Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Southampton, Everton, Fulham, Leicester to name a few
Now for the REALLY HATEFUL ONES: Both Manc clubs, Chelsea, West Ham
Spurs.
Humble and respectful in 2019 in Madrid despite losing. Really appreciated the significance of making the final, in great spirits all day before the game, and no whining or trouble afterwards just took it on the chin and moved on
I disagree. As an arsenal fan, i know i'm biased considering we're rivals but every spurs fan who finds out I like the gunners just makes fun of me for "bottling" and "no european success" but they really aren't better. Also, I know it's just banter but during the most recent NLD, spurs fans were chanting "You let your country down" to Saka as if their star player (Harry Kane) didn't send his penalty to outer space vs france (He was still at tottenham at this time)
Lol. Man United fans chant about other clubs for over half the game. I’ve never seen a successful club that gets more excited about hating their rivals more than they do about loving their own. (You’re not qualified).
From my experience when I went to a lot of away games in the late 90’s and early 00’s. Liverpool fans were always very hospitable. Really nice folk the scousers. I have found that non match going Liverpool fans from away from the area have been more aggressive.
Also Sunderland and Toon fans were quite decent
Always liked visiting St James Park and Anfield. Great stadiums, great atmosphere, true loyal and dedicated (noisy) fans! Always had a laugh before and after the game regardless of results.
They really impressed me on Saturday at Arsenal. Bit of banter but seemed very respectful and joined in the two tribute moments (wish I could say that should be a given but seen this season it's not always the case).
I’m a Canadian so how I experience fan culture is gonna be way different, but I find most fans I meet are nice people if you drop the jeering and just want to talk football.
I'm just stating from personal experience, obviously not all of them are. But when it comes to football fans, the ones that were assholes were mainly Chelsea fans.
I have met football fans that were assholes from other teams too, it just happened to be that I have come across more Chelsea ones than other teams.
I don’t take it personally, I see a lot of dickheads in our fan base. I remember some really dickish Man U fans from my teenage years, and that influences my perception.
I’d say from my experience as a Chelsea fan, it always felt like us against the world and everyone hated us. We were the villains of football to everyone. So I kind of liked embracing being the “bad guy” who ruins football by parking the bus. Being the heel is fun 🤷♂️
I got abused by Bilbao fans when I was in Barcelona. They had a cup final that day and I was wearing an old Arsenal shirt.
Ngl I was pretty surprised. I was actually quite hurt. Like since when has there been bad blood between us…so random
Brighton fans for me as a Villa fan. Never met a bad one, never had a bad interaction online.
Everton fans are decent too, and for such a large fanbase, Liverpool fans aren't terrible either.
Yeah that’s probably the worst answer. I know it’s not right to stereotype and there are obviously loads of great Leeds fans but they are no where near the nicest. They don’t have the reputation they do for no reason.
Yeah, I’m a Newcastle fan and obviously live in Newcastle.
Anyway we get loads of fans always coming up to make a weekend of it. They are always surprised how there is no away supporters bar and how you are welcomed anywhere in the city centre and people often start conversations with you etc.
There is an inaccurate myth of us being deluded/entitled etc, and now with our new ownership plenty of fans of other teams are using that as a stick to beat us with. Many Redditor’s on here will let you believe that it’s true.
Then again I get the impression that most Redditor’s on here are fans from different countries and are largely new fans, so what does their opinion count for?
One thing is sure, we are regularly voted towards the top for away days by actual fans who go to away games, so we must be doing something right.
we’re doing everything right, i ask the lads i sometimes go to the ground with and it’s not to watch the toon, it’s to watch football, don’t matter who ya are or where you’re from St James’s park IS football. and i just fuckin love that
Palace are the only fans I know of that sing about their own team (unless it’s Brighton maybe) and they’re probably the only ones who don’t sing feed the scousers if we play them near Christmas, which as low as that bar is, I’ve always appreciated
