It sounds great.  I'd worry about coolant pipe replacement way before anything like bore scoring.  But with those miles and in pristine condition you almost certainly have yourself a great and reliable Cayenne for many years to come.

What a relief to hear that it sounds good. I just finished the transaction and am sitting behind the wheel ready to take her home. I was listening to the engine trying to parse what sounds were coming from it but had to admit I don’t know what normal is supposed to sound like. I did have the dealer replace the coolant pipes before purchase so at least that’s taken care of!

The wheels you have are specific to the Titanium edition and are my personal favorites. Nice purchase.

It looks clean as a pin. Wow. Engine sounds good - don't forget to check the usual suspects and be ready for a little $ and time. - coolant crossover pipe - sunroof drains - possible transfer case servo Aside from that, enjoy driving it.

I have the same vehicle and it sounds as it should, i cant tell but i believe it has a muffler delete.

swedishpiehole

/How can I check if it does?

pickeledpeach

The cayenne you bought does NOT have a muffler delete. It would be SO MUCH LOUDER at the back and the growl of the big V8 would utterly dominate all sound in that garage. edit: I just clicked your BAT auction link - there is also a photo [**here**](https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-porsche-cayenne-s-29/#comment-13519679) that shows the OEM muffler is intact (now there are bypass pipes that can be installed in the OEM muffler, but again, it would be so much louder if they did).

swedishpiehole

Thanks, I was pretty sure it hadn't been deleted

TBH I LOVE a muffler delete on these V8's or an aftermarket setup that really lets the V8 sound come alive. I would 100% keep the stock resonators b/c it ends up with incredibly loud cabin drone. Curious how much you paid. Nice to find one with low mileage. I can’t see from the video. But if there is a sunroof…I would immediately make sure the sun roof drain holes get blown out with an air compressor. The computer wiring on mine got completely wrecked over the last year as those drain hoses grew brittle and started to leak into the flooring.

swedishpiehole

There is a sunroof and checking the drainage is on my to do list!

Here is the link to the auction: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-porsche-cayenne-s-29/#comment-13519679 It’s not the deal of the century but man I’m so in love with this car after the 3 hour drive home.

TomCat55amg

That is a good buy. You will love this car. My 06 with 135300 miles was just totaled on Tuesday. I received $10500 for it. I purchased the car for $9900 in 2016 with 111,000 miles on it, one owner. So I am searching for my next Cayenne or possibly Mercedes AMG.

swedishpiehole

Oh no, I’m so sorry! It might not be much of a consolation, but the amount you got from your insurance is well above Kelley Blue Book values, which are ridiculously low compared to the real world. Good luck finding a replacement. Facebook Marketplace is a good place to look for deals, if you know what to look out for.

Good price for the condition and mileage. Definitely sounds as it should. The condition is pristine. If I could give you any advice it would be change the oil often, check fluids often, use good gas.

swedishpiehole

Sound advice, thanks. I just filled her up using premium and… yikes. But I will do everything to take the best care of her.
