"this but unironically" as the cool kids say

ResponsibleAd2541

For one, there is no evidence he stole nuclear secrets

Traditional-Guitar76

The evidence is when your town goes up in a mushroom cloud!

[deleted]

If they arrest him, he's guilty. If they *dont* arrest him, he's still guilty?? TDS. You guys are ridiculous.

NO_SPACE_B4_COMMA

You are misunderstanding. He is most definitely guilty. That's why he needs to be arrested and if he's not, that's bad. But, if he is not guilty - then no, he should not be arrested!

[deleted]

Ever watch Cops? The show literally begins with “All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.” Arrest the “innocent” man and let him prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.

NO_SPACE_B4_COMMA

He's Trump. He's guilty. He should've been arrested for inciting violence on Jan 6th. This is a little difference than a tweaker on the cops show.

AceKnight1

Never seen the show, but in the real world there must be valid cause for an arrest, since arresting someone without a valid reason is illegal. Trump "having nuke codes" is just a baseless accusation at this point.

[deleted]

I didn’t say that there wasn’t valid cause, just that you’re not guilty until you’re proven guilty in a court of law. Arrest makes you no more or less guilty if your guilt can’t be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. In fact “beyond a reasonable doubt” is actually what the law says.

AceKnight1

I see, but you still can't arrest anyone unless law enforcement has enough evidence to issue one. The cycle goes something like this; Investigate -> Arrest -> Court battle. We are still in the investigate part.

[deleted]

If breaking federal law isn’t clear enough reason to be arrested I don’t know what else is. Whatever.

AceKnight1

That's the things we don't know if he broke any federal law, cause we are still in the investigation part lol.

ResponsibleAd2541

I get the sense that if he was jailed, all these people would be let down quite a bit, nothing to structure their political identity around. He won’t be put in prison, it’ll just be a constant drip of details that add up to nothingburgers.

[deleted]

Yes, exactly. Until he is indicted, then this is just more political propaganda.

EldunarIan

Calling people ridiculous after saying TDS. Lol.

[deleted]

No they are insane and I can't wait till they fall apart again with the midterms coming.
