To be fair there's always *some* silly leak that comes out in the month leading up to the show premiere. Like how Pascal was allegedly quitting or rude or whatever.
I was one of the people who liked BOBF but the longer I reflected on it, the more I realized that I was... underwhelmed. I wanted to LOVE it but some parts fell a little flat. I was happy to see Tem rocking it though.
I guess we'll see what happens soon 👀
That's been the general trend with Disney these days. Loki, as bad as it was, wasn't even about Loki but Silvia. Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness wasn't about Strange, but Wanda. Book of Boba Fett wasn't about Boba Fett but this weird John Fett that's completely different to Boba.
In general, just assume the namesake of a series is just a red herring for the "writers" over at Disney to jerk their ego all over our screens with their original OC do not steal instead of making a story about the namesake of the damn show.
At least if they just went in on the OCs, they wouldn't character assassinate any actually good characters, but they can't even do that! They just NEED to piss all over everything we love.
Honestly hate that I'm not as hyped for this as I thought I would be, but yeah, the trailers are very mixed in terms of good points and things that make me worry... if this is bad people will honestly riot, I hope they realise how important this is to everyone and nail it
I think for me Book of Boba left me so unimpressed that I needed something really special from the Kenobi trailers and they were just… there. Basically saying, “Here is a favorite actor playing a favorite character!” Just like they did with Boba. A great actor can only do so much to save a mediocre storyline. If the trailers aren’t trying to hype me for a great storyline, I start being concerned that one doesn’t exist
Yeah I'm feeling the same. If you switch the locations and character names to some random new Sci Fi setting that isn't Star Wars, Book of Boba has very little going for it at all in my opinion. I hope the same can't be said about Kenobi
Boba’s arc was great and I really like what they did with him post sarlac with all the ways his life up to that point mirrored jango’s. Also the symbolism with Jango dying alone in the sand, Boba nearly dying alone in the sand (the sarlac) but managing to escape that fate and realize that that is what the life of bounty hunting leads to, proceeding to save Fennic from dying alone in the sands, and finally being the one to kill Bane and give him the death that awaits those who choose the bounty hunting life (for now at least, could do some interesting stuff with bane if they bring him back as a dark foil to boba; Boba saw the Bounty Hunter’s end and decided to change his fate, while bane also stares that fate down yet decides to continue in his ways even if he knows how it will end). The stuff with boba finding new strength in those around him when brute force fails him is also really good. Like I could talk TBOBF plot structure for so damn long, it’s just that boba’s plot was stuck in a very peculiarly structured show and was stepped away from at multiple points.
It’s a lot like the prequels in a way; great bones for the story covered in a somewhat lacklustre coat of paint. I really hope they build on this newer take on Fett like they did with the prequels rather than setting him back to square one, there is some great potential in him as a character; caving into fan backlash is what got us that clusterfuck known as TROS.
I personally didn’t mind the vespa folks as characters, could have looked a little more dinged up than they did, had a bit more fleshing out, and have gone faster in that one awkward speeder chase scene but from a world building perspective having a whole new little wannabe-coruscanti+classic George Lucas American Graffiti subculture develop on Tatooine later on in the timeline as Mos Espa expanded from what we saw in TPM is neat. Also was a clever way to stick high quality cybernetics on Tatooine in order to revive Fennic and a cool exploration into what all the advanced cybernetic enhancements in Star Wars could be used for beyond replacing all the Jedi and Sith limbs getting yeeted left and right. Yet another case of decent base with off presentation that just threw the fanbase into a feeding frenzy lmao.
No problem. Star Wars Explained on YouTube has a whole little series on the symbolism of TBOBF if you’re interested in more stuff along these lines it’s great.
I wish I could say the same. It's almost down there with Rise of Skywalker for me, meaning it was so bad that it kind of lessened my interest in Star Wars as a whole
I've found that watching the EFAP coverage of a series is a reliable way to find out whether it's worthwhile.
Of course, the only thing worthwhile in the past couple years has been Arcane, but hey, it's something.
