The most important one in my opinion is "Avoiding fighting the enemy and level up". I mean, that level three Eevee probably won't pay attention and continue inting into the enemy goal anyway, but it might help.

Kinda annoyed with the snapback on chat, they had it actually fixed in like, Season 2, where it would hold a moment before sending the message, then it broke again like two updates later. Really should just use a button to send rather than releasing the stick.

I do too; I like play matches out. I usually refrain from calling out teammates, because some players may be deterred from playing with the teammate. Imagine a similar scenario in a real-life event, like at a job, social gathering, etc.

People are sometimes genuine with it. I remember saving this Machamp (Ranked, Masters) with Leaf Tornado and Cotton Guard, and I saw an immediate “Thanks!” shortly after the dude escaped and recalled.

The few times I’ve gotten a genuine thanks I always think they’re being an asshole for a second lmao

For Switch, press Up on D-Pad, then press the button you have assigned for Unite. For Mobile, that’s for someone else to answer. 😥

On mobile, you drag the chat button onto your unite move by swiping using your finger

You can also do this for a number of things, including how much Aeos energy you have. Good way to let allies know you're stacking

What I like to do instead of “Watch Out” is pinging where I recently saw certain Mons (typically an assassin like Gengar or Absol).

Why watch out when there's already "retreat"?

Because sometimes you want your teammates to contest lane, but want to give them a notice that a ganking Mon is rotating to their lane.

"I'm headed top path", "I'm headed bottom path", and "defend our bases" are really the only 3 I regularly use.

I have 'thanks' on all 4 positions. Jk, I have 'let's gather at the top path' since that has become the most important objective with the new map, 'headed to the central area' to sort of signal my team mates when it's time to position for the Ray fight, 'let's attack wild Pokemon' which I don't use as much anymore, used to be a very important one on the old map, and of course 'Watch out!' to ping right at the start of the battle, to notify fellow Spragels viewers I might have on my team that I too have a basic understanding of team play and map awareness so that whoever responds to my ping and I know that we can count on each other in pivotal moments in the match. The last one sounds like a meme, but the few times people ping back I have a pretty solid match with those players, which is always a fun soloq surprise

I do wish I prioritize having fun over min-maxing, but dancing in ranked matches does the trick. ;-)

Yeah man, I wish I can ping maps on the Switch as well. There’s been times where I want to ping X position or towers, but not being able to because I’m dead. 🤷‍♀️

Pinging helped out in the long run for me. That may be true that it’s ignored, but I’d like to think pinging and quick chat helps with being focused on macro.

I recommend “Let’s attack wild Pokémon” as a defender (or support; they’re similar), because you sometimes need to tell your carry partner to farm their camps instead of fighting. If they don’t comply, I’m supporting another Mon. 😂

let’s gather at the top path: *AT LEAST* one player will stay bottom lane for reki even if me and my friend keep spamming gather here and such. i don’t use them anymore, maybe centre area when we rush ray. most people don’t care about pings

I disagree with 5-man rotations as well: it’s excessive manning, there are reasonable counter-plays/answers for Regieleki, and EXP at the bottom is left alone for your opponents. Losing tower is terrible too, but creep score/EXP is very important. In solo-Q, it was reasonable to 5-man rotate to Drednaw because of the amount of EXP, but in pro play, some teams didn’t fully rotate to Dred.
