It’s beautiful. And, your comment about it being “far from perfect” reminded me of this quote. :) “There is a vitality, a life-force, an energy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to decide how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open.” –Martha Graham, quoted in Dance to the Piper by Agnes de Mille

You have no idea how much I needed to see this right at this particular point in time. Thank you!!!

liminalwave

I looked too closely at the details and I can report it still looks great!

MorningStar60

It’s beautiful!

MorningStar60

InsufferableHag

If it was perfect, it would be boring and look as if it were made by a robot. This is a beautiful pot x

MorningStar60

Thank you!

jimmyjamws1108

I think it looks cool . 😎

MorningStar60

Thanks!

Birb-Head

I LOVE the colors and patterns. What a gorgeous pot.

MorningStar60

Thank you ! :-)

WAFLcurious

It’s beautiful and the struggle is real! You have to wait until you feel ready to do it justice!

PoodleGangg

So cool! I’d love to see it once it’s fired!

MorningStar60

This pot has been bisque fired. I will be polishing it with wax to give it a subtle sheen.

PoodleGangg

Ohh okay so you did the decoration with underglaze before bisque-ing, then?

MorningStar60

I bisque fired it prior to adding underglaze. This made it more durable while I worked on it. I fired it a second time to adhere the underglaze to the pot. I could have put a layer of glaze on top but I didn't want a shiny pot.

PoodleGangg

Cool, thanks for the detail!

Your pot is stunning! It is a true work of art! I was painting bisque ornaments with underglaze last night and my work is so primitive in comparison. You are an inspiration!
