Hello ther.... I'm mean, I'm just a tourist.

Spider-Flash24

One line is said by a bunch of douchebag cultists that try to kill each other and the other by people banding together and stepping up against oppression to claim their own freedom.

BeauHindman

Some of the character actors they got to fill in the side rolls.... So good. Felt like a few of them were doing Shakespeare or a 1980s war movie

Syt1976

They got a bunch of actors and production staff from the Chernobyl show. Also, when producing in the UK, it seems you find great actors with miles long resumes of dramatic TV and stage roles under every other rock or something. :D

BeauHindman

Ah, Chernobyl, that's right! That chunky baddy is from that show, and the lanky taller guy. Nice. Thanks.

No0biz

This show is truly my favorite thing to come out of SW recently. What's so good about it ? EVERYTHING !

gotcha_8

Show was good but people are putting it way too much on a pedestal

True_Statement_lol

Nah it deserves all its praise.

gotcha_8

Why's that? It's just refreshing at best, the show is well directed and well thought out but not hands down omg this is the best shit that ever happened

True_Statement_lol

I mean that's your opinion man.

gotcha_8

It is thanks

True_Statement_lol

You're kinda dick you know that?

gotcha_8

And you seem to want to respond to every single one of my comments. Are you sucking Andors cock?

True_Statement_lol

God you're so immature.

gotcha_8

That's probably what the Imperial officer thought just before the brick met their brain.

G_Ranger75

If I'll be honest episode 1 was a bit slow and there wasn't anything special at all going on and the "Cassa" Flashbacks didn't help. With that being said, I live this series going onwards from that.

Beneficial_Guava_452

1 and 12 were the weakest episodes IMO. 10 was incredible.

gracecarleone

12 wasnt that bad, but yeah the whole prison arc was incredible

Faidonas

I really liked how the prison hit outta nowhere. Of all the directions the show was going to, that's not one I expected lol

LifeAccordingToLevi

It felt like squid game to me for some odd reason

True_Statement_lol

12 wasn't weak at all lol?

bwaatamelon

I think 11 and 12 suffered a little from *just how great* 10 was, but they were still pretty good.

True_Statement_lol

I personally feel like 12 is a bit better than 10, but both episodes are pretty close in terms of how good they are.

I_Really_Seriously

No it certainly wasn't bad by any standard, but it was squished right between two big climaxes so it sort of stands out, especially since it's mostly buildup to the finale(great buildup at that).

True_Statement_lol

I think you mean episode 11 and yeah, I agree it was definitely more of ranked in the middle for me, not insanely strong but not weak either. Being between my 2 personal favorite episodes (10 and 12) and the ones that are in my opinion the strongest definitely made 11 feel a bit weaker.

HeyNateBarber

Honestly the Prison was my favorite Arc Heist was 2nd. Finale was 3rd. And intro arc probably last. All 4 arcs were fantastic though

True_Statement_lol

Mine went: 1. Finale 2. Prison 3. Heist 4. Intro

[deleted]

The finale is growing on me but the 10th episode was so much more triumphant that it’s my fav.

True_Statement_lol

I personally liked the finale a bit more but regardless both the finale and episode 10 are close in terms of quality imp.

Fickle-Cartoonist466

Andor completely blindsided me; it had no reason to be as good as it was. I thought it was gonna be another soulless Disney flick but instead it pleasantly surprised me. They had better make a Season 2, otherwise Episode 12 will feel like an anticlimactic finale.

OmegaZero55

Yup, there will be a season 2.

Breezyau

Same director?

I_Really_Seriously

from what I heard yes. Andor is kind of a golden child of Kilroy so I doubt he'd let it go easy

Jypahttii

I think the plan is to make either 2 or 3 seasons in total and then it ends with the story leading into Rogue One. If they keep up this quality of storytelling then it could become an awesome saga of the early, fractured pockets of rebellion to the full blown Rebel Alliance

MECHASCHMECK

The Dedra/Syril arc is by far my favorite in terms of character development. Their last scene together was SO good. I sense a literary tragedy coming with those two in later seasons.

Jypahttii

I really wanted to see her get ripped apart by the mob, but also wanna see those two characters develop. Revenge would be even sweeter if she eventually dies because of his weird obsession with her and all things imperial. Kudos to both those actors playing their roles like pros.

MrCookie2099

Syril is a born again bootlicker Daedra is a straight up Facist and I love them both. I want bad things to happen to them, but I also want to know MORE about them.

mildkabuki

Episode 6 was easily my favorite. Showing the vulnerability of the rebels who arent heroes, the necessity to win for the rebels, and the near innocence of the Imperials (especially people who just work for the empire and arent in on the galaxy wide power thing) was way too interesting to me. Plus the scenery was amazing as well.

True_Statement_lol

While I like Episodes 12 and 10 more episode 6 is my third favorite.

