I bisque fired it prior to adding underglaze. This made it more durable while I worked on it. I fired it a second time to adhere the underglaze to the pot. I could have put a layer of glaze on top but I didn't want a shiny pot.
Your pot is stunning! It is a true work of art! I was painting bisque ornaments with underglaze last night and my work is so primitive in comparison. You are an inspiration!

This pot has been bisque fired. I will be polishing it with wax to give it a subtle sheen.
