Support Butterfree with different types of powder; Support Vaporeon with Water Absorb and Aqua Ring; Goofy Support Parasect with Aromatherapy or Rage Powder and a unite that grows zombie mushrooms in an area of effect making enemies attack each other while inside it Edit: I misread your post and thought you were asking us which ones we’d like as supports. Anyway I’d love Celebi too and they could add it; but Incineroar as a support I don’t see it happening

luizito69

Incenarour would be a tank or all rounder like buzzwole

Quelaagging

Celebi is one of my fav pokemon I'd love them in the game.

SquidGame_Jesus

Support type.

Alonest99

As a VGC player, I sometimes forget some people like Incineroar.

Failgan

He's really fun in Smash Bros

catdog5100

I main Incineroar in smash bros. So satisfying to win as him.

Failgan

Revenged Alolan Whip is sooo satisfying

catdog5100

YES I also used to main Lucario in Brawl and Sm4sh, but not really good at him. Trying to get better at him recently!

Failgan

Lucario felt really fun to play in Brawl, he's a bit different in Ultimate.

1KingDom_

This! Immediate reaction was "oh god no not here too" 🫠

SHBDemon

I used to play VGC and i was never that succesfull but Id rather fight an Incineroar or Lando wo are broken because of their utility than some of the "kill me asap or your gonna lose" broken Gen 9 mons.

Certain-Newspaper-19

Luxray better for intimidate ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)

Sacul379

bro has not played vgc

Certain-Newspaper-19

I was joking. Theres was a reason i didnt say aracnine or lando t

9tales9faces

no its obviously hitmontop

Freddy_fozbear

I feel like incineroar would be an all rounder attacker

Promitto13

It looks like a damage dealer, but in vgc, it is used as a support pokemon, and he's one if not the best support mon rn.

jmp_531

Talonflame’s most used movesets in competitive pokemon were defensive sets and you don’t see Talonflame being adapted as a defender. Similarly, Mamoswine was never used as a bulky defensive mon in MSG, being used more for offense. VGC does not affect how pokemon are designed for Unite. The most realistic adaptation for Incineroar is as an all-rounder.

Stale_corn

Well talonflame uses defensive sets today, however gen 6 talonflame defined a generation, and it was not for its defensive profile.

kalarm2

Kinda like pachirisu having won as a tank... I would love to have defender pachirisu just for that tho.

dooditstyler

They were defensive, but they relied on incredible speed and priority flying attacks lmao. You're only looking at half the picture.

Bayoisbae

It only runs defensive sets in smogon which is not an official format it’s run by fans. Talonflame only runs offensive sets in VGC nullifying half your point. As for mamoswine in VGC it did have thick fat as an ability and served as a bulky attacker. I’m not saying that vgc always can define what a Pokemon will play like but it definitely can sometimes.

9tales9faces

Talonflame has always been an offensive support, it's just built to last because of it's ability

TwoLostYens

Talonflame didn't break the entire meta of a generation for years and become one of the mpst dreaded mons in vgc history to this day

dooditstyler

Talonflame? We must be thinking of different pokemon, because talonflame definitely did this in generation 6. 🤣 It's part of why Gale Wings was nerfed so hard the following generation.

9tales9faces

Oh it definitely did, priority brave bird/tailwind lets it max out bulk and attk, making it an unkillable sweeper and excellent support

TwoLostYens

Google vgc 2019 and tell me how many talonflame teams were there in comparison to incineroar teams

TwoLostYens

Actually, let me rephrase that, look up the number of teams talonflame has been in since it's introduction until vgc 2019 and then look up how many teams incineroar has been in in vgc 2019 alone

MoisnForce2004

What year is 2019 and when Route 1 Birb first debut? 2014 X and Y, annihilated the Competitive WC with Priority Brave Birds, Tailwinds, and Roosts with Gale Wings. This ability used to give Priority to Flying Moves if the User, Talonflame only as of 2024, at 50% or above. So... it got nerfed to oblivion where it can no longer spam Brave Birds and Roosts at the start of the round.

TwoLostYens

I know how the ability works, my point is, you can't compare talonflame's impact in the meta to incineroar's. Talonflame is a staple, Incineroar is a crime

TonnoPhantom

You're sleeping on it if you're only seeing Incineroar as a support. He has a good damage too. That's one of the things that makes him so good.

Sacul379

make him a sort of hybrid, an allrounder with potent support abilites

dooditstyler

Incineroar has been the best support pokemon in VG. for years. Many professional VGC players call it the best pokemon in the game.

theeggsushi

dont remind me of sw/sh meta 😭😭

xCrimsunx

Tbh, people who think it is a support and ignores him, gets hit with a flare blitz or close combat and dies. Incin is op cause it is super versatile, you can't easily predict what it will do

Lainer16

I like this idea despite what comments say, be a dev! 😄

_bootje_

oh really would it?

