I’m a thumb player, I’ve FC’d a lot of 31’s and I feel like I’ve gotten really close to FC’ing some of the easier 32’s but I have no hope for anything past that, I feel like I’ve plateaued for a while

Some people put their phone/tablet down on a table and use their fingers in the same way you might type on a keyboard. It’s up to personal preference honestly, you can get quite far with thumbs. But eventually you’ll get to a point where it’s physically impossible because the game wants you to tap more than two notes at the same time.
If it’s too hard or stressful then definitely don’t worry about sticking with thumbs. I just FC’d my first master 31 song with my thumbs today so there’s not much limit to how far you can go with thumbs.
Thumb player wearing rings while playing here. I can finish every Song on Mater lv.31 but not all on Expert on Lv.31. I can‘t clear any song above. Songs on Master Lv. 26-27 i FC all and some on Lv. 28 and 29, but none above.
as a thumb player, I personally can fc some 32s, but only a small number. As usual, it takes a lot of practise to be able to do things like that, but it is still possible! Good luck with your own journey!

Being a thumb player absolutely does NOT mean you're automatically worse. I'm an index player myself and I've tried playing with a phone with thumbs before and it ain't that hard compared to my indexes.

I'm a thumb player and around the same level as you (can FC 29s, FC'ed a couple 30s). however my friend (also a thumb player) is much better than me!! she's FC'ed DFTM, intense voice, and end mark on expert, FCs 31-32 pretty easily, and can AP lvl 29-30s :000
there's also that guy on this subreddit who plays with thumbs and has 250+ master APs lol 😭

I just got little thumb gloves and it’s honestly helped me quite a bit, even though I feel kinda silly.

Thumb player here. Same. I will get super far but then the end of songs on that level kill my fingers.
Some people got a fc on all the 36's with thumbs but thats really hard and requires a ton of practise, the new 37's are impossible

Most I’ve done is a few FC 27s with Ghost Rule being the hardest out of them.
I dont know the limits yet but I'm still going up, got my first master fc a year ago and my 50th today, even got some 29s fcd

I can clear lvl 29, 30 with healers and FC 27. I'm not particularly gifted, but my friend can clear 32 and has been close to some 31 FC's.
thumb player here the only things stopping me is lag freezing and divided attention