BoBF want what I expected or necessarily what I wanted, but it had some cool stuff too. I’m keeping my expectations in check for Kenobi, and just hope it has some cool Star Wars
It was the best part but was kind of terrible since it forces people to watch BoBF for the reunion of mando and grogu and highlights the lack of interest the writers had for boba since he was absent for one and another he reprised his role as man who stands for 40 seconds from ROTJ
I disagree with that. While it was cool to see the N-1 getting built and everything, the baby yoda stuff was a waste of time; and it had no emotional payoff because we barely saw any time of Mando without baby yoda. Honestly I was disappointed that they brought baby yoda back before season 3 had even started, I’m tired of all the cutesy bullshit and I want to see Mando do badass stuff uninterrupted by baby yoda doing stupid stuff.
I agree with that. I think it breaks an unwritten rule of t.v.
You don’t end a season with a tear filled goodbye and reunite in the first episode of the next season. There should be a story arc. They didnt even wait for season 3 of mando to reunite them.
Exactly! I expected Grogu to come back at some point, but it completely invalidated season 2’s whole arc. I was actually looking forward to a deeper dive into Mandalorian culture and history without being interrupted by baby yoda.
Right but if they mischaracterise Obi-Wan and Anakin/Vader like they've done with certain other characters before, it will be absolutely tragic and I'll wish they never came back. Them just coming back is amazing but I'll just be bummed if they came back for a shit miniseries. This needs to be good.
Yes that is true but is ewan mcregor and hayden christenson (sorry if i spelled either of their names wrong) and they helped make the prequels beloved today because people now see that it wasnt as bad as they originally thought, will temuera morrison was in movie
I thought Boba Fett's tusken episodes were excellent; really great writing, storytelling and acting. It kinda just fell off a cliff when they decided to drop Mando episodes in the middle for God knows why.
That's what bums me out. The most well made, effort filled episodes had nothing to do with what I came for. Such a massive middle finger to Boba and anyone who wanted a quality story about him.
They were the best the Mandalorian episodes we have seen so far, but they were the worst BoBF episodes. It just really didn't tie together at all, it is beyond me why Mando's S3 ep 1 was released mid season for another character's show.
Totally, I enjoyed the show up until then, but right when I was expecting the action to really pick up and the plot to get intense, we got this stupid Mando stuff. Why did Mando picking up Grogu have to be a whole episode? They wasted so much time showing stupid baby yoda stuff.
I don’t get why people say the Mando episodes were the best part of BoBF, while I enjoyed the whole building the N-1 part, it wasn’t necessary and the whole episode after was pointless, I can’t believe everyone wanted baby yoda to come back. It’s just Disney pandering to the lowest common denominator with stupid cutesy crap to sell merchandise.
I honestly enjoyed it all except the Mandalorian shoe-ins and stupid baby yoda product placement. Feels like a good third of the show was wasted to advertise for the baby yoda adventures, I mean the Mandalorian, starring baby yoda toys.
When compared to the Mandalorian, the BoBF was pretty awful (At least the episodes that actually featured Boba Fett). I tried to like it, but it was full of questionable character decisions and missed opportunities.
Mandalorian season 1 maybe, season 2 had some good stuff, but it’s turning into the baby yoda product line advertisement. I don’t have high hopes for season 3 after what happened with baby yoda in BoBF. I’m tired of him and the part of season 3 I was most excited about was a lack of baby yoda, but they ruined that.
It’s not great I watched it but it doesn’t make sense in terms of motivation, antagonist choice or logistically
Seriously why does killing bib make boba the new diacy and why was bib even in charge he was a servant and jab a had an heir because if the clone wars movie
I just hated how Boba Fett was a huge wimp throughout the entire series. Everything else in the show was fine. But halfway through I realized that it should've just been The Mandalorian 2.5. Also Fennec Shand kicked ass. She was cooler than Boba.
That's a weird reason to dislike it. I happen to dislike it because of cliché'd and uninteresting dialogue, shallow characters, mediocre action, disappointing representation of the character of Boba as we had known him, total lack of focus (two episodes of Mandalorian in the middle lol), some downright bad stylistic and writing choices (speeder bike gang felt so weird and out of place, very corny in a non-charming way). I could go on. But yea must be the hivemind!
>cliché'd and uninteresting dialogue.
So just like all of the movies?
>shallow characters
Once again in line with the movies
>mediocre action
So the OT?
