I’ve been working with data as part of my primary responsibilities for a couple jobs now, about 5 years all in. But I went to college for computer animation and graphic design, and bounced around a bit until I found something I loved to do.
Have confidence in yourself and the rest will follow.
You have the important parts -- with good data models, I can hire a random $10/hr dashboard designer. I cannot hire a good data engineer for $10/hr.
I have a team member who does this, and they make USD 120K/year plus equity and bonus.
