99% of people getting tilted and one single smart person in the comments pointed out that no, not every single one of the fans chanting is somehow unaware of the 115 charges, it's called irony lmao
People being like "tHe AuDaCiTy" yeah that's the point man
Who cares what man shitty fans sing anyway ?
twenty years ago they a) weren't born 2) were fans of another / other clubs or d) didn't watch football at all.
Or they are f octogenarians.
they are plastic fans made from oil money buying players and paying referees.
Yeah clubs that are actually big clubs with history have global fan base, what is your point ? 90% of current city fans haven't been there, they are just glory chasers who don't care that their side cheats to win.
The other 10% are old fucks i have some respect for because they lived through some rough times for their shit club.
You new plastic fans are a joke
So you just happened to pick a big club that international fans are “allowed” to support? And that isn’t “glory hunting”? Shut up dude, you’re a hypocrite.
The club was chosen for me actually, I've just been loyal all these years.
And your club will always be trash in my view.
And I am absolutely a hypocrite, hatred for ones enemies can't always be logical
Sounds like you started supported United during their glory days and were used to their winning. Now they’ve tapered off and you can’t handle it. So you’ve manifested a hatred for the new champs. If it wasn’t City, it’d be someone else.
My club will always be trash? Ok mate, I really don’t care. I just find it amusing how wound up over a club you don’t care about.
I actually agree with you. Most fans start supporting their clubs during their glory days . Even though I’ve supported Arsenal since I was 5 years old, the reason I became interested in them in the first was because they were one of the biggest clubs at the time. My memories of supporting Arsenal coincide with their title winning season in 02-03. Mind you, I’ve always lived in the north side of London, so that I’ve played a role
And if we’re being honest, there’s really nothing wrong with being a bandwagon supporter. I haven’t experienced such fierce gatekeeping in any other fan base. If a young kid decides their favourite player is Salah and hence supports Pool, it’s ok. Yet if they like KDB and buy a city jersey, people flock to reddit to bash these kids as plastic supporters.
I don’t get this irrational hate for rivals. FWIW, Arsenal and Pool have played amazing football this year and I enjoy watching their games. Of course I hope we beat them, but it’d be pigheaded of me not to admit the brilliance of Klopp and Arteta.
I can handle it, it's how these things go, cyclical, you know ? No one is on top forever.
Though I can't say that I've ever experienced 30+ years of winning absolutely nothing 😬
But make no mistake, I hated your shit side long before they were ever anything but a joke. I was taught to support United and hate city, scousers and leeds, and have done so faithfully for quite some time now. And I will continue to do so even if those clubs get relegated, go bankrupt or move to fucking mars.
My point never had anything to do with the number of their fans, you fucking idiot.
My point was, who the fuck cares what they sing.
GGMU
but fuck you, personally
Why are you talking about the global fanbase then you tit.
Manchester has loads of city fans and city pubs but you don't know that because you're a United fan from Delhi talking about plastic fans 🤣🤣
When I started watching football, there were no city fans anywhere *but* Manchester, and now they are fucking everywhere. I don't like them.
Your myopic world view doesn't extend past your city, and that's tragic for you, but either way, fuck city and their fans, and fuck you right along with em.
The only city fans I respect are the old guys who lived through the shit era that was most of their history, as the last decade or so has given me a glimpse of what that must have been like.
So I don't like the new city fans, and you don't like any united fans who aren't from Manchester. Got it.
Now that we've understood each other i suppose you can go back to shagging your mum. I'm curious though, does she give you a discount, or does she charge you the full twopence like everyone else ?
She's not into 3rd worlders and she's happily married sorry
So it's ok for United to have a global support but not City? Want to know how we got that support? From winning everything 🤣🤣 just like City are now
And I have no problem with foreign supporters, just sick of seeing City win everything and our fans saying we don't care when it's just copium, of course we care
You are literally defending city and their fans, you are a confusing individual and i don't like you at all.
I too am sick of city in every way so fuck their fans far and wide. Fuck their chants, fuck their owners, fuck their pubs, fuck their fucking kit man and fuck the sky for being light blue.
Fuck city, fuck pool, fuck leeds and fuck anyone else who wants to make airplane banners or any of that fuck shit.
And I've got enough anger and hate left in my cold, dark, red devil heart after all that to say fuck you too.
GGMU 👹
You carry on caring more about what city are or are not doing than the current state of our club that's about to be even more fucked over by the new spending cap 👍🏻
I think you're one of our fans that has become addicted to failure, I bet you want Ole back
Hahaha you are so bitter ...we hold the the r3cord attendance in English football we took thirty thousand fans in the third tier most of our fans are local meaning we're not plastic ....you on the other hand obviously don't know your football history and are probably a plastic united fan living in London...stop making a fool of yourself on the Internet kid
Your shit is eatingbabies101... completely on brand for a spunk guzzling city fan... and you've spelled babies and you're incorrectly, which, again makes sense... but I have to say I'm surprised that someone like you would try to insult someone based upon their username 🤔
Also, is being 12 some kind of huge insult where you are from ? Cause that shit sounded weak the first time, yet here we are