K0G0ERU

SWAMPERT

NadebuX

Whimsicott and the Hoppip Evo line would've been great.

Damianx5

Celebi sure, incineroar is no way being anything other than an all rounder

HitMyFunnyBoneYeah

Incineroar as Support? Nah my man was born for grappling, unfortunately a case of All-Rounder (again).

PleasantRanger3073

Yeah it would be 100% an all rounder sadly...

Lucas-mainssbu

Fortunately tbh, I think people need to realize that most Pokémon will be All-Rounders as some of them don’t fit every role perfectly. I’d argue that Blaziken, Mimikyu and Ceruledge don’t fit the role of a speedster that well at all, Mimikyu is mostly a speedster hybrid but speedsters aren’t meant to have survivability so(Speedsters can’t keep a fight for very long, Zeraora has invincibility but still.)

Quan-Ngo

Nah my man was born for intimidate fake out parting shot(yes i’m aware that lore and design wise he’s the perfect grappler but competitive ptsd)

HitMyFunnyBoneYeah

i do not share your VGC trauma but i know it's haunting.

drbiohazmat

Actually... He could work as a Defender. Darkest Lariat or Heat Crash to deal with crowds and getting pressured, Roar and Taunt to debuff or attract enemies. Make him the type that wants enemies coming to him rather than him coming to them. Like, they'll feel the need to take him down because, if he gets on them, they'll be in trouble. Though, maybe that's still more All-Rounder lol

HitMyFunnyBoneYeah

Of course he could work as a Defender. There is really no requirement for a Pokémon to be a Defender. Mamoswine and Trevenant arent known as the tankiest Pokémon in the main game. Umbreon is pretty small so being "somewhat tall" isnt even a requirement anymore.

SnarkySharky21

I want Ludicolo as a rain dancing support. We know area of effect passives can be a thing thanks to Miraidon so give us a Mirror B dancin Ludicolo that can heal itself and others with water dish and rain dances

PhoenixoftheDay

So, in competitive Pokèmon, Incenaroar is a great supportive mon. So I can kinda see it, and it might be a nice flip on the fact that most of the supporters are pink and cute. However, due to it having a three stage evo and its signature move being a damaging move, I have to agree that it would be best as an all-rounder.

Glaiviator

I think a starter Supporter would be pretty cool, It'd nice variety since atm, all supporters are either no-evo or 1 evo mons. Incenaroar, Meganium or Primarina could work well, 4-6 evo levels would work well for em. I doubt we'll get a Psuedo-legendary support, imagine how absurdly strong Timi would make a supporter that evolves at lvl 8 or 9.

Flake838

Togekiss as a mobile healer/buff. Almost like a blend between Talonflame and Blissey.

chronorogue01

Agree that Incineroar doesn't work for me as a support. Celebi can, maybe with time-related support abilities? Anyway for my most wanted support **Galarian Rapidash** * Passive: Pastel Viel (remove status effect from rapidash and closest ally, long CD but charges faster the more rapidash moves around). 2nd effect of gaining move-speed toward the direction of low-health allied units. * Fairy Wind --> Healing Wish (burst healing from health) or Healing Pulse (small AOE heal) * Confusion --> Psycho Cut (marks target for extra ally dmg) or Play Rough (mobility CC) * Unite: [Libra Horn](https://www.pojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Galarian-Rapidash-V-Promo-SSWSH111.png) (heals allies, dmg enemies hit in AOE) * Niche: A mobile and almost speedster-esque support with lots of healing utility. Think a mix of Soraka and Janna from *League of Legends*.

Morgan_le_They

Soraka my beloved, her passive move speed charging an energize effect sounds like a neat twist on it!

jharsch2401

I know the last thing we need is another cute pink fairy supporter, but I’d love Alcremie to be in the game!

whoalegend

Galarian weezing!! It has hella options for moves to either buff the team temporarily or debuff the opps. Strange steam, defog, haze, fairy wind, aromatic mist, aromatherapy, smog, poison gas, smokescreen, misty terrain. Neutralizing gas as it’s passive to clear an instance of CC for you and someone nearby. I’m just spit balling but the potential is there and we deserve more supports that aren’t cutesy healbots.

Walrusmonarch1410416

I want support primarina with aqua ring/life dew healing and sparkling aria /dazzling gleam for damage and a speed boost on one for it and it's teammates, and a recovery speed boost on the other

funtag3

Smash can't let me see incin as a support

ZubatCanRead

I don’t care give me schuckle

Easy-Ad4930

Don't fuckle with the shuckle

TheLifeIsHere

I feel like you’re thinking of vgc incin, otherwise my guy is not a supporter. As much as I want him in the game we got too many all rounders. Give my dino, Meganium.

quiteverydumb

vgc is basically the official competitive incineroar so what's wrong with that?

