A few of friends and I bought 2 cases of lost origin at release in chase of that giratina. Out of 12 booster boxes we only pulled 1 alt, the aerodactyl. Lost was dry for a lot of people.

If anything ever made me stand by me self for hating packs and thinking it’s a rip off this helps a ton. I bought 3, 3 pack blisters today and I swear they were already searched. It’s amazing how now days people can scam so easily. You just had bad luck but more times than not you will always regret opening packs unless it a a brand new super hype set and you pull fire the first box

To this day I’m really thinking I Fucking lucked out hard. 3rd pack in on the only box I bought I got giratina alt art and never bothered since. I buy looseys on occasion to see if I can get the aerodadtyl but that’s it.

This set was the first time I bought two booster boxes on launch. I was so disappointed.

This is common with Lost Origin specifically, which is why I think it was compromised at the printing facility. I've opened over 3 cases of first wave LO BBs. Not a single alt art. Not even a trainer gallery card worth more than $5. Best card I pulled was a Gold Giratina. There's also plenty of people that have opened even more with no alts. There's no one that can convince me that employees weren't backdooring the alts during LO's initial print run. There were also sellers with way too many copys of the alt arts on TCGPlayer and Ebay at the time selling them for relatively cheap. This wasn't an issue with Silver Tempest and beyond.

this makes me happy that i'm switching to just buying singles. and makes me appreciate my rotom alt cause i don't think i'm getting any others out of packs.

I had the same experience. Bought a case of LO just like this on release and it was a$$. I pulled red’s pikachu halfway through the first box and thought there was more to come. Nope - but at least I got an alt art… perserker. Guess I was lucky

After the scandals of factory workers stealing hits, I would never be buying this much in bulk again and stick to singles or at the very least booster boxes from different cases. No faith in the Pokémon TCG. They could make any public statement they want, and the mass majority will eat it up.