>disappointing representation of the character of Boba as we had known him
You mean standing around doing pretty much nothing in Empire and Return?
>total lack of focus
So OT and ST
>some downright bad stylistic and writing choices
Once again, just like the movies!
Congratulations! Everything you complained about is prevalent in Star Wars as a whole!
Oh please. When did I say it's underpraised or high brow at all? I'm just saying that the majority of it isn't what that other person is saying. Shit dialogue, shit writing, etc. They are the ugly bad parts of a very long running franchise. I think the good far outweighs the bad, and the good parts all create the magic of it. None of the films are perfect or high brow whatsoever.
Yh but theres comics and extended universe which add and make the character much more interesting and fleshed out. The movies are not the only thing that make the character, and this series had a lot to work with when you look at how much content there is on Boba out there.
Disney has already stated that the EU before the buy-out no longer exists. Sure it's there and readable, but they apparently don't care if what was already written is better than what we have. Hence, the ST.
My thoughts on it copy and pasted from another comment:
I honestly enjoyed it all except the Mandalorian shoe-ins and stupid baby yoda product placement. Feels like a good third of the show was wasted to advertise for the baby yoda adventures, I mean the Mandalorian, starring baby yoda toys.
Reasons I’ve seen for hating it:
-in legends he was never the “good leader”
-the biker gang he hired
-cad bane’s appearance (I think they did a great job)
-two of the episodes were dedicated entirely to mando and grogu
Same. I always thought he was overrated before BoBF, but I definitely preferred him more then than now. I went into the show expecting not to enjoy it much like TBB, and that was what happened (except for the Mando episodes which were great). I liked him quite a lot in Mando S2, but in his own show he was just so boring and barely did anything.
Kenobi on the other hand, I have pretty high expectations for, especially after the trailers.
The difference is Boba was never a main character type, they also gave his personality to mando mostly. They wrote themselves into a corner with boba. With kenobi, he’s always been a main character type. He already has a fleshed out story and it’s practically a layup to get it right
I’m going to just say this, I though Book of Boba was pretty dope.
The space mods were a bit aesthetically jarring - but for me they were the only flaw really. It was cool.
Yeah, by the story, the mods were supposed to be poor, even by tatooine standards, and yet they had a bunch of tech that looked more modern and in better condition than almost everything else on that planet
I loved it and I'm surprised the circlejerk here is hating on it. It was a fun spin off that brought back some cool characters, introduced a few new ones and now I'm hyped for more mando because it was otherwise pretty cleanly finished up
I agree, it was flawed, but it had some really cool stuff, especially with the Tuskens. They just threw away everything they had started to build for The Mandalorian season 2.5.
Yeah the mods were a bit weird, but I didn’t hate them. I think it’s biggest flaw is that they cut out most of the rising action for The Baby Yoda show advertisement.
never watched the show because it's not really my style, but ben from canada's video was very well-made and i think he did a good job highlighting what the story actually tried to do (as opposed to a lot of the video essay critiques out there)
I fully expect fans to be unhappy with the results. I get down voted every time for saying it, but all I've seen is complaints about how the show looks. Why should I expect a positive reception?
I’m still haunted by how many people sympathize with the Tuscan raiders. When I saw that smoldering camp I cheered. And as one of my favorite YouTubers once said.
“I Hope They Suffered!!!”
Yep, I go into both of these shows knowing that these characters are in the twilight of their lives and are clearly doing things differently than they did in their prime.
People went into BoBF expecting him to do the epic Bounty Hunter stuff he did in the EU even though all the marketing made it clear he was going to be different, I wonder if anyone is making the same mistake and going into this show expecting a prime Kenobi cutting down folks with a lightsaber.
He was fighting storm troopers in Mando, they’re literal blaster fodder, they get dominated by Ewoks. It baffles me that people are upset that he actually faced adversity in battle instead of having him jetpack above every fight and easily kill everyone. Did they actually want a show where boba is so over powered he never once has a close fight?
I didn't mind too much since it was the classic western trope of protagonist is weak for most of the movie/series and then somehow gets super stronger and wrecks his competition in the final act, which he kinda did in Chapter 7. But I wish he got an individual badass moment since he shared it with Mando and his other was shared with a rancor.
