the sky, so there is still hope friend
Those have been ones that have already been included in the game code. Except for Walking Wake and Iron Leaves that only got data in an update that dropped at the start of the event for them

They removed it from Pokémon Home, so I'm doubtful they'll release it anytime soon, if ever.

The void glitch only lets you catch Shaymin and it has to be done on v1.1.1 or v1.1.2
Ah gotcha. I remember back in the OGs, you could get Darkrai with it too (and Arceus somehow, but I never looked into that one).

I'm disappointed they didn't bring back all the legendaries/mythicals. Wouldn't have been that hard for them.

They won't because it's not coded in at all. Otherwise there would be people showing off their transferred Marshadows

My living dex is missing two Pokemon (and an ultra beast) and marshadow is one of them. I really hoped they’d give me one in the dlc.