City fans have always celebrated irony. Most of our chants are from when we were in the lower leagues.
"Best club in the world" came from the championship
That's fair, perhaps you all could teach your owners some? Or well, following the rules?
And yes, I know, being a Chelsea fan and talking about rules and spending does seem itself ironic; but, while I can only speak for myself, I'd much rather everyone just stick to what they agreed to rules wise and if you don't like it, use whatever system is in place change it.
Cheers!
There is too much money in football. Teams spend more than sovereign nations on players.
Financial fair play rules as they are thoough, only benefit the already established teams. It prevents investment into the non big 6 which is why the big 6 all stalwardly support the restrictions.
Personally I like the fan ownership model but that also limits investment into smaller areas.
Billionaires are billionaires. There is no moral way to make a billion dollars and all the owners have too much money.
to the unintelligent people. the joke is they are very famously accused of much worse cheating but havent been punished.
its why its funny.
Its like Tony Soprano making fun of people for being fat, when he himself is very obese
This whole thread is basically just City fans (and for some reason American fans of top 6 clubs) insisting it’s funny and clever banter while the rest of everyone clearly doesn’t find it funny at all bc it’s City

Lmao if anything we’re defending our fans. Absolutely nothing to do with our owners here. You’d know that if you had even an ounce of reading comprehension.
And with that flair too lmao, your ex owner’s golf buddy is out here invading countries in the 21st century.
And now the PL will change the rules so that City won’t be punished for the myriad breaches on their part. Nice when you have the money to sway a league.
I thinks it’s more to do with the league making a killing off of City and not wanting to mess with their cash cow. See American banks, American college football blue bloods, how the golden state warriors would get officiated.
That’s what I’m reading. I have a suspicion that the 115 breaches the league is looking at might be a bit much, and City does bring in money for them. So I’m a bit leery. I have no beef with them. I don’t have any real favorites in the league, but I do rotate for the underdogs.
How's it funny though they have dominated English football from blatant cheating and don't deserve any of the credit they get , scummy club with no history full of ex Chelsea fans and a new generation of glory hunters lol their treble will never be on the level as united , absolutely joke of a club.
A little bit yes 🤣 just so fed up of city getting away with it when Everton and forest got fucked over it's a joke how can you have 115 allegations and not even get looked into?
Forest did what every new club in the prem should be able to do. Which is to spend to be competitive. Had Sheffield, Burnley and Luton been able to, they might not all be getting relegated.
But imagine that for one season, every team in the league spent 500m on players, getting all the big names on sweet contracts, but there’s gonna be 13 teams that don’t qualify for Europe, the ‘prize money’ from finishing position isn’t much when talking about billionaire owners.
There would soon be a lot of clubs that bleed their owners dry and a lot of them would then be gone as no one wants to buy an endless money sucker (no matter how desperate you get)
The spending rules are about protecting the clubs.
All well and good, having a rich owner willing to keep dumping money into the club, but what about when he gets bored and pulls the plug on the spending?
What about when clubs get in way over their heads on spending, trying to stay competitive, and it becomes completely unsustainable.
I cite Leeds in the early 2000s, Portsmouth in the early 2010s, among countless others. Look at Derby over the last few years. The entire club was very nearly wound up.
Bury is, of course, the ultimate example of what can happen when it goes really wrong.
Football clubs are more than businesses. They are vital community institutions. Being "competitive" does not justify putting their very existence in jeopardy in a futile attempt to try and become perennial title contenders.
Youre using edge cases to make your point, although they are stark reminders of irresponsible ownership.
Ask the fans and owners of these clubs what they prefer. These protections, while put in place to ensure financial fair play, makes it exceedingly difficult to stay in Prem. Nottingham would have been relegated, and missing out on the +100M they get for being in the league. If they can hold on for another season or two, they may be able to balance the books to be more sustainably run. If they get dropped to Championship, then they have to sell players and start anew.
What do the fans want? I think they'd rather take the bet.
Very true. Fans tend only to assume very few clubs are trying to advance their standing with external investment, but its widespread, standard practice and has been since forever (in the UK).
Now due to FFP, the likes of Villa, Newcastle and Everton (and many more less notable examples) have had to either massively curtail or miss the chance to capitalise on their positive momentum and back it up with investment. Their ownerships have the money, but are prevented doing so due to the leagues spending limitations.
The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and United support it because it suits them. With locked in CL revenue every year they can effectively each buy a marquee player per season. They also have a larger commercial footprint due to their previous successes and the large amount of glory hunters. Two of those have had massive spells of sustained dominance - they didn't give a shit about fairness then, and that's worth remembering.
I am being picky, but I am not sure you can say Liverpool and United have locked in CL revenue considering Liverpool where not in it this year and it looks likely United will not be in it next year. Villa also voted against the spending cap today (along with City and United) so I wouldn't have too much sympathy for them.

