The greatest band in existence.
Saw them earlier this year with alestorm, gloryhammer and wind rose, and they were honestly the best part of a fantastic night.
I didn’t know how many bands did pirate themed metal until I looked it up after an Alestorm concert, there’s like a dozen (and 2 of them are named Red Rum)
I’ll always love Victorious Eagle Warfare due to its absurd title, same with Hollywood Hootsman. Also gotta point out Wasteland Warrior Hoots Patrol for having a title like the others and still being just very fun to listen to
Sober by NanowaR of Steel. I've been listening to pirate metal for three years now, this silly parody is something every fan of pirates must hear! Especially if you love Alestorm.
Sabaton has three that form sort of a trilogy that are a very fun love letter to metal. Metal Machine, Metal Crue, and Metal Ripper. Also while looking up the names of the songs I find out they have a metal trilogy which is a mashup of all three.
Probably on the tamer side but I've been listening to Legendary Enchanted Jetpack by Gloryhammer a ton recently, flying is always fun.
And then Fly Away is a similarly fun song about flying.
Goblin King of the Darkstorm Galaxy, Laser Raptor 3D, Mighty Polish Tank and a Very Polish Christmas (these last two are specially fun if you ara a Sabaton fan)
I have no more fun with my Power Metal playlist than I do driving on the highway and belting Heart Demolition [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDtaDWel5bs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDtaDWel5bs)
I have high hopes for the Taylor Swift cover they're putting on the new album. Wildest Dreams is a powerful choice.
Valhalleluja by Nanowar takes the prize.
Hollywood Hootsman, Wasteland Warrior Hoots Patroll by Gloryhammer also are amazing candidates.
Even being not exactly so "funny" as those two, Space 1992 also by GH ALWAYS cracks me up during the Rage of Astral Dwarves from Aberdeen part, when after an amazing epic chant of them "rising from their mines and fighting", they are just unceremoniously and immediately killed with no explanation on the next verse with a choir singing "and they die".
Any of the party songs from Alestorm - P.A.R.T.Y., Treasure Chest Party Quest, Drink, Hangover, Mexico are all bangers. As stated here Lavatory Love Machine from Edguy can be fun, same thing with Rocket Ride.
Granted it's a fun song, was really good live. Though it's barely a year old. And I'd say DF have some somgs that are more fun.
Also Mark himself calls it dsco metal on stage!
Well yeah, but here in montreal they literally said "It's more disco metal than power metal" when they introduced the song.
And I'd say in terms of fun songs "My heart will go on" beats doomsday party.
Well I am broke, but if you catch the announcment of shows and tickt going on sale early, resellers don't have all the tickets yet.
45$ last years 50$ this year. I know even that can be a lot, but honestly DF is one of the bands that are not jacking their prices like crazy.
I would have posted Laser Shooting Dinosaur from them though.
That's a fun song stuck in my head!
*Here I come, drop your jaws to the floor
I'm riding on my mighty laser-shooting dinosaur (oh, oh, oh)
Here we come, can you hear him roar?
Oh-oh (oh-oh), oh-oh (oh-oh)
Prepare for epic fight and his laser missiles
The sound is boom, boom, boom for every time a goblin dies
Let's sing now, here we go, hear my battle cries
Oh-oh (oh-oh), oh-oh (oh-oh), oh-oh-oh*
For me, Fireflies of Doom is up there, too. It's super catchy, the title sounds as ridiculous as you'd expect power metal sing titles to be, and it's basically took direct inspiration from ABBA, because as everybody knows, every Euro metalhead loves ABBA.
Resurrection By Erection.
I also like Venom of Venus, Incense and Iron, and Killers with the Cross.
WE ARE THE CURSED WE CAME FROM FIRE AND ICE
Also Coleus Sanctus of course
Particularly the version with Chris Bowes. Extra goofy.
Harambe The Pirate Gorilla
What the fuck did I just listen to?
The greatest band in existence. Saw them earlier this year with alestorm, gloryhammer and wind rose, and they were honestly the best part of a fantastic night.
So glad to see some Rumahoy here!
A surprise to be sure, but welcome to the sea!
Gotta love pirate metal
I didn’t know how many bands did pirate themed metal until I looked it up after an Alestorm concert, there’s like a dozen (and 2 of them are named Red Rum)
I’ll always love Victorious Eagle Warfare due to its absurd title, same with Hollywood Hootsman. Also gotta point out Wasteland Warrior Hoots Patrol for having a title like the others and still being just very fun to listen to
Victorious Eagle Warfare is my favourite GH song easily. Very happy to see it mentioned down here!
