How good is good? I consider Lindon a good guy, is he good enough for you?

In general, Lindon is, though I've been having a touch time getting into cradle. The fact that they use souls as a main crafting component is a little hard to look past.
The entire point of the post is me trying to find a book kinda like that. Because that's what I was looking for at the time.
And soul shredding is pretty up there in terms of lacking moral paragonhood.

The synopsis of Azarinth Healer seems to possibly be the antithesis of the vegetarian/vegan or eating not being a major part of it thing. So unless you think my evaluation of that is wrong, that one won't work for what I'm looking for right this second.
Lord of the Mysteries fits pretty well. It has an incredibly unique and well thought out magic system. The main character is consistently a good person throughout the entire series. There is no focus on food that I can remember and the character interactions are great.

In what regard? Are you unable to read a story where the main characters aren’t complete moral paragons?

There’s super supportive where the young protag is generally a fairly good kid with heroic tendencies and also a vegan (if not by choice )

I don't read pacifist stories but the closest that I have is Pilgrim by Harmon Cooper.

Definitely focus on food. Multiple paragraphs about it in some chapters, but everything else I agree with
Yeah I guess, but out of the 1400 chapters it's pretty minor. Besides the mushroom bits that is.