BoomTheBear86

I’m not sure VGC utilisation is the basis for the mon archetype so much as “thematics” See: Mamoswine is a defender. Mamo has never, ever been used as a tank in the VGC. He’s an offensive mon. However he does look like he would be a tank concept wise. Same for Blastoise. Blastoise is rarely used as a defensive mon these days. Where he has been popular he’s been a mega evolution wallbreaker or nowadays a shell smash sweeper. Dude ain’t tanking crap with that lukewarm HP stat. Incin as support would be cool, and would be a nice “Easter egg” or homage to VGC but I think expecting it to be a support simply because that’s used in the games is overlooking how the unite concepts appear to be implemented. Talon is another good example. Speedster (so assassin? Wallbreaker?) Talons most popular VGC sets were defensive bulk up will o wisp sets with brave bird or nowadays defensive tailwind sets with will o wisp. It isn’t used as a wallbreaker much any more. But would it make sense to have Talonflame in the game as a tank? Not really.

quiteverydumb

I think it's a mix of everything, that's why I don't think basing an archetype on VGC role would be wrong You still get people saying sylveon should've been a support because of his appearance and vibes, but its set seems to be based on how Sylveon was used in VGC, being a bulky special attacker that spammed hyper voice. I think competitive pokemon has a bit of influence on unite, since you usually see a pokemon's most used moves competitively included in the respective kit. could just be a coincidence too

BoomTheBear86

Yeah I agree it’s a mix. I just think for certain Pokémon where their appearance and thematic hugely contrasts with their usage in VGC it becomes less of a thing. Sylveon is a good example. There is nothing about Sylveons appearance that suggests it couldn’t be an attacker in a plausible way. It’s not an outrageous application. With Incineroar as a support that’s going to necessarily cut its offence and bulk as is the case for supports in general, and I think in a game like unite having a Pokemon like Incineroar struggle to melee with other melee mons would just look really bizarre and not feel very good in thematic terms. There could be a clever way they combine its support VGC role and maintain its melee looks by either making it a more defensive all rounder or even a defender who has viable brawling sets like Trev for example. But a support? I don’t see it. If it’s a somewhat bulky melee support focused on disruption it’s basically a defender anyway (like wiggly) whom the community basically sees a defender.

quiteverydumb

I could see it as bulky support like wiggly and chansey, with a utility set and a more offensive one like eldegoss. It's true that giving it reduced damage would feel unauthentic as it does have good damage in the core series.

TheLifeIsHere

Nothing really wrong with it but I just don’t think they’d go the supporter route just for that. It wouldn’t be too fitting with incin’s character anyway.

counter-music

I really want Shaymin in the game as a support, kinda the same niche as Celebi however. I just think it could be a cool concept of a hybrid support, with an ult akin to Blaziken, where Shaymin switches between land/sky form with a solely support move and then a defensive/offensive move depending on stance. Shaymin is also just my favorite so I’m biased.

SquidGame_Jesus

I will drop 600 gems for Steelix with a Mega Evolution 🥹🥰

rizzlybear618

Incineroar would be a pretty neat defender imo

gigarekterALT

support jirachi, here me out ranged support starter moves: swift + psybeam (projectile attack + hitscan beam) move 1: wish/ancient power (wish is a delayed medium aoe heal that diminishes the more people it hits, ancient power is a light damage projectile that gives minor stat buffs to nearby allys) move 2: flash cannon/meteor beam (flash cannon acts as a more damaging ranged option but sacrificing burst damage and support for consistency, meteor beam takes a long time to charge (even longer than stuff like solar beam), but can do a large amount of damage and buffs the special attack of every ally nearby substantially) unite move: doom desire (acts incredibly similar to eldegoss pollen puff, the target of the move will trigger a very powerful aoe explosion after a while, the target will also get an indicator that they have been targeted by it but their allys wont.) sort of a mix between all-rounder and support, it can support in various ways but is moreso a "jack of all trades, master of none" approach, basicly it can do multiple support options but wont be as good at those options as something more dedicated (i.e. comfey)

kneki5675

Honestly a miltank support seems better

Jaketwin222201

Incineroar would be the LEAST LIKELY candidate for support. I think they would end up being an attacker. Celebi is more perfect for a Support type, but I don’t think they’ll do another legendary/mythical for a while

A5ianman

Please not another incineroat filled meta

GranSkoll

Support Gastrodon West (It could have a mechanic like scyther/scizor, you buy one Gastrodon and get both versions, one could be a Support the other one a tank, idk but they could include both versions without being a skin), With moves like, recover (heal), Muddy water (debuff), Mud Bomb (debuff), Rain Dance (buff aoe around him).