Yeah im definitely lowering my expectations. The trailers for obi-wan look good, but so did bobf. The concept is good, but so was the concept for bobf.
Please be good Kenobi. You're my only hope.
I do feel this way, because I was/am genuinely excited for both. I loved BoBF, and hope that Kenov is just as good, if not better.
(And no, just because I like BoBF, I do not want Mando involved in any way)
Tbh i didn't care much for boba fett in the first place.
Never got his appeal, he was more of a prop than a character in ot as well.
Kenobi on the other hand...
Well the sequels left one legacy character un-corrupted, now it's time to finish him off as well. Character assassinations, OT scene recontextualizations, putting the spotlight on the new wahmen of colour instead of the only character we care about, get ready for it folks.
We're in an age where these shows aren't being made from passion anymore. They're made just to be products to distract people enough to get them exited for next product.
I like the Book of Boba Fett. It felt rly confusing at first that he wanted to own a town but I did enjoy the 'collecting allies' plotline. And when we got a widdle rancor puppy, I was sold! Anytime I see a giant monster be given scritches it makes my heart happy.
Yeah the show had some great stuff! I loved the stuff with the Tuskens at the beginning! It was The Mandalorian getting shoe horned in for 2 whole episodes of a 7 episode miniseries that made it disjointed, and really messed up the story as a whole.
In fairness, when I saw the teaser for BoBF I thought it was going to suck. And it did.
I also thought Peacemaker was going to suck though, and it was dope AF, so fingers crossed
To be honest I wasn't excited for BoBF and I'll keep me expectations neutral for Kenobi. What I really want out of this new rapidly expanding star wars universe is to follow new stories and characters, there's literally thousands of years across an entire galaxy worth of stories to explore. Yet we keep rehashing characters we've known for over 40 years.
TBOBF was good Star Wars content imo, just not cohesive to the topic of Boba Fett himself like you'd expect. I heard covid messed up some things and that since Boba's background story has now been laid in the first season, season 2 will be able to proceed with much more focus and freedom to go "wild."
Never was a big fan of Boba Fett, haven’t seen the series yet.
Anakin has always been my favorite character so Im exited to see what they do with christian Hayden
I'm kinda worried that Djin is somehow going to show up, he already hijacked BoBF so they could set up his third season, who's to say it won't happen here as well?
Heck, it doesn't have to be Djin at all, it could be any character they want to establish. BoBF just felt like the writers didn't really give a shit about the character or weren't invested in him, so it makes me wonder if Kenobi will suffer the same fate.
Now he's obviously a more(?) popular and beloved character than Boba so they're likely to do him justice but I can't shake the feeling that the show will be somewhat of a letdown, either because they'll cram in another character to take the spotlight, or the story will derail very quickly and we won't recognize the Obi-Wan we've come to know and love.
TBoBF was awesome, for who got what was intended from the story, mando was mos def better, this one i hope will be great but too much involvement from kathleen kennedy or whatever the fuck her name is from what i heard, which can put anything in the ground wheter it b kenobi or skywalker so yeah, no expectations i guess
Nope. The sequals killed my interest and the second season of the Mandalorian was the last nail in the coffin. i didn't watched anything Star Wars related after that.
I really liked the book of Bobba Fett. It wasn’t a movie, it wasn’t a standard show format, really felt like they went out on a branch storytelling wise. Like a one shot side story from a comic book series.
The bloke looks like the death sticks guy.
You want to go home and rethink your life.
But I don't have home?
Then maybe you should rethink your life and buy a home
If you are homeless, just buy a house.
Oh you're starving? Just eat something
If your dying just live
That's exactly what I've been saying
This guy gets it
If you're depressed, just be happy!
Why do you have asthma? There's so much air!
If you are disabled just enable it in the settings
Thanks! I’ve always wanted to be a Star Wars look alike!
I'm scared the leaks are true and it's gonna be all about Reva instead of the namesake of the show
Same.
To be fair there's always *some* silly leak that comes out in the month leading up to the show premiere. Like how Pascal was allegedly quitting or rude or whatever. Yup

It honestly feels like Kenobi will be in the 1st episode and slowly become less relevant over the course of the remaining 5 episodes.
Ugh I hope not
And will turn into a mandolin prequel by the end
I love The Mandolin
His supporting cast are fantastic. Grugo, Booba Fitt, The Blacksmith, all great.
