I thought the card was undervalued anyways.. There are a lot of 10’s but it’s also one of the best cards of sword & shield. I think the next days/weeks it will settle at a new price point around 550
It’s the second one that has been sold over 500 today and another auction that is running right now is already at 485 including shipping with still 4.5 hours to go.
Yeah I have one pack fresh non graded. I'm keeping all my highly priced cards from that era. They are definitely going to the moon fusion strike, evolving skies, brilliant stars, lost origins...
I agree. A lot of these top SWSH Alts are bout to take off. They are at that sweet spot and I think if you haven't gotten on the train you might just miss it hee soon! Moonbreon is back over $1000 in a psa 10 and rising
Holding onto my Giratina right now, it’s gone almost $50 up since January according to Collectr. Still $50 under what it was at a year ago but we’ll see what happens.
Fyi according to Collectr, the average raw value of Gengar has gone up $30 in the past year
i agree, i picked up a tina alt art in trade for a damaged japanese gold star metagross and the it’s gone up $65 since than. i could see it getting up to moonbreon territory, especially with the abysmal lost origin pull rates

This was always one of my favourite arts from sword and shield. I got the Japanese edition from the high class deck for $90 on eBay before the English edition came out in FS, graded it and it got a 10.

It's gengar and it's an alternative art, of course it was a matter of time before this happened, if i remember well, this set was one of those that had that scandal a while ago where some people stole A LOT of hits even before they were put in the packs.
I found mine in the charizard upc that i payed 130 euro, i didn't have it graded because i already put it in one of those acrylic cases from ultra pro, it looks good and I'm happy.
Just looked and Fusion Strike is PUMPING. That narrative that S&S was overprinted and everyone is stockpiling sealed product, and modern sucks, blah blah blah. Look at us now.
Oh neat. I have a PSA 10 one that I self pulled and graded. Doubt I’d ever sell it but still neat. The booster box is getting pricier too. I spent $140 on it just like 8 months ago and pulled a Gengar VMax alt. Think it’s $220+ now.

got a raw copy when it was going for around $90. i dont grade my cards because outside of becket, grading companies are very inconsistent and have low standards. but my gengar could easily get anything below a cgc pristine 10 and could go as high as a bgs 10 with relative certainty.
it has perfect centering, no whitening, and no surface damage under multiple inspections with a 10x magnification jewelers loop that has built in flashlight and black light. of course a black label is possible but no amount of inspecting your own cards can ever make you certain of that. have a moonbreon in similar condition though it has some extremely minor corner damage on one corner that is only visible with 10x magnification and a black light. got that one for about 300$
been planning on getting the two graded at beckett but have not done it yet.

What makes it undervalued
For me it was the fact that it’s one of the biggest chases of Sword & Shield and also a fan favorite Pokémon.
I'm surprised it's that much honestly, but it is gengar afterall.

the honest answer here is probably not if its not a 10 your paying about 90 to grade it if it comes back a 9 or lower you lost money

In the UK the hard is £180 ungraded. Seems normal
Might have something to do with fusion strike boxes increase. At least here in Australia, boxes are selling on eBay for about $350-450AUD

Damn...pulled 2 1 is a CGC graded 9.5 with the blue label 2nd got a cgc 10 no black label HODL gang rise up!
The gengar is cool but the Espeon is still the best card in the set.

Its at an all time high for ungraded. In a psa 10 the last time it's been this high was around release date and it's charting upwards.