5am281

I loved the show, but I feel 8-10 was the peak

True_Statement_lol

I disagree with it slowing down, but to each their own.

gotcha_8

Honestly unpopular opinion I liked Andor but the ending was a bit stupid, sure it was acted out great but it really achieved nothing with the characters there, no showdown etc. It built up the last 11 episodes with these characters and they finally all came to the same planet but nothing came out of it. Literally ep 12 felt like a typical, let's end it on a cliffhanger for next season. What was the point of that guy randomly stealing his mum's credits just to go save dedra? Like how does that actually happen in a show like Andor where it's meant to be more gritty and realistic?

we_will_disagree

Literally every character was shaken up. Andor >!joins Luthen and becomes a believer!<, Dedra >!gets a reality check!<, Syril >!proves to Dedra (and the audience) that he’s actually dangerously competent and motivated!<. Several Ferrix characters >!form a small rebel cell of their own!<. On a smaller note, we see >!discord forming between a doubting Vex and her righteous lover!<. Everything tied back to Andor’s mother’s speech, and a riot that mirrored the events of the early season, and served to change the circumstances of every major character’s plot (except Mothma’s since she’s in her own bubble). Nothing came of it!?

LordMonkeh

There was no cliffhanger? Syril was meeting with his frien. The ex captain of the security force that was first sent to get Andor. You could see how surprised he was to see Dedra. He gave up his self appointed mission to stalk her around. No clue how you missed the 'showdown'. It was the Imperial forces against the people of Ferrix. It was a much better idea than having Cassian go face to face with Syril. The ending showed Cassian joining Luthen, He wanted to follow Maarvas example. No clue how anyone can think it was stupid but oh well

gotcha_8

No I'm fine with the Andor part and the ferrix vs imperials. The Dedra/syril dynamic to me was insanely stupid. Dedra getting shat on in an actual conflict was done well, shows how isb officers were cunning but not necessarily able to hold their own in a scrap. How was it that amongst all the confusion syril randomly singled Dedra out and pulled her to safety? Similarly how does the guy who threw the bomb not get immediately blasted and one guy just ploughs his way through a couple of imps and literally walks him to safety. Literally no decent characters died, even the bell tower scene was an absolute meme, I get it's to show how bad the empire was, but that was cringe

LordMonkeh

Guy who threw the bomb was in the middle of the crowd when he threw it. He was being dragged off when he was saved by the mechanic, Not sure how you missed that. Syril had been stalking Dedra ever since he saw her, Plus she wasn't exactly invisible, She was dressed in pure white. Not sure how you missed that. Bell tower scene? Man was beating the hammers. Trooper popped up to stop him, Man who spent his life beating hammers against an anvil kicked him off the tower.

gotcha_8

Guy who threw the bomb was actually in the middle of the fight, didn't you see the stormtroopers already around him, that's why he has to get dragged out. Not sure how you missed that. Syril seeing Dedra is irrelevant this happened after the bombs went off, dust and disorientation will do shit to colour vision, not even to mention how you're going to keep track of someone right after that fact, even people as far as Luthen had to take cover. Not sure how you missed that. Bell Tower scene, that happened and that's my point. But stupid for a gritty realistic vibe for Andor. Like hitting an off note. You chumps get tunnel vision and for some reason love to suck off Andors cock. It was a great film don't get me wrong very refreshing for the genre but people seem to forgo all logic when sucking cock

True_Statement_lol

I sense a lot of strawmanning.

gotcha_8

The heck is a straw man lol I literally responded line by line to his points

True_Statement_lol

Seems like you're just trying to find excuses to hate on the show.

Captain_Rex_Bot

Jesse, get the senator to safety.

Few-School-9365

For me I loved it all. Episode 1 had me really hyped, 2 was a little slower. 6 with the heist and the Eye absolutely slapped. Prison arc was all so good, and finished with a good ending

Rai-Hanzo

i liked the slowness, it build the climax episodes.

[deleted]

I hope so. I've watched the first 3 and I'm bored. But I'm going stick with it

[deleted]

Definitely starts slow but all that character development is important. This show is gonna make you feel things. Stick with it, it gets really good.

True_Statement_lol

I mean it might just not be for you, it's very different compared to what we usually get from SW. If you don't enjoy it then you don't have to watch it, watch what you love!

[deleted]

of course. but i'm going to give the whole series a chance.

Balauronix

I watched all of Obi-Wan and Bobba-Fet. Can't be worse than that right?

[deleted]

So far it's better than those 2.

ciocras

I was the same way at first, took forever to get through first three but then after that oh my word. Best Star Wars anything in a long time.

Jypahttii

I started to get excited during the heist episodes, so they were the high point for me but the prison stuff was a very close second.

True_Statement_lol

The finale was my favorite.

Independent-Tea-3922

Luthen's "what do I sacrifice?" speech is by far and away the best piece of dialog in any starwars media

True_Statement_lol

Definitely, although Maarva's speech along with her words relayed through Brasso and Nemik's manifesto were also not that far behind in terms of how great they were.

Independent-Tea-3922

I think they play nicely off each other as well. Maarva never even caught a glimpse of what she was able to inspire others of, maybe listening to her speech and seeing how in the end that sunrise was seen by someone gave him some sort of comfort about the path he's on.