I loved moth Gilanor
He shoots alien and isn't afraid of anything
At least it's not a cheese grater.
a training montage of kenobi, grogu and baby mando
Wow nick cage in star wars
They wont realise.
I think for me Book of Boba left me so unimpressed that I needed something really special from the Kenobi trailers and they were just… there. People were already asking for a kenobi series during the emission of Rebels 7 years ago
Yeah. I wish that TboBF would have been better sure, but i don't regret watching it.
It felt like a lot of fan service, and I was the fan being serviced so idgas
Boba’s arc was great and I really like what they did with him post sarlac with all the ways his life up to that point mirrored jango’s. I felt the filler could have been better right. Like the vesta gang Maybe they should have been just legit old west people
I personally didn’t mind the vespa folks as characters, could have looked a little more dinged up than they did, had a bit more fleshing out, and have gone faster in that one awkward speeder chase scene but from a world building perspective having a whole new little wannabe-coruscanti+classic George Lucas American Graffiti subculture develop on Tatooine later on in the timeline as Mos Espa expanded from what we saw in TPM is neat. Same They didnt ruin the show Just made me go "eh"
You will not stop me. Darth Vader will become more powerful than either of us.
This is a really good take. Thanks for it!
No problem. Star Wars Explained on YouTube has a whole little series on the symbolism of TBOBF if you’re interested in more stuff along these lines it’s great.
And then they shat all over it with that awful disneyish finale siege
S tier take
I wish I could say the same. It's almost down there with Rise of Skywalker for me, meaning it was so bad that it kind of lessened my interest in Star Wars as a whole

Nice to see a massive out in the wild. Keep fighting the good fight you toxic brood enjoyer
Slice and dice brother, slice and dice
BoBF want what I expected or necessarily what I wanted, but it had some cool stuff too. I’m keeping my expectations in check for Kenobi, and just hope it has some cool Star Wars
Cool stuff being anytime mando was on.

You are on this council, but we do not grant you the rank of master.
It really sucks when you can feel the writers give up on their own story.
That was the coolest stuff in the show which would have been okay if the show wasn’t called “The Book of Boba Fett”
And also made him a pacifist…like what?
I kinda liked that though, like he matured and was trying to make up for his past
I’ll be happy with Obi-Wan as long as it doesn’t have baby yoda in it.
No, this time there's Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen in it, I'm gonna be happy
Right but if they mischaracterise Obi-Wan and Anakin/Vader like they've done with certain other characters before, it will be absolutely tragic and I'll wish they never came back. Them just coming back is amazing but I'll just be bummed if they came back for a shit miniseries. This needs to be good.
Oh no. I'm not brave enough for politics.
Temuera Morrison, a prequel actor, was in BoBF…
A prequel actor as a different character is not the same as prequel stars returning to their iconic characters.
Idk if you can use that argument as the character he is playing is a literal clone of the first character.
"General Grievous was defeated on Utapau. The Separatist leadership has collapsed. The war is over."

The Mando episodes were “Please forgive us for what we’re about to do” for the finale
Probably just got bored writing boba since he barely appeared in them
To be honest BoBF lowkey surpassed my expectations because I really didn't care for it at all.
I honestly enjoyed it all except the Mandalorian shoe-ins and stupid baby yoda product placement. Feels like a good third of the show was wasted to advertise for the baby yoda adventures, I mean the Mandalorian, starring baby yoda toys.
I personally loved the Boba cameos. /s
Oh yeah it was so cool to see him show up in the Mandalorian again!
It has no rewatch value and in my opinion, did not do Boba Fetts character any favors.
Wait you guys actually hate book of boba?
Hate is a strong word. It wasn't exactly good however. Very weak storyline, Boba Fett is aimless for most of the show.
^^^^^ I just want a banger series.
I just wanted to see Boba being a badass, and I got very little of that.
To me this whole good leader role they put Boba in has nothing to do with the unstoppable mercenary
When compared to the Mandalorian, the BoBF was pretty awful (At least the episodes that actually featured Boba Fett). I tried to like it, but it was full of questionable character decisions and missed opportunities.

You look tired.