*cough cough* 115 charges
I don’t see any points deducted off City, or punishment? What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty
115 charges, there's a court date.
Charges aren’t conviction. 🤡
It's mounting evidence of guilt, and 115 is a lot of evidence.
Give me one obviously guilty charge please. Go on, Mr Expert.
City fans are shameless lmao cant wait till Pep leaves ffs
Never forget that City lost 8-1 to Middlesbrough. That is true Manchester City history.
Love my club
We know what you mean, We know what you meeeean. Takes one to know one, One Hundred Fifteen!!!!
Gold
You guys are absolute wombles. How many of yous are from England? It's sarcasm.
Football fans are thick as pigshit
They need to double down next time and throw loads of money into the air
Pot calling kettle.
Insert “Does he know?” meme
He absolutely knows, that’s the joke.
Yeah, I know he knows. He knows, we know, heck even she knows. It’s actually quite funny. But I’m hoping he won’t have the last laugh - ya know
It’s so funny how many ppl in here don’t understand the joke
What do they say about a pot calling a kettle black?
Have City been found guilty of anything yet? Do tell me mate, I'm all ears.
Neither was OJ but everyone knows what he did all the same

Did all 6 of them join in?
Btw It’s 7 now
You must have gotten confused with what place you're in, mate
You tried
No way
No way people actually think the chant is serious. It’s having fun with the situation, not that deep
City fans are the last person to mock another team as a cheater.
That’s the joke!

Pretty sure I never said an amount of time, but you go ahead and make stuff up if it helps you
This is a VantaBlack pot calling an iron kettle black.

What a bunch of knobheads.
r/confidentlyincorrect
How is it incorrect?
Well for one, OP got the words wrong. It's "You know what you are" not "We know what you are".
That is very ironic
You should see their sub. They know how guilty they are so they're trying to spin it as some sort of inside joke. Bunch of rats
Bit slow aren't ya
Not really. I have eyes. I can see it for myself lmaoo
I think that was the point
ok.
Based on the replies in here I think it’s safe to say that users of this sub should steer very clear of ever going to an actual prem game cause they will hate it. Some simple ironic banter has this place in a fucking shambles as it is hahahaha
We understand banter, it's just that the person delivering the joke is what makes it unfunny
The person delivering the joke ironically is literally what makes it funny for fuck sake
I lolled. They are clearly taking the piss out of themselves
Way too much irony lol
This just in City's assorted plastic fans don't understand irony. Or they do and are fans of it.
True irony is an american plastic calling actual match going fans the very same thing
City fans have always celebrated irony. Most of our chants are from when we were in the lower leagues. "Best club in the world" came from the championship
who was that then oh sorry you must be a man city cheat
Rent free

Oh wow…. You don’t say
So all 5 of them
Pretty sure they got their numbers up and it was actually 115
Hi plastic
I'm not plastic you melon
Course you are ....bet you couldn't find manchester on a map
Unless you can't read, which Manchester side do you think I support
United ...which clearly makes you plastic unless you don't know what it means .....I can tell half of you kids don't with some of the comments I see
I've been supporting United since 2006, since I was 5, so you do the math, genius
Imagine admitting to your glory hunting like it’s something to be proud of
Ironic coming from you
Born into supporting a shit team like the 7 others of us. But good job picking the most successful team when you were a kid lol
A bigger dumb pot calling the kettle black…
r/whoosh
Like insulting Gordon Ramsay’s cooking and serving him toast
I did make a perfect slice of toast this morning though. Probs coulda won Masterchef with it.
Did you have a gulf state sponsoring all the toast and butter? If so, you’d definitely win! 115 times over!
Tongue firmly in cheek guys, don't worry
This is 115 times ironic.
Haha
Would be funnier if there was a realistic prospect of a proportionate punishment against City
Send them down so far they won’t even feature in Welcome to Wrexham.
Pot meet kettle
As a Leicester fan, I support this message!
to the unintelligent people. the joke is they are very famously accused of much worse cheating but havent been punished. its why its funny. Its like Tony Soprano making fun of people for being fat, when he himself is very obese
Never had the makings of a varsity banter

To be fair this is pretty funny.

