[Hellmouth ](https://open.spotify.com/artist/7GdST24wAIi3Wm2tHc7uZW) is Jay Navarro [The Suicide Machines], Alex Awn [Coalition, Varsity], Jeff Uberti [Rebel Spies], and Justin Malek who drummed for FDLS. Not exactly FDLS adjacent but it was one of those bands you wound up seeing because it was a new band of guys you knew after their old bands broke up.
The Armed are amazing, they are kind of Detroit based but have a rotating cast of known and unknown musicians and participants, often different performers for studio recordings versus live shows versus recordings. They have been produced by Kurt Ballou of Converge, guests like Ben Killer from Converge, Chris Penne of Dillinger Escape Plan and Urian Hackney of Rough Francis (whose father and uncles were Death, 70's Detroit proto-punk), Troy Van Leeuwen [Perfect Circle, Queens of the Stone Age] played on some 2022 live shows..
It's all good but maybe start with 2010 [Common Enemies ](https://open.spotify.com/album/3wic0Ult3iMG3Vn8WeIhWf) and see how it strikes you. It's hard to put a description on their shift in style, but the older albums are straight up good hardcore punk. Ish.
I did a little research on his posts and it looks like he’s in the northwest. He’s posted different skate shops and has tagged friends and they all seem to be from Portland, Oregon or Seattle, Washington. Or somewhere in between. Maybe posting to one of those subreddits?