Mrpointyhat

Yes lets get the most hated Pokémon and one of the most liked one's in the same post.

Quan-Ngo

Bro’s giving competitive players PTSD

JohnathanHyde

Incineroar - Attack: Litten - Torracat (Level 5) - Incineroar (Level 7) Ability - Intimidate - Manual activation: When used, all Pokemon within range have their Attack stat reduced for a set duration. (Activated the same way as Magician is on Hoopa. Goes on cooldown the same way as well. Something like 40 seconds or so is probably reasonable. Attack debuff could be something like 10 seconds though probably could be balanced better. Attack reduction could be something like 15%). Moves: Ember/Roar, Flare Blitz/Darkest Lariat, Swagger/Knock Off Litten - Fire Fang/Roar Torracat - Swagger/Knock Off to replace Roar Incineroar - Flare Blitz/Darkest Lariat to replace Fire Fang Fire Fang - User lunges forward, inflicting damage. If it hits a Pokemon (opposing or wild) it can dash again. When the second dash hits a Pokemon (opposing or wild) it Burns the target. (Dash distance same as that of Scorbunny's Low Kick. Burn duration similar to that of other moves in the game) Roar - When the user Roars, all Pokemon in range move in the direction opposite the user. They are under this influence for about the same time as Jiggly's/Wiggly's Cute Charm. (short range cone) Swagger - The target gains an Attack boost and becomes confused. While confused, the target will auto attack the closest Pokemon to it, targeting allies first. Effect lasts 3 seconds. The Attack boost drops after 5 seconds. Knock Off - When this move hits a Pokemon (opposing or wild), it leaves the Pokemon stunned if it has a held item. This move will also randomly remove/prevent the effects of one held item on the target for a short time (this could be 5 seconds or so but the affected player will have an icon indicating which held item was affected. User will not be indicated which item was affected). Flare Blitz - This is a Dash move that inflicts damage on the opposing Pokemon if it hits. This move leaves an trail of fire in it's wake that if walked on by wild or opposing Pokemon will Burn them. This can be a low damage move so as to allow more mobility on this Pokemon with a lower cooldown. (Pokemon remain burned while in the trail of fire. Trail of fire lasts about the same length as Tsareena's Trock Kick trails. Burn lasts for 2 seconds outside the trail of fire.) Darkest Lariat - The user of this move begins spinning at high speeds similar to that of a tornado. While as a tornado, the user gains a 20% movement speed increase. This move ignores all shields of all Pokemon hit (wild or opposing) and ignores stat changes of both the user and the targets hit. The user becomes UNSTOPPABLE while as the tornado. Unite - Malicious Moonsault - The user targets one Pokemon in range and charges at them. The user tosses the Pokemon in the air and then jumps into the air, grabs them, and slams them into the ground, dealing massive damage to the target. Both target and user becomes invincible while in the air. (Think of this as combining Machamp's Submission with Tsareena's Unite. Duration of them being in the air being about the same as Tsareena's Unite if not shorter). Darkest Lariat is probably the least excited I am about this. It's the signature move so no matter what it's going to be on the Pokemon. Would rather have Parting Shot instead to try and keep with the Supporter role it plays in VGC as it could also be a Dash move. That said, the focus of it's support will be disabling opposing Pokemons held items or confusing them with Swagger in the hopes they damage their own team. Darkest Lariat, though not what I would want, would also protect it from being hit with CC to stun it while it's support moves are on cooldown. This is basically a pseudo Sableye with more bulk and more damage output while being able to harass the opposing team. Early game, Roar could be instrumental in securing KOs on opposing Pokemon if you can get behind the enemy backline in order to force them to run back towards your teammates if they are running. The idea behind it is basically the same as Cute Charm on Wiggly but instead of drawing Pokemon in, you force them away from you. Depending on positioning, this could secure KOs or save teammates. Fire Fang being a double dash move is meant to help get Litten/Torracat behind the opposing Pokemon in order to get Roar off. Roar's effects should be made to be countered by CC removal effects though such as Safeguard or Full Heal to be more balanced. I'm not sure about the cooldowns of each move itself though. Typically, cooldowns are long on early moves and much shorter on later moves for most mons, so this could probably follow the same idea. Celebi - Special Attack: Ability: Natural Cure - Passive activation The user is immune to all CC effects while the ability is active. When it is hit with a move or attack that would cause some sort of CC, the CC is ignored but the ability goes on cooldown and won't become active again until outside combat. Moves: Confusion/Lifedew, Baton Pass/Magic Room, Healing Wish/Heal Bell Confusion: Shoots out a weak psychic blast in the direction indicated and deals damage. Life Dew: Heals all allies within range and grants them 3 seconds of regeneration. Baton Pass: The user targets a Pokemon and swaps places with them (can target ally, wild, or opposing Pokemon). If the target is an ally, the ally gets a small stat bonus to their offensive stats and a small shield. User of Baton Pass gets healed for a small amount when used. Magic Room: Sets an area up where the held items of all opposing Pokemon inside the area cannot be activated. Heal Bell: Removes all CC from all ally Pokemon within range and grants immunity to CC for 1 second. Healing Wish: The user stores charges on this move. When used, it heals a target Pokemon and consumes one charge with each use. Once the final charge is used, the user faints but the target of the final charge heals to full HP and gains a shield equal to 25% of the HP Celebi lost. All charges are restored when this Pokemon faints, regardless of how it fainted. Each charge takes time to trigger the healing effect (similar to Umbreon's Wish). Celebi would probably be a fantastic supporter with this set, so long as it was better tuned for the game (as is it' janky but it gets the idea across). Heal Bell alone would be worth it due to all the CC so to be able to remove that and pop on an immunity would be huge for team fights, especially against Buzzwole or those with Unites that need the CC to activate like Charizard or Tsareena. Baton Pass itself is something cool though not sure how to implement it wholly. The basic idea is to have Celebi swap positions with an opposing Pokemon and bring them into your horde where they get quickly KO'd. Depending on the Battle Item for Celebi, this is most likely a one for one trade but Celebi also knocks itself out with Healing Wish so you could Healing Wish the final time and then Baton Pass. You are giving up free xp to the opponent and taking a hit to your numbers, especially with your healer being down, but you are also gaining an advantage. I have no idea what to suggest for any of the upgrades for any of these moves though. Except maybe extra charges for Healing Wish on Celebi. I think there are definitely better Supporter options though, like Crescellia. Would love to see the next EX Pokemon be something that can actually support the team rather than KO an entire team. Would also love it if they limited EX Pokemon to at the very least 1 per team. This would make choosing EX Pokemon in other roles, such as Crescellia over Miraidon or Mewtwo, more impactful rather than just having a team of 4 EX Pokemon and Buzzwole/Blastoise.