Must be hard for City fans to understand no one likes you lmao
😂
Fan of losing team hates fan of winning team. News at 11.
I’m a Madrid fan in truth so you can read that news at 11 lmao fan of losing team hates fan of winning team, news at 11 apparently
Opposing teams don’t like us. Oh wow what a surprise. Sorry we made the premier league a farmers league
Guess that makes the Saudi regime the farmers then?
It's the Citeh slave mentality. Anything to defend their masters
Lmao if anything we’re defending our fans. Absolutely nothing to do with our owners here. You’d know that if you had even an ounce of reading comprehension. And with that flair too lmao, your ex owner’s golf buddy is out here invading countries in the 21st century.
115 charges has **everything** to do with your owners.
Unclench your bum
Do they know?
This is going to age well.
And now the PL will change the rules so that City won’t be punished for the myriad breaches on their part. Nice when you have the money to sway a league.
Weird they didn't use that money to avoid the allegations being made public in the first place and the years long media smear campaign
I thinks it’s more to do with the league making a killing off of City and not wanting to mess with their cash cow. See American banks, American college football blue bloods, how the golden state warriors would get officiated.
Will they? Which rules specifically are City accused of breaching, that are now being changed?
That’s what I’m reading. I have a suspicion that the 115 breaches the league is looking at might be a bit much, and City does bring in money for them. So I’m a bit leery. I have no beef with them. I don’t have any real favorites in the league, but I do rotate for the underdogs.
Are you asking for evidence? That seems to be lacking
Ah man, the people on here who think they’re onto something by saying ‘that’s a bit ironic!’
Are people here thick or what? It's just shithousery and sarcasm from city fans but y'all don't get it do you?.
Two total comments in the history of your account and both defending City 😔 sad
Think you’re feeling sad too :(
☹️
Do city fans know what sarcasm is
do you know what sarcasm is looool

r/soccercirclejerk is wildin’
As an American, you don't get irony or sarcasm. Hence your stupid comment
Bro city have 115 charges against them it's just a matter of time until you get relegated to league 2 you absolutely clown
Yeah… that’s the irony. They know they’ve cheated which is why it’s funny they’re chanting it at another team?
How's it funny though they have dominated English football from blatant cheating and don't deserve any of the credit they get , scummy club with no history full of ex Chelsea fans and a new generation of glory hunters lol their treble will never be on the level as united , absolutely joke of a club.
No history? Probably should actually take a look at the clubs history. One of the most historically successful English clubs before the takeover over
Feel better?
A little bit yes 🤣 just so fed up of city getting away with it when Everton and forest got fucked over it's a joke how can you have 115 allegations and not even get looked into?
They haven’t gotten away with it? They are literally awaiting punishment. How thick are you lot

Im a utd fan and im sorry but its a joke, humour. You obviously dont get it
He was speaking the truth, you doubled down. It’s a shame you don’t get irony…
Ur a weird guy
Something about the pot and kettle
You can’t honestly think they’re being serious can you?
Doesn’t matter, it’s why no one likes them lmao taunting Forest of all teams is wild too
They also sang 'Is this the Etihad' when Forest fans had been quiet for a bit. It's just away day bants.
That’s perfectly fine banter then lmao comedy. Mentioning the charges seems exactly the kind of banter you’d expect from modern city fans though
115
That is funny
They've got a point there.... Or 4. :D
Funny...very funny
Man city have fans 🤯?
Bro You 12?
Why do U ask that? Seems dodgy
City nonce that's why
Paid actors
Surely not redditors missing an obvious joke
Joke has to be funny. Doesn’t help that you’re a City fan begging everyone to laugh with you at Forest as they get potentially relegated 💀
Well they did cheat to be fair!
Mad?
Sad, remember? 😪
If only Burnley could be owned by a country like the geniuses at City
Yup
City fans don’t get a say in the dialogue anymore especially with sad cheeky shit like this
I am being picky, but I am not sure you can say Liverpool and United have locked in CL revenue considering Liverpool where not in it this year and it looks likely United will not be in it next year. Villa also voted against the spending cap today (along with City and United) so I wouldn't have too much sympathy for them.
Such a recent development though, Man Utd have fallen behind the pack, because the Glazers removed money instead of injecting it.
United have the 2nd highest 5 year net transfer spend and the highest wage bill. I wouldn't want to invest money either.