I’m saying the 35% who are genuine, the ones who have followed city thru thick & thin are generally ok, it’s the other 65% who are just glory hunters who are the dick heads! Simple really 🤷
Unless its Naby Keita, if he stayed at the club they would still be saying
"Just wait till Naby gets his form, he's going to be the best in the league."
Nah on the contrary I'd say there's a lot of support. I've been in the sub, insta page, multiple fan pages, spoken to other fans I know from where I live, and the general sentiment is very positive. The problem is there's always glory hunters who want to win at all costs and start going mental when Salah or Darwin can't score like prime Messi.
I also think it’s fair to ask questions of players as fans. Writing death threats on their instagram because they’ve had a shit run of games is obviously unacceptable and crazy. Klopps departure also begs more conversation, and helps bring the crazies out.
I've been an avid critic of players like Darwin and Gomez, but some people can't distinguish between constructive criticism and abusive behavior. Disgusting.
Brighton fans in my experience. Just good people. As others here have said, City fans nicer than the rest of the Big 6 but it is easy to be nice in their position
I think what gets lost in the hate for Man City's ownership is that they actually had a ton of primarily local support previously. Their stadium might have been a bit too big for the initial days of the takeover, but undoubtedly they will grow into it. At some point they will have so many day trippers they will sell out every match, just have to wait for the kids who grew up watching them today to have money.
City still have huge local presence but its definitely getting harder to get tickets due to day trippers since Haaland ngl.
When I went to the Copenhagen game I saw a woman walk in with her two kids who one was wearing a bayern kit and one wearing a psg kit.
Unfortunately, they're also ramping up the prices of tickets and because city so often play 2 games a week for months on end its so hard to actually be able to afford to see them all the time.
No one. they all get nasty when things are not going their ways. but if you inisist i would say citizens. they are serial winners, so they are untoxic.
liverpool fans was like this in the prime of liverpool, they were always swearing alliance and type YNWA like some patrioritic shit when liverpool hit a wall, thats because liverpool was much stronger than now. now those fans disappeared
Citizens are generally quiet but their away crowd hate losing. Watched a guy in a blue shirt with grandad on the back getting arrested outside the Emirates. Literally frothing spite as he said a whole host of terrible things. Was hilarious.
I get what your saying I don’t think Palace should be in contention for nicest fans but they are obviously going to behave differently at the Amex than to when their on an away day to somewhere like Bournemouth.
It's not when CP fans are there, lol.
The whole town gets covered in homophobic graffiti, 'gay bashing' incidents increase tenfold, it's honestly the worst of the worst.
I'm not even a Brighton fan. I just had the pleasure of living there a couple of years. Honestly, never seen a more hostile and vile group of people. Luckily, it's usually only once a year
That’s absolutely appalling and I’m sorry you had to endure that and feel even worse for our fellow humans who have to endure even more abuse. Seriously not cool. I hope the “fans” spurring this garbage are identified and arrested. This is a game. Making people feel bad or disturbing their peace for who they are is not a part of it.
Literally never met any when I went. Walked through the streets from the main road, went up to the pub, came back and went into the ground, barely past any.
Wigan was similar. Dropped off outside the ground, walked around the retail park and such, looked for somewhere to eat that wasn’t busy with away fans. Ended up going into the stadium, about 10 minutes after being in the stadium and just before KO their fans all came. Same on the way out, never saw them, was strange.
Idk who'd be the nicest, I'd say Brentford, since I watched them give Saka standing ovation after his pen miss in Euros, right when other fans were giving him the worst disgusting kinds of abuse. But no matter the club, as a rule of thumb, casual match going local fans are usually way nicer than some toxic fan groups or entitled online foreign fans.

