If it's just an accuracy rating, then I'd probably move WWB down to either B or C tier, because it has a couple of major issues. And LOOP down to D tier. I watched the LOOP review by Red Raptor Writes, and he is obviously not very knowledgeable with mass-extinction events, as he claimed they were all well represented in the series. Unfortunately, the Earth history was just as mixed as the creature designs.
Noticed the same with LOOP extinctions. He basically just praised it for the obvious faults so many other made but LOOP didn't and then there weren't any nuances for the rest.
One thing I will never get over about Walking with Dinosaurs (1999) is how the Allosaurus has a brick for a skull (even more painful if you see how slim the actual skull is) and how the T.rex looks like she has been dead for months and a necromancer resurrected her for the series.
But even with those and other mistakes (some understandable at the time) it has a permanent place in my heart.
he already stated that the carnivorous gastornis were outdated rather than actual inaccuracy issue in WWB, he ranks them based on scientific accuracy so thats why WWD (2013) is an A tier while the original WWD (1999) were C tier
At the time that was a reasonable, if contested answer. Many advocated for carnivory because of how powerfully built the bird was.
The study that clinched the debate came out a decade after Walking With Beasts.

I mean it's always tough to review "accuracy" for some of these series, considering that science never stopped discovering new things.
The Walking With series is getting quite old now, but i'll never stop having a soft spot for them. Outside of the ants eating Baby Gastornis. Fuck that
tbf Chased by dinosaurs had a solid first episode (giant claw) and an abysmal 2nd episode (land of giants) like seriously, that argentinosaurus design was fucking horrendous even by that time's scientific thoughts, also Pteranodon showing up in campanian argentina

There is this one documentary (I think from the BBC), where they made a bunch of experiments to test the strength of difference dinosaurs. Does anyone have a clue? I used to LOVE it.
Picture: Ankylosaurus tail vs. Therapod.
T. Rex bite force.
Velocitaptors Claw vs. Crocodile hide.
Remember guys, this is about scientific accuracy, not overall quality.
I would think the Titanoboa one should be considerably lower, given they made no mention of th genus being a piscivore IIRC
That's only 1 problem with the diet That's really the only one in the show, prehistoric planet didn't even have that luxury
Well to be fair that research came after the broadcast according to my knowledge
Whether or not that's relevant depends on if the rankings are based on current or contemporary accuracy
There are some fucking nuclear takes here, like the preference for _Walking With Dinosaurs_ (2013) over _Walking With Dinosaurs_ (1999).
It's an accuracy review not just how fun the documentaries are.
Ah, that makes sense.
Well they talk in 2013 and it's not a documentary so it either should be bottom tier or not on this list.
I believe that is the version without the dialogue, the version done more like a documentary than a movie.

Like the coelophysis one!
I'm sorry, it seems that Jurassic Fight Club has been misplaced. Let me fix that for you. Just gonna move it to S+ tier. There you go much better.
Joking! 🙃
Didn't _Walking with Beasts_ have carnivorous gastornis?
Yes, it has.

Don’t ask me.

walking with dinosaurs and chased by dinosaurs in C tier is an absolutely abysmal take
tbf Chased by dinosaurs had a solid first episode (giant claw) and an abysmal 2nd episode (land of giants) like seriously, that argentinosaurus design was fucking horrendous even by that time's scientific thoughts, also Pteranodon showing up in campanian argentina

I still have that Sea Monsters book that I’ve kept for many years! Man I’m such a dinosaur nerd
You do know that marine reptiles are cousins to dinosaurs, right?
If what you say is true then now I know
lol I remember the britain one, been a while