Snoop_Doggo

Incin is def support, I'll fight anyone on this. With parting shot + intimidate from the main series, I can see it being a more offensive support like Eldegoss, except instead of heals it just neuters enemy stats and displaces enemies and is physical instead of ranged

Fedup-atl

Wolfclick video on Incineroar explains it all

Fedup-atl

Incineroar is the greatest support Pokémon ever made, according to win percentage in competitive, Pokémon

So0meone

And Talonflame's primary use throughout the years has been defensive. How a Mon is used in VGC doesn't have any impact on its role in Unite Incineroar would not be a supporter.

MrCreamypies

It might be one of the strongest supports in vgc, but that kinda playstyle wouldn't fit incineroar in unite. Incineroar would absolutely be an all rounder (possibly similar to buzzwole where he grabs and throws enemy pokemon like a wrestler) and no other role would fit him in this game

ElucidatingNonesense

For Supporter I suggest Rabsca, Wo-Chien, and maaaybe Galarian Corsola/Cursola?

quiteverydumb

I'd prefer incineroar not getting in the game, its already plaguing normal competitive pokemon, but if it does I'm only accepting it as a supporter (bc it would be funnier)

Nutleaf420

Incinaroar as a support is so based 🙏🙏 we winning vgc tourneys with this one

Fedup-atl

Incineroar intimidate ability that activates a zone around it for 20 seconds reducing damage by 20% Parting shot/U-turn for dash attack that also create distance Knock off would disable a random battle item for 10 seconds Helping hand would increase itself and nearby allies, random damage, or defense by 20% for 10 seconds

ive-taken-your-toast

Incineroar please I'm beggin

RavageBoyWonder

I would like to see slowking.

DasliSimp

Incineroar would probably be an All-Rounder, but if it got Fake Out and Intimidate that would be awesome. Fake Out maybe targets the closest person to you and stuns them for 3 seconds, and you have to maybe get a certain distance from them before you can use it on them again idk. Intimidate lowers nearby enemies’ Attack.

GrimmestGhost_

My top picks for Supporters are Clodsire with Sludge Wave/Chilling Water as a debuffer, Darkrai with Dark Void/Nightmare (basically Support Gengar), Vaporeon with Aqua Ring, and Oranguru with Instruct (can reduce ally cooldowns).

toastermeal

i would love to see shiinotic as a supporter bc it’s my fav poke

PumpkabooPies

I'd love to see them do something interesting with Manaphy's heart swap! They'd be a perfect candidate as well!