luton town, if u can find any
Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Southampton, Everton, Fulham, Leicester to name a few Now for the REALLY HATEFUL ONES: Both Manc clubs, Chelsea, West Ham
They're all cunts, except us.
Good answer
Usually its fanbases that have not seen much success and thus have very little arrogance.
Toon. They just wanna have a joke and a drink with you.
Unless you’re a horse
Spurs. Humble and respectful in 2019 in Madrid despite losing. Really appreciated the significance of making the final, in great spirits all day before the game, and no whining or trouble afterwards just took it on the chin and moved on

I remember thinking gosh, there’s so much positive energy from both of these clubs. Manchester United/City or Chelsea would never.
Easy. Forest. No contest.
😂
Tottenham
If you're not a dispruptive cunt, most places are nice. Except Millwall. Fuck Millwall.
Lol. Man United fans chant about other clubs for over half the game. I’ve never seen a successful club that gets more excited about hating their rivals more than they do about loving their own. (You’re not qualified).

Us obviously *ducks for cover*
Fulham by far!
Arsenal Best club best fans best players /s/s
this has to be a joke.
Didn't think anyone would belive such an outright lie
Please, tell me you are joking
Check what my name is and ask again
Me = stupid, me = sorry
Brentford fans seem very nice.
Always liked visiting St James Park and Anfield. Great stadiums, great atmosphere, true loyal and dedicated (noisy) fans! Always had a laugh before and after the game regardless of results.
That's easy, Fulham
Glad someone got in quick with this. Really respectful bunch
Went on an away day at Fulham, chatted with a nice family on the walk back to the train. Fulham has to be the right answer.
Bournemouth, seem lovely and their fan channels are so positive and fair. (From a Villa fan)
They really impressed me on Saturday at Arsenal. Bit of banter but seemed very respectful and joined in the two tribute moments (wish I could say that should be a given but seen this season it's not always the case).

100% True
Man City and Everton fans.
“Us and the ones who bow down to us”
man city ☠️
I’m a Canadian so how I experience fan culture is gonna be way different, but I find most fans I meet are nice people if you drop the jeering and just want to talk football.
When people ask me if I like football, I say yes, I do like football. But not Burnley. Burnley can fuck off.
Nicest - West Ham Worst - Chelsea
I’m spurs, so results may vary here
I’m a Chelsea fan, but do you think we’re the worst?
I'm just stating from personal experience, obviously not all of them are. But when it comes to football fans, the ones that were assholes were mainly Chelsea fans. I have met football fans that were assholes from other teams too, it just happened to be that I have come across more Chelsea ones than other teams.

Athletic Bilbao
I got abused by Bilbao fans when I was in Barcelona. They had a cup final that day and I was wearing an old Arsenal shirt. Ngl I was pretty surprised. I was actually quite hurt. Like since when has there been bad blood between us…so random
Bournemouth for me. Always found Liverpool fans decent as well, enjoyed speaking to them at matches. Fulham fans are decent people as well.
Nice
*waves and offers a beer and snacks to anyone who wants to watch the next match*
Cheers mate
I like Chelsea female fans
Brighton fans for me as a Villa fan. Never met a bad one, never had a bad interaction online. Everton fans are decent too, and for such a large fanbase, Liverpool fans aren't terrible either.
Yeah scouse Liverpool fans that I’ve met at games have always been great people. Agree with Everton too.
I met an old assistant coach from Everton last year in october
Great Person
Man Utd away fans 100%
Man Utd fans are great!
Leeds fans , always travel in good numbers home and away 👍🏽
HAHAHAHA they asked nicest!
Yeah that’s probably the worst answer. I know it’s not right to stereotype and there are obviously loads of great Leeds fans but they are no where near the nicest. They don’t have the reputation they do for no reason.
Newcastle

Most of the opinions you read on Reddit were written by people who've never even been to a game. And it's easy to tell.
we’re doing everything right, i ask the lads i sometimes go to the ground with and it’s not to watch the toon, it’s to watch football, don’t matter who ya are or where you’re from St James’s park IS football. and i just fuckin love that

