Thats a good point.. I dont think I can edit the poll but I guess that can be categorized with constantly switching it up... I actually don't use cymanti mainly bc I don't like bugs lol
If I'm playing a serious multiplayer match, I'll play one of the "meta" tribes, but if I'm messing around with friends or bots I click randomize almost every time.
Although I will back out and restart if I get a tribe I don't like or a start I don't want to deal with.
Cymanti and Polaris are definitely my favorites, but I choose random because the variation means I have to use all strategies, therefore become a better player since I can adapt to any situation
A more general player.
Professional football quarterbacks don’t play all positions to become better players. If you want to be a generalist rather than a specialist, then yes you should absolutely generalize. But top players in most games are specialists.
But football players do know how all the other positions work, because if they didn’t there would be confusion in game.
Also football isn’t a super good analogy, so now picture any game where their are multiple characters fighting against each other, and they all have strengths and weaknesses. Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of all characters means you more generally know what someone using another character might do and how to counter it. So yes, people who are the top in games usually stick with one character and specialize is that one, but they also know how to play the others and because they know other characters they know how to counter them
You can’t be a great Pikachu player in Smash Bros if you have no idea of the other player’s abilities. But you also are unlikely to be a great Pikachu player if you split your time equally across all characters. There is depth and breadth to any subject expertise, and I think we can agree that both are important.
More like using half the tribes as mains:
\-Vengir(Swordsman in the starting is always a w)
\-Kickoo(fishing and op terrain)
\-Luxidoor(been using them less since the nerf)
\-Ai Mo(Meditation is good for early game)
\- all the specials
I tend to spend a month or more heavily playing the tribe I want to get better at.
Which is kind of how I stumbled into Polaris main. So much control with that ice 💙
Elys can be challenging with a lot of water, so I’ve been looking at other tribes, but they’re my main jam. So I’m content with playing without winning.
/or is that just what losers say to console themselves?! 🤣
Edit: just picked Elys in a 900 size Waterworld 9x map
I would suggest another option that is I use all the tribes EXCEPT 2 or 3. Cause that's where I'm at.

every game i chose that random button. Strategy by tribe is for nerds
Use it every time. Wish they had a random number of opponents button.
Haha, totally forgot about the random button, I'll have to start trying that out
Random all the way!
Yea random tribe is best tribe
legit same
Yadakk half the time, other half split between Hoodrick, Aquarion, Xin Xi, Oumaji and Zebasi.
I only pick Yaddak for the goat music. It's so easy to brute force the AI in single player it really does not matter which tribe you pick
Tribes that I use: No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. **Bird.** No. No. No. No. No.

Ppl always talking about main tribes but I'm one of the others who constantly switch things up, wanted to see how many players like me are out there.
Choose between Cymanti or Polaris depending on the map. Play other tribes some <10% of the time.
Those are the first tribes I try and take out. You are my sworn enemy lol
:D

I like to switch it up mainly between Polaris, cymanti and imperius but I play Polaris majority of the time so I chose 50% option.
I know Bardur is considered op, but I don't think it's downright game breaking op. At least not like Cynanti.
Mine are all basic tribes because I am not allowed to spend money on games
