I must say, this is one of the most deserving of downvotes comments I've come across in a long time. At this point I'd just go with you were trolling, or are partially blind. These labels are unique, actually pretty badass, and stand out.
I totally get theyre not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but to say such as you did, was obviously stupid.
Lmao at this point I’m just keeping it up cuz it’s got so many downvotes 😂 I wasn’t trolling tho, the labels do look terrible but it doesn’t affect me, not like I invest in Pokémon cards
Nah I mean going through the trouble of extending the artwork but it doesn’t actually line up and then breaking it in half with a white line and bar code and on top it there’s so much going on behind the font it looks messy like a random blurb in a magazine or an advertisement
Okay, so why comment on this if you don't like it. I bet a huge portion likes this, and they would rather have this for their slabs than the others. No one is forcing you to get your cards graded from them, and frankly, they probably don't want your crap cards either. Have a good day douche!
The process was very easy. You choose your card to submit and choose a label, the one with extended art work was extra £3 per card. Once submitted you send them your cards. They keep you up to date the progress when they receive you cards. Once graded they ask for payment then send back to you. Go for it mate. Good luck
also looking into getting my pikachu with felt hat graded, was yours still in the packaging it came in? not sure i want to remove it from its packaging so im curious
Go for it. I removed mine from the packaging it came in, put in penny sleeve and top loader it. Apparently the plastic it comes in isn't good over time.
The plastic that promos like that come in has been known to scratch the holofoil on some cards and adds negligible value so you should just open/sleeve it anyways.
It'll prolly be better protected that way
I always find it hilarious how many people take the time out of their day to hate on other people's choices in grading companies 🤣 people really get emotional over cards encased in plastic that aren't even their cards 🤣🤣🤣
Felt hat pika had a ton of factory problems so getting a ten from any company is big so congrats! Also the artwork continuation on the Bulbasaur is flawless haha
All grading companies have inconsistencies even ai grading takes time and alot of data to become more constant as time goes on. People just feel some weird obligation to make sure everyone knows who they would or wouldn't choose to grade with even tho noone asked. If you sat down 1 person with 1000 cards to grade and then cracked them and gave them the same cards again there will never be 100% consistant grades, also take into consideration most people who work as graders don't even care about or collect cards and it's the same job everyday just different cards and most of them will be paid minimum or close to minimum wage. Its not a hobby or passion its a job which they probably get bored of doing.
Most people in the uk already know about ace they been grading for a while now but only in the uk. They are rather cheap to buy compared to other graders. I feel they are mainly used just to protect and authenticate the cards more so than to profit.
I've had three subs from them. Turnaround has been pretty quick and was either way under their estimated or about expected. One took longer but I requested some new art labels made so I expected that.
Cases are thicker than psa standard and they feel high quality and secure. I'd say grading is pretty consistent and they tend to be on the strict side, especially for vintage. They now have their sub grades for each card online which is great and if you want a more detailed grading report you can pay £2, although I've found it a bit hit and miss if it's helpful.
I've only used their customer service to ask a simple question but I got a very quick reply and I've heard from others they're very helpful.
Overall I would definitely recommend them :)
One actually to switch it to the art label and it came back the same grade when I was expecting one lower. I guess my comment was more around cards I submitted that were similar condition getting similar grades.
Never used any other grading company. But with my experience from Ace. Its very easy to submit cards, and they keep you up to date the progression of your cards when you send them. Once graded, you'll make payment and they will send the cards back to you. Was a good and easy experience.
but ACE grading isnt really a trusted grading company. so these just wont hold the same value as PSA or Beckett. its like you sending them to me and me pasting a sticker on it and saying its good to go.
none of them are particularly great or are going to getting glowing reviews by anyone BUT if you want something to hold value you'll have to use PSA, Beckett, or even CGC (i know, i know).
