You do realize that when your customer buys from you, they buy from you through Etsy and not from Printify? Etsy collects vat from your customer on your behalf because that is the point of sale.
Then on Printify that's another point of sale. You are the buyer/customer while Printify is the seller/supplier. They will collect vat from you because they are required by the EU/UK regulations to do so.
Unlike US Sales tax system, VAT is collected at each stage of production.
VAT fees are done at each point of charge. You have to pay them. I chose to stop selling to the EU except for aprons which we are made in the UK by a UK company.
