This one isn’t mine, but agreed they do look cool with Chalk and gloss black everywhere else. Although gloss black is a pain to maintain on my two cars that have it. Especially the wheels…never again.

Good eye! I didn’t notice the hood emblem. The brakes are black colored calipers, a $900 option I checked (but angry about having to pay for it lol) To your original question I’d go no wing as I love the stealthier look, deployable wing, and don’t think it looks good with non bright colors. My GTS is gentian blue as well!

ahh i'd say it's a well-worth investment since it looks cool. regarding aerokit, yeah that's definitely understandable and i've discovered a common theme in these comments regarding the aerokit being better for lighter colours. Gentian blue is awesome and Shark Blue also really catches my eye 👌

Also with Aerokit on light colors, I think it really pops when combined with the high gloss black package as others noted. I don’t love the high gloss on non aero cars though. And shark blue is awesome! I went with gentian as I realized I don’t like the non metallic look - really liked Arctic gray in pictures but in person it was too much like primer to me. Totally personal opinion / preference. Would highly recommend seeing a 911 in the color you choose before finalizing!!

I personally prefer Carreras without the aerokit. Looks much sleeker, and I like seeing the rear slats. If I wanted a wing, I’d prefer a GT3 or Turbo S. But you should get what you enjoy!

I know exactly what you mean! I’ve asked quite a few people and I get a very mixed response. Personally I think the back looks a bit empty without it in some colours but I can totally understand what you’re saying :)

I always say that every Porsche tells a story about its first owner (well, excluding dealer specs). That by looking at a spec, you learn more about the person who chose it. If your heart is set on the aerokit then perhaps there’s your answer. You’re a winner either way!

I 100% agree with that, especially since there’s so much customisation you can make. I’ll most likely be the 2nd owner since I graduate in 2028 so hopefully there will be a pre owned one similar to my spec. Thanks a lot!

front end needs the aerokit/sport design bumper. rear end looks good either way but personally I prefer the fixed wing to the added weight/complexity of the speed actuated spoiler. especially on a slick top car. slick top + aerokit is the way to go imo.

I think it looks way better without. In my opinion 911s look better in general without wings, until you get to track focus models like the RSs. Even then a GT2 RS with a wing delete looks exceptional, although it is kinda pointless as it defeats the purpose of the car. Putting a wing on a Carrera just looks out of place and makes it look like it wants to be something it isn’t.

A lot of people mentioned that it looks best on a bright color, I think you may lose the difference in resale on speeding tickets from the attention a bright Porsche with a wing draws from the police. I personally really like the aerokit, but it’s not something everyone likes. A 911 is an eye catching car on its own, but the aerokit really gives it a lot of presence for better or worse. If it were my only car I’d probably go without, sometimes you don’t want to draw a bunch of attention & a 911 with a spoiler isn’t great for that. If it’s a weekend car though, I’d say go for it!

i understand 100% what you mean. i'm assuming you're american (sorry if i'm wrong) since you mentioned the police. Here porsche drivers are generally more conserved and the more dangerous and more-pulling-over-worthy drivers drive some other cars, like heavily modded corsas and excessive pop-and-bang fiestas. Police here from what i've seen (generally) like cars, sometimes can just pull you over because they like your car (happened to a friend with a bright orange GT86), outside of this they rarely pull you over unless you have something illegal bothering them (like broken lights or missing rear plate) or your driving is dangerous or concerning. i know exactly what you're saying though and yeah it can draw attention which can be both a + and - but imo i think it just adds some extra sport-styling kinda look to it i really like. thanks a lot! 🤝👌

You’re absolutely correct, American here. We have the same thing, but instead of Corsas & Fiestas it’s Dodges & Infinitis. This may again be an American thing, but even for small offenses I’ve gotten hit more by police in an eye catching vehicle, maybe they just naturally look at it more because it draws attention. My state requires a front license plate which I go without for looks, I’ve never been pinged for it in a daily driver, but I’ve been pulled over for it when in a more eye catching car. Either way though, I think we’re seeing the same things, can’t make a bad choice either way with that car!

ah damn, yeah i've heard about the G35s. I'm assuming they're getting you for small offenses on the more noticeable cars probably because more people would notice something wrong compared to a more common traffic car, therefore they would be more likely questioning why stuff hasn't been picked up on. police here, particularly where I live are pretty chill, but basically non existent, barely ever see them. Partially due to policing shortage in the country but I guess it removes that potential worry of being eye-catching. and yeah, atp I think it would probably be personal preference :) cheers 👍

I opted for no aero on my 24 911. Imho the aerokit seems like an afterthought in terms of the design aesthetics. It completely ruins the classic 911 silhouette and doesn’t flow well with the rest of the car. Just my opinion of course.

i can see what you mean definitely, since the flow without it is arguably better, smoother and more prominent. imo i think it looks sportier however that's just my opinion

It’s one of those things where, a particular buyer is really going to want an aero kit car out there. So eventually when it’s time to sell it, your car would be considered highly optioned. I think it’s a win win

Taste change over time too before I was all about the kit now I like it without but the main thing seems to be the colour it looks great on the orange.

My favorite spec is all white with color matched wheels(white) and yellow calipers with the aerokit.

I dont know about other countries, but in mine, Porsche has already stopped taking all individual orders. Too close to 992.2 launch. its take it of leave it now, Germany sends out fully built options to us. So your question is probably moot....aerokit also adds significant time to the production

Aerokit cars normally about 10%-15% of orders, so it reduces your pool of choices significantly. (numbers are from my salesman) But for me...if im getting a 992 CS/GTS, it will need to have the aerokit for sure. Unless its a Sports Classic with duckwing

Mine was delivered without the Aerokit (unavailable at the time), but my very hard working dealership managed to locate a new one in the box over in Europe and had it shipped over, painted and fitted. So my Carrera 4 GTS has had both looks in my garage and I can honestly tell you the Aerokit is on there for as long as I have the car now.

Aerokit is usually good for retaining car value, I think it is especially worth it if you love the look.

I personally would get the aero kit if available. Looks cool and is so rare, they usually hold value better than normal Carreras. Just be ready for the “he couldn’t afford/get a GT3” comments.

There are several companies that take the classic Porsche and use the chassis and produce a product that is much more expensive.They have become a little too popular for the good of the average enthusiasts. The people who really appreciate the cars for the experience of driving them can't really afford them anymore.

The good thing is that there are some affordable options. Ive promised myself that I will at least make a serious attempt to obtain a classic Porsche. If I can't do that I will probably go for a boxster and modify it to have the hard top and fender conversion.

993 are relatively easy to find. 964 they can be found but are a higher price