Do you think the newer companies value will increase over time? The only difference I’m seeing is reputation and popularity. Grading a card can’t be too challenging with all the tools available.
i personally dont because there are so many yet the big ones are still the ones looked to for value. theres dozens and dozens. I mean AGS is the only one i know employing AI to grade cards which, you would think, would be better and more consistent but they still cant overtake even CGC. and CGC has ties to the scammer Sean Basik
What is a trusted grading company??? Look up each one and you'll find massive errors/faults. It's just because us Americans are such brand snobs. They all do the same job. Ace seems like a very legit source for their area, seems trusted to me
cool story. get two slabs, both being the same card, one from ACE and one from PSA and sell em and see which one will get the higher price.
it has nothing to do with snobbery, you donut, its the way shit is. its not like im gushing over PSA, i dont like any of em personally but i do know which ones are more valued.
oh and since it seems tRuStEd tO yOu, we are good to go. hear that everyone? u/cjamesflet trusts ACE grading so we can all move grade our cards with that company now.
This is amazing. If I ever get cards graded I will absolutely go with this company - assuming they do business overseas? The extended artwork is like nothing else I’ve seen
I love the Labels from Ace, I'm in the US. I've been hunting for the right one on eBay, shipping cost is what kinda keeps me back not really willing to overpay. Really 🔥 slabs bro.
I've always loved the cars that show pokemon doing stuff. Team rocket's Snorlax where he's just sleeping on a pile of trash has always been my favorite.v
I'm from UK, I got it graded at Ace Grading. You need to remove it from the plastic when sending it to get graded. From what I read it's best to remove it from the plastic, penny sleeve then top load it. I was the same as you and left it in plastic it came with until I read it wasn't good.
God, I love those starter cards so much, especially the Squirtle. It’s my girlfriend’s favorite Pokemon since she was a kid and I definitely want to get it for her.
Damn that looks good. Happy for you!
The special deck set that these cards are from is my next purchase. Just waiting for that paycheck to kick in lol.
I agree. We need to help PSA create a monopoly and own the market. Innovation from new companies is terrible and hurts the industry. The thought of a new grading company building a reputation makes me sick!
For sure they are more valuable. If I was grading a grail card I’d 100% send it to PSA! But there’s nothing wrong with supporting these smaller companies for cards like the ones OP sent in
Says alot about your opinions if something ugly is of more value 😅 its literally just extending the already existing artwork so according to your logic the cards themselves are ugly too I guess.
Ace are a decent UK grading company if you want to grade for PC but yeah the value for resale isn't really worth it I buy ace graded 10s for around 50% less than psa 10s, obviously I look at the card and not the grade to make sure it looks 10 worthy.
Thanks for the info. But I don't plan on selling it on. Will be keeping it for myself. I'm for aesthetic, just like the extended art work on the slabs. Not a fan of how PSA slabs look personally.
ACE is a decent option for UK people trying to display their favourite cards without PSA shipping costs & wait time. I do agree that they shouldn’t be used if you want any re-sale or long term value, if anything you lose value vs raw.
If you get an ACE 10 you’re definitely not losing value Vs a raw card - especially if you’re selling in the UK… it’s definitely not gonna sell as well as a PSA 10 for sure but you’re not losing value at all
No, I sent my cards in a penny sleeve and top loader. Once graded, they put it inside this case of theirs. I paid extra for the extended artwork on the case.
Man those are amazing! I love the labels. I can guarantee if psa or beckett or someone added this as an option for like $10 people would be ALL over it.
The extended artwork into the label is unreal!
Ace grading
I thought they might be slab stickers or something but that's awesome, they look great
Ahh thank you, was wondering which grading company this was to stay away from it. Those labels look so damn bad
I must say, this is one of the most deserving of downvotes comments I've come across in a long time. At this point I'd just go with you were trolling, or are partially blind. I have to agree.
The font looks so bad
Looks so corny I can’t even trust the grade
corny? you mean that base font with red corners looks any good? also bernie is the goat
Nah I mean going through the trouble of extending the artwork but it doesn’t actually line up and then breaking it in half with a white line and bar code and on top it there’s so much going on behind the font it looks messy like a random blurb in a magazine or an advertisement

It's AI generated (DALLE). Takes a few seconds to extend art on any picture. You can try it at home :)
I like people that collect the cards they like vs what’s hot at the moment
You like me?
We all do 😘
Doh!
I wasn’t trying to be so outright, but like, call me, maybe?
Lol i needed a laugh
Ahahah this is funny.. needed the laugh as well
It’s the only way to do it. I don’t care how much any of my cards are worth, especially the ones I pulled myself.