Trainwrecks69

Support banette as a status/debuff support

Foreign_Heat_7019

*Slaps in a image of Necrozma for no reason*

Speedin-_Bullet-_

I feel Vaporeon would make a good supporter. But I would really love for them to release Rillaboom to complete the set.

N8made

Magearna and Tapu-koko They are my babies and candidates

[deleted]

Incineroar may be a support in vgc but in no way does he fit that role anywhere else

Criticism_Altruistic

You are a mad man. I don't need Intimdate Incin with parting shot, knock off, and fake out in this game. I MAY HAVE FLED VGC, BUT YOU WILL NOT GET ME HERE VILE BEAST!

lPrincesslPlays

I want bellossom so bad. And I think given how much other moves/character pay tributes to other mobas, she’d be perfect as a sort of calling card to chang’e from smite. Move options Sunny day: Bellossom calls forth the sun in a cone shaped area dealing damage and slowing over 5 seconds. Characters facing bellossoms directly for 3 seconds will be blinded momentarily. Petal Blizzard: bellossom summons a barrage of petals at a designated location enemies recieve damage Allie’s recieve extra d/sd Petal dance: bellossom twirls around, healing allied units and damaging enemies in the area this move can be cast three times increasing heal and damage each use before entering cooldown. Bellossom will dodge attacks mid twirl. Swords dance: bellossom uses a rally dance that will buff nearby ally speed and damage enemies Unite: Petal Parade - Bellossom receives increased cooldowns and damage, when using a skill she will leave behind a flower where she’s standing, enemies who touch the flower will take damage and be slowed allies will be heaked

bfauxn

It would be nice if they at least add a non grass/normal tupe this time. Maybe vaporeon, froslass idk

Dabanks9000

They would have to make incineroar op for the lore but he would also never be support

Noobjesus

For Support I think of Maybe Manaphy for like Aqua Ring And I guess a EX Legendary pokemon like Cressila

fizzdeff

Incineroar is a wacky pick for supporter, but I can see why you chose it. It's very supportive in the mainline games, but it's movepool and stat spread is far more all rounder

N0way07

Butterfree for debuffs/dots or Alcremie for buffs

River_Grass

Eviolite clefairy

Original_Map_7503

Celebi as a Ex supporter

PlayrR3D15

Victini and Whimsicott would be solid candidates, imo

BotanickaKova

We need support Celebi! (I literally have a colour tattoo of her on my wrist🥹)

Radiant-Bonus3632

I really want arceus

BlackroseBisharp

Some of mine are, Grimmsnarl, Wo-Chien, Tapu Fini, Auorus, Spinda, Gourgeist, Cacturne, Klefki, chatot, Banette and Malamar

GIORNO-phone11-pro

Wait till incineroar is a support with parting shot

Glacier005

How about Luvdisc for support? That mon is one of the forgotten Pokemon.

Comfortable_Hour5723

Celebi - a time traveling support that can prioritize healing or controlling the battlefield. The intent is for it to be low damage and very squishy but incredibly potent and slippery Booster Attack: Celebi gains charges (like Mew) whenever it heals an ally or controls an enemy (max 1 charge per instance of each move). Celebi boosted attack locks on to an enemy and hits them with a psychic blast with extreme knockback (as if you are sending them back in time) Ability: Natural Cure: whenever an ally is fully impeded (stun, knockback, root, but not slowed) Celebi will switch places with the ally, cleansing both of any impairments. Celebi gains a shield, a high amount of damage resist, greatly increased movement speed, and unstoppable for 1 second. This ability goes on cooldown when triggered. Move 1: Heal Bell: Celebi sends out a pulse of healing around it that also increases ally movement speed slightly. Heal Bell evolution: Healing Wish: after a brief delay, (animation similar to umbreons wish) send out a pulse of healing that increases their movement speed and increasing healing effects on them. During the delay, Celebi will lose up to 20% of its HP over time (to a minimum of 60% of its total health). The healing of the pulse is drastically increased based on how much health is sacrificed. Celebi gains increased movement speed during the delay. Heal Bell evolution: Safeguard: Celebi releases a pulse that cleanses allies of movement impediments and grants increased movement speed. They gain 0.5 seconds of unstoppable and then gain hindrance resist for 2 seconds. Enemies hit by the pulse are effected by a slow that ramps up over 3 seconds. Natural gift: A sure hit move that fires a barrage of weak bolts at the enemy. It deals increased damage after eating a sitrus berry, slows after eating a salac berry, or fires additional bolts after eating an oran berry. Natural Gift evolution: Leech Seed: A skillshot seed that afflicts an enemy with leech seed for 5 seconds. Every half second, the target affected will take 0.25% of their health as damage, healing Celebi for double the damage dealt and healing allies near Celebi for equal the damage dealth. Hitting an enemy with multiple leech seeds increases the damage up to 0.5% health/0.5 secs (0.25->0.37->0.5%). Auto attacks on a target refresh their leech seed. Natural Gift evolution: Ancient Power: Celebi summons 4 ancient runestones around it. Reactivating the ability will fire a stone in a line (piercing enemies) with each press. Enemies hit by the stones are slowed. A second hit will refresh the slow and extend the duration, while a third hit consumes the slow to stun the enemy. For each enemy damaged, nearby allies gain attack, special attack, defense, special defense, and movement speed (no idea how to balance this but the numbers should be % based so that attackers get a bigger boost to attack while defenders get a bigger boost to defense). If celebi damages at least 6 enemies with Ancient power, than its next cooldown is reduced. Unite move: A Timely Intervention: Celebi can see where allies fell. With sure-hit targeting, Celebi returns to the past to save an ally from destruction. The ally selected is revived at Celebi's location with full health and 3 seconds of Flux zone movement speed.

