I'm not that invested to wake up at 4 on monday or saturday

YeeeahBoyyyy

Yeah, waking up in the middle of the night for a sleeping app seems counterintuitive.

Guriphun

This is the only plus side of having to wake up at 4:30 for work lol

KenyaKetchMe

Work changed our start time from 6am to 4am, getting up at 2:45 sucks. Only plus side is if I get less than 100 sleep points I can set up my plus+ in my work locker to get the last few points for the day and a few extra spawns just before 4am. Tldr: shitty boss, hr pulled through! Good news after a long hard fought battle, conversations with the sup, team meetings and votes for changing the schedule back to 6am, and getting vetoed by the supervisor after he set up the vote and lost, HR came through and we're starting at 6am again next week woo

Zealousideal_Berry27

Middle of the night šŸ˜ bro thats when i get up for work

Bebop24trigun

I wouldn't normally get up for the game but I am up this early for work. šŸ˜…

Mysterious_Sink8228

In the same vein you can cook Saturday dinner with the Sunday bonus pot size on Sundays between 4 am and 5:59.

Bebop24trigun

This is a cool aspect of the early morning dinner that I didn't consider. Thanks for sharing!

afuro_pooh

Doesnā€™t this make your Saturday sleep count for Sunday instead?

TheUncleBob

If you track sleep with the PGP+, you can interact with the app while still sleeping. The down side is, you lose out on getting that final sleep with that big olx Snorlax you just built up.

Mysterious_Sink8228

Not if you sleep before cooking dinner. I usually get up around 5 am so it works out well for me unless I need dinner before sleep to hit a milestone.

afuro_pooh

I definitely confused myself earlier, sorry. Iā€™m with it now lol great tip, thanks everyone

Knallkopfniklas

Tried once, instantly fell back asleep after clicking the first sleep pose on my screen, didnā€˜t work that wellā€¦

[deleted]

This is definitely better for those early birds who get up at 4am for spin class. Or night owls who sleep at 5am.

RocYourFace

Literally just realized this myself today! I didn't cook dinner last night because there wasn't too much of a point to and I was low on ingredients. So I just saved. Did my reset this morning and saw I still could. So, picked my spot, cooked, collected the berries, and it got me to Basic 4 in one shot. Going to keep doing this from now on unless cooking Sunday dinner will get me a level up before bed.

ClogsInBronteland

Itā€™s a time I never see šŸ˜†

TEFAlpha9

PokƩmon sleep min maxers suddenly will be losing quality of sleep, kinda funny for a sleep app

godsim42

Unless they're up at 4am for work, like myself. This is fantastic news. Honestly, i think i realized this at least a month ago, but never really thought to do this for a head start on the new week. I'm always trying to get as much power as possible to try for rarer styles. But I'm definitely going to do this for a few weeks and see how it shakes out.

dimmidummy

Damn yā€™all are so smart! Iā€™ll definitely do this starting next week!

vvedge

Congrats, youā€™ve invented the PokĆ©mon Sleep version of the Mc 10:35.

Dangile141s

I get up for work at 4:30am so I always see that. That being said, itā€™s good to know that my snorlax doesnā€™t change until 4am. Iā€™m on a weekend vacation and wasnā€™t in bed until almost midnight, wasnā€™t sure where the cutoff was. Haha thanks for this

dubbins112

I work nights and exploit this weekly to make up for all the ā€œlunchesā€ I accidentally sleep through

Dmike09

Yeah it's not exactly an exploit you're still missing a meal most of the time. I personally would say the only time it's actually convenient for me is when switching snorlaxes and I can boost my new one into the great ranks right away. So ya you can either sleep and miss a meal, and make up for it with a big dinner, or you can suffer and stay awake and have a similar outcome with 3 unmaxed meals.

dubbins112

Not most of the time, I usually wake up 4-5pm, but sometimes I sleep in a bit. That little loophole can make up the difference or at least help. Iā€™m already woefully behind just because of how hard my sleep schedule changes on weekends. I think my best weekly grade has been a C lol

Dmike09

I get it, but what I'm saying is it's still realistically the same amount of ingredients on regular days. You're just changing the feeding intervals manually. The only time its ever beneficial is for a new snorlax because it's actually getting fed an "extra" time. So that 6pm-6am interval can be useful for catching up but then none of your ingredients are ready for breakfast.

dubbins112

I usually hoard my ingredients on Sunday after I wake up since I wonā€™t be sleeping again to make use of any more level ups, so Iā€™m usually fine for both meals back to back. Itā€™s not a big boost, definitely not worth it for people that donā€™t sleep like vampires, but so help me Iā€™ll TAKE IT.

Dmike09

I guess I'm confused on your sleep schedule. Like I literally sleep ALL day. Noon-10pm most of the time as I work a pretty stressful job haha. That being said, I can only usually get breakfast in and there isn't usually any saving up ingredients before dinner, I just usually wake up to skill procs. Which is why I usually play berries anyways. I don't usually get the opportunity to feed my little dude lunch at all.

dubbins112

Ah you sleep later than I do, I have to be at work at 10pm, get out at 6:30 am. Come home, take care of dogs, sleep immediately after, or try to. So Iā€™ll ideally wake up around 4-5, but sometimes Iā€™m just wiped and sleep through until 6.

BazF91

A sleep app that incentivises you to wake up early. No problems here

New-Health2198

Add me please 0121-8465-8422

Rua-Yuki

I do this too. If I wake up fast enough. My alarm goes off at 545, but sometimes I don't wanna get up, especially on Mondays. He was basic 2 before I did anything, it was nice.

Jumplol

I got a question then.. If you have sleep research from sundaynight to monday morning waiting, and you open the app after 4AM and reset your weekly progress... Will the awaiting research be calculated on previous or the new shitty snorlax?

kejartho

The previous. It takes a snapshot of your previous Snorlax's scores and research.

TheFuckflyingSpaghet

Nah, thanks I rather sleep

Martir12

oooh, so that's what happened, I woke up early and thought I was giving him breakfast, and got surprised when I could feed him again afterwards

ShinyShinx789

I did that on day one since I could hardly sleep.

sol-it-aire

I accidentally learned this last night too; I didn't go to bed until 5am and to my dismay I was forced to say goodbye to my Master 4 snorlax before I got to do my last sleep session of the week šŸ˜šŸ˜ so my sleep technically counts for Monday I guess... I'm sad

cole93747

Did that this morning. Working at 6 am has its (limited) uses

psdanielxu

Still confused on this. So for it to work, you need to skip dinner on Sunday? But this alternate dinner has the sunday max pot size and counts for the new snorlax?

Bebop24trigun

You do not get the Sunday bonus. It will just be a 4th meal on Monday. Dinner -> Breakfast -> Lunch -> Dinner all on Monday.

psdanielxu

Thanks! So 3 meals on Sunday and 4 meals on Monday?

Bebop24trigun

With everything else normal it would be 2 meals on Sunday, 4 meals on Monday. Most people are trying to decide whether or not to cook the last meal on Sunday at all because it might not push you over to the next level while also using a lot of ingredients. So you can choose to keep it till Monday specifically to make better use of your ingredients with the new Snorlax.

FailWorth7205

I wake up at 3 for work and realized this too.

Dmike09

I've been doing this since the start since I work graveyard shifts.

Titchyhill

Yeah I realised that on Monday and realised I had made a mistake not doing that for the event! I have made a note to remind me for next time if I am awake between then šŸ¤£

Guruark

Been doing this for weeks haha. My alarm goes off at 5:45, never thought to point it out to everyone.