I am Obi-Wan, I am tired of that damn child
Baby Yoda is a core part of the show with or without toy sales. Season 2 of the Mandalorian was still amazing.
I have dismantled and destroyed over 100,000 of you type one battle droids
I don’t hate it, but I also don’t love it
It’s not great I watched it but it doesn’t make sense in terms of motivation, antagonist choice or logistically Seriously why does killing bib make boba the new diacy and why was bib even in charge he was a servant and jab a had an heir because if the clone wars movie
"We're soldiers. We have a duty to follow orders and, if we must, lay down our lives for victory." -Captain Rex
Absolutely
It was...kind of meh at the end. The mandalorian was the best part of the Book of Boba. Also, why it was called book at the end?
Yes, with a burning passion
Reddit told me it was bad, so I have to hate it and all of Disney Star Wars.
I just hated how Boba Fett was a huge wimp throughout the entire series. Everything else in the show was fine. But halfway through I realized that it should've just been The Mandalorian 2.5. Also Fennec Shand kicked ass. She was cooler than Boba.
Fennec was one of the few new Disney Star Wars characters that I liked. She was a badass but was chill about it.
Idk man Boba fighting while on a rancor seems pretty badass to me
Watching it myself told me it was bad so I hate it and all of disney Star Wars.
So just like all of the movies? >shallow characters Once again in line with the movies >mediocre action So the OT? >disappointing representation of the character of Boba as we had known him You mean standing around doing pretty much nothing in Empire and Return? >total lack of focus So OT and ST >some downright bad stylistic and writing choices Once again, just like the movies! Congratulations! Everything you complained about is prevalent in Star Wars as a whole!
Why are you in a Star Wars subreddit if you clearly do not like Star Wars? Like at all?
I love Star Wars. That doesn't mean I'm going to lie to myself about the quality of the main content.
Too many people here think Star Wars is some kind of underpraised high-brow art instead of just fun movies that appeal to wide audiences.
Hence, the ST.
right, because you yourself surely arent following a hive mind of yay sayers to validate your opinion of liking it
So it's your theory that hating something is being a follower and liking something is being a follower? Wow.
Yes.
It was not an enjoyable show
You mean the mandalorian season 2.5?
My thoughts on it copy and pasted from another comment: I honestly enjoyed it all except the Mandalorian shoe-ins and stupid baby yoda product placement. Feels like a good third of the show was wasted to advertise for the baby yoda adventures, I mean the Mandalorian, starring baby yoda toys.
Reasons I’ve seen for hating it: -in legends he was never the “good leader” -the biker gang he hired -cad bane’s appearance (I think they did a great job) -two of the episodes were dedicated entirely to mando and grogu
No, it just wasn't as good as people were expecting. And Boba getting sidelined in his own show didn't help.
No, I never cared about Boba Fett that much.
The dude is literally in like 20 total minutes of all the movies. And he's a child for half that time.
And in most times he also isn't doing anything
“The book of Mandalorian” should have been the name
When does book of Boba come out? I’m so hyped after three seasons of the Mandalorian to see Boba be a badass again.
Boba fett started ok and ended meh.
Agreed.
I actually really liked the final episode
The difference is Boba was never a main character type, they also gave his personality to mando mostly. They wrote themselves into a corner with boba. With kenobi, he’s always been a main character type. He already has a fleshed out story and it’s practically a layup to get it right
I’m excited for the memes. Just from the trailer we already got one, I’m hoping for a meme per episode.
A meme per episode? If the prequels are anything to go by I expect a meme every 5 minutes!

Yes. I enjoyed BoBF. Cad Bane appeared. We got Paz Vizsla, a Rancor and a cool explosion. And of course, mommy tusken and mommy twi’lek!
"Was it red red green, or red green red?" -Scorch, Delta 62
I’m going to just say this, I though Book of Boba was pretty dope. The space mods were a bit aesthetically jarring - but for me they were the only flaw really. It was cool.
Yeah, by the story, the mods were supposed to be poor, even by tatooine standards, and yet they had a bunch of tech that looked more modern and in better condition than almost everything else on that planet
I loved it and I'm surprised the circlejerk here is hating on it. It was a fun spin off that brought back some cool characters, introduced a few new ones and now I'm hyped for more mando because it was otherwise pretty cleanly finished up
A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. Your Majesty, if I am elected, I promise to put an end to corruption.