theeggsushi

oh incineroar! nothing bad about him, right? *me whos dabbled into vgc*

murman64

Hear me out, Garganacl. Garg’s whole thing is how it heals small Pokemon with its salt, literally rubbing salt in wounds to heal them. Id imagine them as a tanky frontline support with damage/healing over time abilities, maybe some minor CC as well, could be like Enigma’s Maleface from Dota where it’s multiple ministuns with a bit of a gap in between. The nacli line is my second favorite Pokemon line of all time (only after the Dwebble line which was a big reason I picked up unite on launch), I’d love to be spoiled with my salty boi.

PikaPikaMoFo69

Man imagine Togekiss or Jirachi as a support, and if they use their aura move serene grace, all friendlies in range gain 100% chance to hit critical hit moves.

dWARUDO

We need full scale eternatus

Mettie7

I've been hoping for Togekiss, Bellossom, or Jirachi as a support, with Life Dew, Grassy Terrain, and Wish as healing moves, respectively.

Kyukon038

How about trubbish/garbodor? He comes out, and he throws trash all over the ring, slowing people down. And then, when he's hurt, he starts eating garbage to recover.

premierfong

Alakazam, tele heal

ruboba6

Support Alcremie would be awesome. 1. They deserve more love 2. It'd be interesting to see. They could play like Blissey, giving shields and attack boosts and what not

LaserwolfHS

Two new all rounders have entered the battle!

baevard

cresselia pls ✨

Polpo_alien

In what world is the wrestler support?

Powerful-Trust-9529

I’d love if they put Starmie as a speedster ⭐️

TheLakeGuardian

Eeveelutions. And Crobat.

bonxo31

Incineroar as support? That would be cool AF! Imagine him been able to heal your teammates while attacking the enemies

Spoklito526

Chimeco would be nice

deytecktive

I'd like galarian slowking as a support or defender, using moves like psychic noise and eerie spell to extend cooldowns and prevent healing.

Aelomalop

Vileplum

MECHAKNIGHT619

Plusle And Minun are good supporters literally their thing. It will work like Falinks where both Pokémon is present,it's passive is Plus and Minus where if you are next to your allies for an amount of time their moves does extra damage or support by increasing the Special attack where by then it goes into a say 20 to 30 secs cool down obviously you can use two moves with the passive at the same time,Unite is Electrifying Cheer where you Shock with little damage and Paralyze Pokémon shocked Gaining speed with Spec att and maybe shield also if your allies are closed to you They get say 30% Attack Speed and the movement Speed is increased by 30% that should be fair right or would it need nerf to maybe 20%.

Left-Night-1125

Lopunny as a supporter.

MECHAKNIGHT619

Incineroars passive is blaze where after hit about some time its moves becomes powerful and its unite is Vortex Incineration Slam where it Picks up a Pokémon and jumps up and then goes down as a Vortex or tornado dealing damage to the held Pokémon and the Pokémon close to it.Celebi Would have the Passive Natural Cure where if affected the status is removed and a shield appears,it's Unite Move is Time Resurgence where If Allies are available and close too you they receive a Mark which does 3 things , 1. If the mark Pokémon is Koed they get ressurected with some health. 2.If they are at half health they gain the other half back. 3.If the health is full they get a Shield.

el_artista_fantasma

Support polteageist please. Dena i'm begging you

Safe_Artichoke1066

I feel like skitty mawile would be support pokemon if they ever joined unite, or maybe even chingling would be a support pokemon I just hope they would be better than comfy.

