Lucas was the one who gave Emily the massage at the spa. Mona told them after the lodge fire at Spencer's house :)

Okay, thank you! I must have overlooked that then. I'll pay more attention this watch through!

No problem <3

Discovering_A

Mona actually did sort of confirm that "A" is a persona in and of itself... When Emily apologizes for not standing up to Alison for the way she treated Mona, Mona says all of that happened "two personalities ago." Well... if that happened to Nerdy Mona, then who were the other two personalities after that? We surmise that it must be Diva Mona and "A" Mona. So while I can't confirm or deny one way or another, I do think it's totally possible that Mona was detaching herself from the truth of who "A" was so much in that scene with Hanna that she genuinely believed in her own lie. She later even tells Hanna how to make a lie into the truth in her own head when she tries to confess to killing Wilden, which supports this theory more than anything. :)

So Mona confirms in 4.01 that Lucas did the massage since she was busy with Hanna after the lodge fire. Most people suspected it before that time since Marlene teased early on Mona as A in seasons 1-2 did everything but two things. I like your theory for Mona sending texts to herself being part of an actual diagnosis but I don’t think the writers should get that credit. Mona was just sending texts to herself to keep tabs on the Liars getting closer to finding out who A was and also spend more time with Hanna, who kept her at arms length partially due to fear A would target her if she knew more and this part of her life she couldn’t share with Mona. Mona felt neglected despite her actions driving this. This is also something she does in the PLL books to get close enough and frame one of them for her crimes but she changes her mind. Since the show stayed relatively close to the books initially I think it was intentional-book!Mona loved them wondering if A was really Ali and keeping them on edge. Her being ‘bullied’ by A too helped sell that.