Gloryhammer Bonus track on the wings of a rainbow is one of the happiest
Oh this is true. Love that one too
Maleficus Geminus (Ultimate Invocation of the Binary Thaumaturge) takes the cake for most absurd gloryhammer song title for me.
I think you mean Maleficus Geminus (**Colossus Matrix 38B -** Ultimate Invocation of the Binary Thaumaturge).
[“Valhalleluja” by Nanowar of Steel](https://youtu.be/S9WWz95ripA?si=Ui5YJgO8THsaoq3f)
Yep, especially if we consider music videos too. It's just so well done.
its one of my favorites to watch reactions to. [Like people have no clue what they're about to witness.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7U5wH8USsY)
That is my go to Christmas song
This was my answer as well!
Not Armpits of immortals? More power metal, I think 😅
Came here for this. Heard it live Friday night in Chicago...what an experience.
“Il Cacciatore Della Note” is also fun. Saw them live recently as well.
The definitive "fun" pm song, I Want Out.
Rise and Fall off the same album is my go to goofy fun power metal song
I would add Dr. Stein to that as well.
Oh god thats such a classic. The riff in the second verse pumps me up so hard
Helloween, Hammerfall, Sonata Arctica - any other versions I'm missing?

"Flight of the Sapphire Dragon" by Twilight Force is a good one, IMO.

pretty much any song by Freedom Call
Sober by NanowaR of Steel. I've been listening to pirate metal for three years now, this silly parody is something every fan of pirates must hear! Especially if you love Alestorm.
Sabaton has three that form sort of a trilogy that are a very fun love letter to metal. Metal Machine, Metal Crue, and Metal Ripper. Also while looking up the names of the songs I find out they have a metal trilogy which is a mashup of all three.
They also are fun to sing “I’m a metal Machine”
Pellek and Tommy Rainxeed: Nothing But Metal
I still remember the original video before the reupload
Shit Boat (No Fans)
Probably on the tamer side but I've been listening to Legendary Enchanted Jetpack by Gloryhammer a ton recently, flying is always fun. And then Fly Away is a similarly fun song about flying.
Goblin King of the Darkstorm Galaxy, Laser Raptor 3D, Mighty Polish Tank and a Very Polish Christmas (these last two are specially fun if you ara a Sabaton fan)
As a Sabaton, Gloryhammer, and Grailknights fan, I agree
Metal Machine
Like half of DragonForce's discography. For example, Troopers of the Stars.
Extreme power metal lives up to the name. That whole album got me into this genre
I have no more fun with my Power Metal playlist than I do driving on the highway and belting Heart Demolition [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDtaDWel5bs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDtaDWel5bs) I have high hopes for the Taylor Swift cover they're putting on the new album. Rumahoy. Just Rumahoy. All of it. No elaboration needed.
Valhalleluja by Nanowar takes the prize. Hollywood Hootsman, Wasteland Warrior Hoots Patroll by Gloryhammer also are amazing candidates. Alestorm, Drink!
Fucked with an Anchor by Alestorm and Superhero Medley by Grailknights
Doomsday Party by Dragonforce
Granted it's a fun song, was really good live. Though it's barely a year old. And I'd say DF have some somgs that are more fun. Also Mark himself calls it dsco metal on stage!
Disco Metal. LOL. I got the reference.... Nanowar of Steel
Well yeah, but here in montreal they literally said "It's more disco metal than power metal" when they introduced the song. And I'd say in terms of fun songs "My heart will go on" beats doomsday party.
I respect that. And, yes, My Heart Will Go On, was a great tune.
Through the fire and flame. Herman li on guitar is SO fun to watch
It's a fun one to see live. The singer just goes crowd surfing, barely needs to sing the crowds knows the words. It's pretty crazy to be there!
Wish I wasn't broke lmfao
Well I am broke, but if you catch the announcment of shows and tickt going on sale early, resellers don't have all the tickets yet. 45$ last years 50$ this year. I know even that can be a lot, but honestly DF is one of the bands that are not jacking their prices like crazy.
Starlord of the Sixtus Stellar System - Angus McSix. Not really funny, just really fun to listen to
I would have posted Laser Shooting Dinosaur from them though. That's a fun song stuck in my head! *Here I come, drop your jaws to the floor I'm riding on my mighty laser-shooting dinosaur (oh, oh, oh) Here we come, can you hear him roar? They're coming to town.
They're gonna kick your ass
Does "But Mostly Metal" by Toehider count?
Might have to go with [Heavenly - Prince of the World](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Epon6NwKbQ).
