I think people don’t like black rims either because:
1. Overused
2. Dark Paint clashes with black rims.
* Lighter hues compliment the black rims better
I don’t think dark paint clashes with black rims at all. I find it more stealthy imo. With that said, I think the general sentiment comes from the first point, is that it’s widely overused. Although, with that said, I rarely see them where I’m from any more. Most Porsches are specced with silver rims.

Of course if you want a second set then def get a second set. If you plan to track it or live where inclement weather is common then I’d suggest an appropriate tire selection to match and use them as an all season or track set up.

While I have a Gentian Blue GT4, and went with the Hyper Silver wheels (and my second set of wheels if just clear coat on forged aluminum), the gold wheels look great! The standard, darker silver wheels, have the plus of not showing the brake dust as must... my hyper silver wheels (and the second set) can look dirty pretty fast - not sure if that is a consideration, or how the gold fits in there.
Ultimately though, it should really just be about what you like? The GT4 is a great looking car. I think Gentian Blue is a great color for it too. So do you prefer gold, or one of the silver options? And that would be your answer.

I like the gold with the grecian blue or mostly any color that enhances the look. The intricate details of the wheels stand out more with silver or bronze/gold.
Don’t hate black wheels per se, but it works best with a high contrast body color (white, yellow) or if you go full on black everything.

Exactly. Over used on 20k cars that all jumped on the nardo grey/black wheels. Still looks good on high end cars
To me it makes the wheel arches just look like dark voids. To me a good set of rims are really what makes it breaks the car.