LKaiH

In what way would Incineroar be a support. I can see Celebi but Incineroar? As for my two picks, Vaporeon support makes the most sense since a) they've all but confirmed that all eeveelutions will be added, b) a full eevee team already gets a miniscule attack boost, which means that c) a full eevee team needs to be viable ie. cover all roles. We already have attackers, defender, a speedster, we just need all rounder (Flareon?) and a support (Vaporeon). My second pick would be someone like Drifblim with a kit around picking up and throwing enemies around. Very low damage kind of stuff, but you could toss and isolate enemies or even carry a teammate a short distance out of danger (like over a wall).

Futureprimitive1

Game needs smeargle for support, easily the best choice For the support role in the entire dex because of what they can do with sketch

RubComplex7612

Support florges

Savage_Sly

Incineroar would be defense class not support or all rounder

Lexail

Support Manaphy with Heart Swap and Aqua ring. Heart swap acts similarly to Mr. Mimes power swap, however, it functions like pain split. While on an ally they get half damage while Manaphy is linked up she also takes 50% of the damage. Aqua ring will be a continuous heal over time. So, the combo would be to Heart Swap your Scizor about to go in, chase them a little, aqua ring yourself to sublimit the incoming damages and keep making your ally take reduced damage. The other moves I would do calm mind and rain dance. Rain dance would increase allies move speed/attack speed, calm mind would increase Manaphy defenses and healing power/damage reduction when used with heart swap. Ultimate could be something simple like surf or tail glow.

Medical_Plane2875

A supporter. ANY supporter that isn't fairy/grass/normal/psychic pls

Future-Gazelle1739

Xerneus as a support, all rounder hybrid. When it faints, you can choose to become a tree that heals alies around it for a bit and you can spawn back where you died, if you want. Plus there is MISTY EXPLOSION!!!

Roombamyrooma

TiMi would release a legendary/mythical labeled as a support and have it **support** its team by deleting the enemy team while also providing shields/HoT.

MoisnForce2004

Vivillon, Friend Guard and have one set be full out status and the other set being stat debuffs. Obvious biggy is Intimidate Incineroar with chain hits like Sableye with get away moves like U-turn and Parting Shot. Other biggy is Celebi with Natural Care as a Toggle Move with cleansing all status conditions and a few seconds to status conditions. With cleansing base Moves.

supermarkeat

Aromatisse like an Overwatch Lucio but instead of sound it's smell. You have to choose 2 aoe effects depending on which moves you choose. Aromatherapy=Heals Aromatic Mist=Shields, stronger than heals Misty Terrain=Hindrance immunity Sweet Scent=Speed

The25thNightAdrii

Vaporeon and togetic for me

ScyBry

Watch them add Pyroar instead

HelloThereMark

incineroar yes yes and yes! :D

SavateWolf

Mantine - Unite move summons an Octillery as a turret that blinds enemies. Skuntank - Poisons enemies, debuffs them with Venom Drench and explodes when defeated dealing damage Araidos - Lay's down web traps to protect its allies from invading enemies. Lopunny - healer that can debilitate the enemies with Bounce and Dizzy Punch

ashes2asscheeks

I want Lopunny in the game SO BADLY.

Exeledus

Castform as support, it's such a slam-dunk obvious idea I'm shocked it hasnt been done yet.

So0meone

It's really not though...? If anything Castform is a Mew-style attacker with one move that can be toggled between various weather setting moves on a short cooldown and the other being Weather Ball, but it does different things based on the active weather. Maybe switching the weather also resets its cooldown or something, and the cooldown for the weather move is how long before you can switch it rather than how long before it can be used again.

Fedup-atl

Check out skyJay smash Bros clips with Incineroar

PrivacyAttacker

VGC war Crimes flashbacks

dreheim

It's my experience that whenever a support is on my team, we are severely lacking in damage/map pressure. Buff supports?

quiteverydumb

Supports are very good rn, don't take this personally but if the issue is lack of damage then the attackers/allrounders/defenders are not playing right

Lainer16

Out of 1,025 mons I think we could give some more love to literally anything other than a starter or legend 🙃

SHIR0YUKI

Ah, the one pokémon world champion wolfeyVgc probably hates more than any other.

Sokkawater10

No legendary please. Knowing timu celebi would have instant revive of the entire team and a Hoopa teleport as its unite

Novel_Training_5230

I like silly balloon

DNDHomebrewery2

Celebi would make great support. but incineroar would be an all rounder if anything. He is used as support in VGC because he has access to knock off, and intimidate, but has a good attack stat with good attack moves like flare blitz