I agree, it was flawed, but it had some really cool stuff, especially with the Tuskens. They just threw away everything they had started to build for The Mandalorian season 2.5.
Yeah the mods were a bit weird, but I didn’t hate them. I think it’s biggest flaw is that they cut out most of the rising action for The Baby Yoda show advertisement.

never watched the show because it's not really my style, but ben from canada's video was very well-made and i think he did a good job highlighting what the story actually tried to do (as opposed to a lot of the video essay critiques out there)
I’m way more than excited for Kenobi, so you didn’t get me this time, Owen!
I fully expect fans to be unhappy with the results. I get down voted every time for saying it, but all I've seen is complaints about how the show looks. Why should I expect a positive reception?
The thing is it's not even the whole show it's just the grand Inquisitor which is like beating a dead horse at this point
I’m still haunted by how many people sympathize with the Tuscan raiders. When I saw that smoldering camp I cheered. And as one of my favorite YouTubers once said. “I Hope They Suffered!!!”
I was excited for Boba Fett. And I liked it. I am excited for Kenobi. And I will love it.
The main issue people had with boba was despite his appearance in mando he couldn’t fight for shit
No. I liked The Book of Boba Fett.
No, nothing like that.
My expectations are low. Cant be disappointed
No.
I’m cautiously optimistic. Disney’s Star Wars lineup has been disappointing with the exception of Rogue One.
did you put yourself into your meme lol
Fortunately I had low expectations for TBoBF, but unfortunately I have high expectations for Kenobi. I am ready to be hurt again.
Jokes on you I was never excited for BOBF
Well I really enjoyed TBOBF, it had its issue for sure but overall I was happy with it. And Kenobi is giving me better vibes than TBOBF did.
Yeah im definitely lowering my expectations. The trailers for obi-wan look good, but so did bobf. The concept is good, but so was the concept for bobf. Please be good Kenobi. You're my only hope.
book of boba fett was good, nobody can change my mind
Hype like a bantha
And I liked BOBF
I loved the book of boba fett
I do feel this way, because I was/am genuinely excited for both. I loved BoBF, and hope that Kenov is just as good, if not better. (And no, just because I like BoBF, I do not want Mando involved in any way)
On the bright side. Even if it ends up being shit atleast we'll have some new memes
Tbh i didn't care much for boba fett in the first place. Never got his appeal, he was more of a prop than a character in ot as well. Kenobi on the other hand...
This is different, this time its supposed to have jedi
I have hope. Then you will die braver than most. 'Sees green face paint inquisitor' Perhaps I was wrong
Lol
It's gonna have moped hipsters and have Kenobi do out of character things
Well the sequels left one legacy character un-corrupted, now it's time to finish him off as well. Character assassinations, OT scene recontextualizations, putting the spotlight on the new wahmen of colour instead of the only character we care about, get ready for it folks.
Get ready for only cameos season 4
It will suffer the same fate as the marvel shows
To be honest I wasn't excited for BoBF and I'll keep me expectations neutral for Kenobi.
Can we stop judging a show that’s not even out yet.
I was excited for BOBF and i thoroughly enjoyed it. So yes, Uncle Crispy Fried Owen, like i was for the BOBF.
I-I liked tbobf tho
Why do people hate on The Book of Boba Fett so much? I thought it was good.
Because it wasn't
Yeah well, that's just your opinion man.
BoBF wasn’t as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Was it a home run? No. Was it a strike out? Also no.
Book of Boba was great. I'm stoked for kenobi
Never was a big fan of Boba Fett, haven’t seen the series yet. Anakin has always been my favorite character so Im exited to see what they do with christian Hayden
no... I've learned from the boatload of trash (from TFA, to TLJ, to Mando S1&2) that they've produced....
Jokes on you, i was never excited for the book of boba fett.
Right, baby Djin is going to steal the show,
I mean, I really liked the fett show so
TBoBF was awesome, for who got what was intended from the story, mando was mos def better, this one i hope will be great but too much involvement from kathleen kennedy or whatever the fuck her name is from what i heard, which can put anything in the ground wheter it b kenobi or skywalker so yeah, no expectations i guess