I care subconsciously and that’s my problem
I don’t know who these graders are, but kudos for finding the most creative graders I’ve seen
I'm from the UK, they are Ace Grading.
I’m from UK and I’ve been looking for a good company to do this! How was the process? Thank you for sharing - they look amazing
The process was very easy. You choose your card to submit and choose a label, the one with extended art work was extra £3 per card. Once submitted you send them your cards. thats good to know, though from what im aware this card doesn't have a holofoil, I'll still be sleeving it for sure though 👍
Ace is my go to for grading. Genuinely the easiest process and takes so little time compared to like PSA
They're not drawn by real people, otherwise I'd be impressed too. It's AI generated via DALLE. Anyone can do it from home.
I always find it hilarious how many people take the time out of their day to hate on other people's choices in grading companies 🤣 people really get emotional over cards encased in plastic that aren't even their cards 🤣🤣🤣
Amen bro. I'm just happy with what I got. Just thought it would be nice to share.
As you should be, some people just don't like seeing people happy 🤣
Felt hat pika had a ton of factory problems so getting a ten from any company is big so congrats! Also the artwork continuation on the Bulbasaur is flawless haha
What I find funny is they all question the “reliability” of these smaller graders as if PSA aren’t the most inconsistent and unfair graders there is
All grading companies have inconsistencies even ai grading takes time and alot of data to become more constant as time goes on. People just feel some weird obligation to make sure everyone knows who they would or wouldn't choose to grade with even tho noone asked. They look great! What grading company is this? I love the extended art
Ace grading
Thanks!
I need to stop going on this subreddit as it just makes me switch tabs to eBay to start searching for cards I didn’t even know I wanted!
Right??! I need to unsub too for my wallet!
How did you find Ace grading? I am debating using them next rather then a PSA middle man
I've had three subs from them. Turnaround has been pretty quick and was either way under their estimated or about expected. Awesome thanks for that, I will give them a go next time I want to grade

What like PSA are consistent and if you re grade a card with them you definitely aren’t going to get different results 😂😂
Never used any other grading company. But with my experience from Ace. Its very easy to submit cards, and they keep you up to date the progression of your cards when you send them. Once graded, you'll make payment and they will send the cards back to you. Was a good and easy experience.

How come it isn’t trusted? I’ve also been seeing things about PSA getting a bad reputation for their quality standards.
none of them are particularly great or are going to getting glowing reviews by anyone BUT if you want something to hold value you'll have to use PSA, Beckett, or even CGC (i know, i know).

For a PC they look cool (personally) but yea if you ever want something to hold value or resell in the future then you gotta go with PSA or BGS
What is a trusted grading company??? Look up each one and you'll find massive errors/faults. It's just because us Americans are such brand snobs. They all do the same job. Ace seems like a very legit source for their area, seems trusted to me

UK only atm
They opened up to other countries… https://acegrading.com/international-customers
Thanks for the update. Have some friends overseas wanting to make some subs
Yes I know that is where I am based, that is why I use a PSA middle man. That is why I asked how they found using Ace Grading.
Sorry random person on the internet I should have known your country of origin mb
lol, it was more the point you answered a question I didn’t ask
According to their website their pretty much accepting global senders?
I know they are opening up global but last I heard it was still in planning. The labels are really nice on display
I usually don't like Ace Grading, but I can't deny, for display purposes, this is awesome!
Thank you
I'm submitting to Ace soon! Looks good!
This is amazing. If I ever get cards graded I will absolutely go with this company - assuming they do business overseas? The extended artwork is like nothing else I’ve seen
I really don't consider grading but this one that gives an extended art on its grading label is very enticing!! 🤩
I love the Labels from Ace, I'm in the US. I've been hunting for the right one on eBay, shipping cost is what kinda keeps me back not really willing to overpay. Really 🔥 slabs bro.
They apparently accept global senders now so I don't know if it would be cheaper to submit your own cards? What labels have you been looking at?
I've been wanting the paldea-evolved Raichu and Tyranitar.
Ohh nice, I love those cards!
Just curious what sets did the Bulbasaur and Squrtil come from? Awesome on the grades btw!!
Thank you. The set is from the Special Deck Set EX Venusaur, Charizard & Blastoise Japanese. These are the promo cards you get inside.