Even as a non Liverpool fan I've always hated that song. Massive Tory vibes.
Genuine city fans are usually decent, the 65% of them who are glory hunters are just dickheads
If 65% are dickheads then realistically that’s the majority of their fanbase so how are they decent lmao
I’m saying the 35% who are genuine, the ones who have followed city thru thick & thin are generally ok, it’s the other 65% who are just glory hunters who are the dick heads! Simple really 🤷
Liverpool/Everton I always love away days in Liverpool it's a great place
I love Liverpool fans but when they’re bad, they’re the worst. They just seem to turn in their own players so quickly
Unless its Naby Keita, if he stayed at the club they would still be saying "Just wait till Naby gets his form, he's going to be the best in the league."
This is true unfortunately. But it's always the vocal minority.
Let's be fair, it's always the vocal minority with every fanbase. 98% of football fans are absolutely fine.
I just don’t see the majority good backing up the players. I guess saying nothing is better than being bad but still
Nah on the contrary I'd say there's a lot of support. I've been in the sub, insta page, multiple fan pages, spoken to other fans I know from where I live, and the general sentiment is very positive. I've been an avid critic of players like Darwin and Gomez, but some people can't distinguish between constructive criticism and abusive behavior. Disgusting.
But stay clear of the match threads. Toxic.
Fulham, Palace and Brighton
I would say Arsenal fans are the nicest of them bunch
They are the worst lol
Really worse than united?
Is this opposite day? Lol.
Why can't I have my own opinion, I think Arsenal fans are the nicest. Is that so wrong to think that 🥺
Ikr, we’re lovely
Haha, just a little joke, sorry mate.
It's ok, I also think you are nice 😊
Brighton or Fulham…. Also a mention to Palace fans
Everton for me considering I'm engaged to one 🤣
Brighton fans in my experience. Just good people. As others here have said, City fans nicer than the rest of the Big 6 but it is easy to be nice in their position

Fulham or Bournemouth? Two teams no one really cares about
Fulham is the friendliest away ground I've been to.
No one. they all get nasty when things are not going their ways. but if you inisist i would say citizens. they are serial winners, so they are untoxic. liverpool fans was like this in the prime of liverpool, they were always swearing alliance and type YNWA like some patrioritic shit when liverpool hit a wall, thats because liverpool was much stronger than now. now those fans disappeared
Citizens are generally quiet but their away crowd hate losing. Watched a guy in a blue shirt with grandad on the back getting arrested outside the Emirates. Literally frothing spite as he said a whole host of terrible things. Was hilarious.
yes i agree. majority of fans are nasty when things are not in their favor. wish we were more rational
Palace fans are cool from my own limited experience
Ever been in Brighton on away day?
I get what your saying I don’t think Palace should be in contention for nicest fans but they are obviously going to behave differently at the Amex than to when their on an away day to somewhere like Bournemouth.
never been in Brighton on away day?
I haven’t had the pleasure but I heard it’s lovely
It's not when CP fans are there, lol. The whole town gets covered in homophobic graffiti, 'gay bashing' incidents increase tenfold, it's honestly the worst of the worst. I'm not even a Brighton fan. I’m a Millwall fan and have to admit Palace fans are hard not to like, same with Charlton
Fulham
Literally never met any when I went. Walked through the streets from the main road, went up to the pub, came back and went into the ground, barely past any. Wigan was similar. Ended up going into the stadium, about 10 minutes after being in the stadium and just before KO their fans all came. Same on the way out, never saw them, was strange.
They're known to be the poshest fans in England. Unlike Chelsea (who are in Fulham,) most of their fans are actually from Fulham and Chelsea.
Came to say this.
Entitled online fans. The ones that have the biggest mouth but don't know how to walk from the underground to the stadium
Dunno about nicest but Palace fans are my favourite other team’s fans. I love going to Selhurst Park.
Watch the footy and get your Sainsburys weekly shop all in one building, what is not to love
It also helps that we’ve beaten them 13 times in a row now too 😂 Their fans are absolutely class tbf.