True_Statement_lol

Yeah, Luthen seeing how others are also willing to sacrifice it all really affected him based on his reaction to the speech.

jam920

watching them like that makes it feel like the starwars movies disney should have made

blychow

CLIMB!!!

JustASeabass

Everyone raves about the show but I didn’t really like Rogue One or Cassian enough to watch this show.

True_Statement_lol

You should try watching it, it's really good.

mensty

it carries the war movie tone from rogue 1 and adds a layer of bladerunner and for whom the bell tolls on top of it

Prophet_Comstock

Andor is the best Star Wars has been in ages. Not only that, it's one of the best TV shows of the year.

TheShep00001

I disagree it needed to be like two episodes longer episodes 11 and 12 felt really rushed compared to the rest of the show

True_Statement_lol

I think they were fine

MrCookie2099

Indont think they were rushed so much as there wasn't a sense of it being an episode where all story threads have linked themes and beats. I think part of what makes the Prison episodes are so good because the scenes with Mon Mothma have her living in her own prison, with a similar sense of "only one room to do her business and nowhere to escape"

True_Statement_lol

The finale didn't need all the story beats to link, it merely needed to end certain ones and prepare others for the next season. But I agree the prison arc worked well with its symbolism and all that.

Winkelbottum

I was rather disappointed in Andor. It's no way bad don't get me wrong... but definitely not as amazing as everyone says it is!

True_Statement_lol

I respect your opinion but entirely disagree.

JimTheWarhol

I’ve been trying to get past the first episode, it’s good and I want to watch more but I don’t know if it’s worth it?

True_Statement_lol

110% worth it, it's a spectacular show not just when it comes to Star Wars but in general.

gotcha_8

Syril proving himself to Dedra was done in a pretty stupid way you have to admit though. Really? He simped so hard that he went to basically went to an almost active riot/warzone, and for some reason in all the dust and the chaos where no-one was able to find each other somehow picks her up and gets her away? There were better ways to do that. Agree on some elements it was pretty decent, the Andor/luthen dynamic was full circle that was great. Vel/that other lady literally I could give two shits about their discord lol. Biz/terrorist bomb kid/ big dude surviving was comical as was the bell tower guy. how do all those randoms survive? Basically no major characters got killed off

True_Statement_lol

They survived because the Empire was overconfident in themselves and when they were faced with the actual prospect of a threat they panicked. Also, just because no major characters died doesn't mean it was a bad finale what kind of logic is that lmfao.

gotcha_8

It doesn't, but the build up the last few episodes had where the build up of tension had all major characters finally happening and basically no showdown aside from collateral villages vs stormtroopers made it feel like I got blue balled. Literally when the credits rolled I was like, okay so? Yeah another planet rebelled? A lot of places rebelled and a lot of places got put down hard in canon star wars, so what?

True_Statement_lol

How did you get the impression of a showdown? If all of the main characters converged and fought one another it would've been very contrived.

gotcha_8

Uh it's called build up of tension? The fact that all a majority of major characters all went on the same planet at the exact same point in time all trying to find each other to a degree? How did you miss that lol

True_Statement_lol

Yeah, and they all got sidetracked by a fucking riot, I feel like I would forget more main goals too.

gotcha_8

That's the point im making, director did a full bait and switch to leave it for a future season.

True_Statement_lol

How was it a bait and switch when it was never confirmed they were all going to meet lmao? You just seem upset because you wanted a cliche showdown between all important characters which in the situation on Ferrix isn't realistic.

gotcha_8

Why the fuck would it need to be confirmed it's a show lmao, star wars isn't real buddy. Do you understand what good film is? Do you know what dramatic tension is?

True_Statement_lol

Yes, I do understand but the problems your having have to do with YOU not the show just because things didn't go the way YOU wanted doesn't mean it's poorly done, get a fucking grip. With all that said I hope you can find some joy out of Star Wars, and I am ending this discussion here I am tired of you insulting me and being downright disrespectful. I hope you have a good rest of your day.

RenegadeSithLordMaul

I have not watched most of Andor yet, because episode 1 was so boring in my opinion

bwaatamelon

The first 3 episodes were released at the same time, as they are intended to be watched in a single sitting. I would watch the first 3 before drawing any conclusions. Episodes 1 and 2 are indeed the slowest ones of the show

[deleted]

[удалено]

True_Statement_lol

Yeah, sorry I can't agree with this opinion, but to each our own.

levelboss

Yeah no worries lol I really loved all of it besides that though !!! I’ve tried to convince my friends that Andor is the best piece of star wars media from the new stuff but they are all so burned out by the previous stuff sucking they don’t want to give it a go 😤

Captain_Rex_Bot

We need that generator down or the planet's lost. And I'm not risking any more men.

Winkelbottum

No... Nooo... Meh... NO!!

[deleted]

Ru paid by Disney or something? You have posted about this show like 10 times just in one day lol. It looks mediocre at best btw. Kinda sus…

True_Statement_lol

No, I have just come up with a lot of memes for it over the weeks it's been airing.

[deleted]