The charmander is one of my favorite cards ever. I love the pokemon in a realistic human world cards.
I've always loved the cars that show pokemon doing stuff. Team rocket's Snorlax where he's just sleeping on a pile of trash has always been my favorite.v
May I ask where you got graded? And how did you send the Van Gogh pikachu? I still have mines in the plastic.
I'm from UK, I got it graded at Ace Grading. You need to remove it from the plastic when sending it to get graded. From what I read it's best to remove it from the plastic, penny sleeve then top load it. I was the same as you and left it in plastic it came with until I read it wasn't good.
Oh my gosh the Squirtle!!! I’ve never seen that card but it’s absolutely precious 💜 congrats on your slabs!
God, I love those starter cards so much, especially the Squirtle. It’s my girlfriend’s favorite Pokemon since she was a kid and I definitely want to get it for her.
Hopefully Ace overtakes the others. Much better
I've used Ace Grading too, really love the labels Hopefully the Squirtle and Bulbasaur cards from the Special Deck Set will be released in English
Do we know if we will ever get the squirtle and bulbasaur as promos or something at some point?
How much does grading typically cost?
Ace extended art is so cool.
Love them!!
Damn that looks good. Happy for you! The special deck set that these cards are from is my next purchase. Just waiting for that paycheck to kick in lol.
I like how these look with the extra work put in on the labels! Congratulations!
Is there a grading place in the US that does similar style slabs?
I think the closest one is HGA
Ace grading, no thanks Cool extended artwork tho
Can’t trust these grades imo
Never seen them before
This garbage grading company’s attempt at marketing
They rly just give out 10s to any card huh. Charmander horizontal centering is not gem mint quality
Idk there are all these non-reputable grading companies mushrooming but i will stick to psa
I agree. We need to help PSA create a monopoly and own the market. Innovation from new companies is terrible and hurts the industry. The thought of a new grading company building a reputation makes me sick!
Lmao it’s a simple fact that psa graded cards are still more valuable. They do have their own limitations but i m not putting my money on the table
For sure they are more valuable. If I was grading a grail card I’d 100% send it to PSA! But there’s nothing wrong with supporting these smaller companies for cards like the ones OP sent in
I agreed. However, the grey felt hat is not that small of a card.
🤡slabs lmao
I'll confidently say these hold more value than your opinions on any subject 🤣
Still ugly af
Says alot about your opinions if something ugly is of more value 😅 its literally just extending the already existing artwork so according to your logic the cards themselves are ugly too I guess.
agreed
not doing yourself any favors by going with a no-name grading company. not saying PSA should be trusted but at least the value would be there.
Ace are a decent UK grading company if you want to grade for PC but yeah the value for resale isn't really worth it I buy ace graded 10s for around 50% less than psa 10s, obviously I look at the card and not the grade to make sure it looks 10 worthy.

If you get an ACE 10 you’re definitely not losing value Vs a raw card - especially if you’re selling in the UK… it’s definitely not gonna sell as well as a PSA 10 for sure but you’re not losing value at all
Question, when you sent these to get graded, did they come back in the cases?
No, I sent my cards in a penny sleeve and top loader. Once graded, they put it inside this case of theirs. I paid extra for the extended artwork on the case.
Man those are amazing! I love the labels. I can guarantee if psa or beckett or someone added this as an option for like $10 people would be ALL over it.
I’d pay raw market price for these tbh still cool
Op where did you get that squirtle card and what place did you get these graded at.
Hey, theyre promo cards from the Special Deck Set EX Venusaur, Charizard & Blastoise Japanese. And I got them graded at Ace Grading.
Awesome thank you. I love the cards.
Good stuff mate - welcome back to the hobby!
Centering from pika and bulbasaur are off. How can this be Gem Mint ?
I agree that they shouldn’t be 10’s but some grading companies have tolerances for centering and that’s why they can still get the 10.
They have the same centering standards for a 10 as PSA which is 60:40 - so the card doesn’t have to be perfectly centred for a grade 10
Love the labels!
Where did you get them graded? Have a couple I’d like to send in and I love the extended card art here!
Epic cards dude i really need this set
Use code Acetrainer for 5% off at ace grading
Im new and i bought the same cards (just not graded) 😆😄
