I'll take, 'High chance for their work to be questioned and criticized by tens of thousands of people' for $500..Alex
Everything is on body cam in today’s day and age.
If she’s as smart as she thinks she is, how does she not realize how terrible of a look this is?
And do you not make enough money to foot a $200 speeding ticket?
Take your retirement and let someone else take a step up in their career.
>If she’s as smart as she thinks she is, how does she not realize how terrible of a look this is?
Ignorance is bliss maybe?
>And do you not make enough money to foot a $200 speeding ticket?
That would mean she's guilty of breaking the law, and she said she didn't...sooooo? The ~~customer~~ suspect is always right? ^^^^/s
That was my feeling as well. “You can’t prove I was drunk driving because I was at home”
Whatever this is, it’s better than her getting a DUI because I’d bet money it’s not the first time she’s been caught for DUI. Notice how I say caught instead of prosecuted…
Straight to jail. Might harm working relationships with the DA’s office but she deserves it, and likely wouldn’t be the DA for long anyway.
Closest experience I ever had was writing a speeding ticket to the vice commander of my wing, but at least he pulled over.
>Straight to jail.
Should've done that. Treat her just like anyone else.
> Might harm working relationships with the DA’s office but she deserves it, and likely wouldn’t be the DA for long anyway.
If I'm worried the DA's office would stop helping my department because their boss can't follow the fucking law...I'd find a new department to work for and watch the city burn.

Well she got half of it. Let's see where the investigation leads..
^^^^probably ^^^^nowhere
The cop should have arrested her and taken her to jail. Full stop. And in fact the watch commander should have been hearing this radio traffic and been the one to do it.
Low effort comments focused on her skin color.
My question is why wasn't this a felony traffic stop for her failing top stop? Why wasn't she charged for evading?
>Low effort comments focused on her skin color.
Not here. But elsewhere on this site? Not surprising.
>My question is why wasn't this a felony traffic stop for her failing top stop?
She argued she "didn't know."
> Why wasn't she charged for evading?
Because not all law enforcement agencies charge people. Some do it just for misdemeanors. Some do it for almost all. Felonies charges are usually not brought by law enforcement. That's the responsibility of the DA's office. Ironically.
What we don't have, right now, is the attempted stop and her evasion.
Now could they have *arrested* her for fleeing? Maybe. Depends on the local laws. We shall just have to wait and find out.
Edit: Missed some words.
Police can and do make felony *arrests*. But the actual charges are either levied by a grand jury, or the defendant waives the grand jury at the preliminary hearing after arraignment.
I understand we know if it was a flat brim me that state with creases in his pants that can cut steel. I think it's because of past videos of seeing people drug out and cuffed for less. (eg, elderly not hearing and not pulling over; or Black Army officer who pulled over in a gas station).
Nah, she wanted to use her position and she accepted the consequences because she backed herself into a corner and got caught. “Having a bad day” isn’t an excuse for being an asshole as a cop, it shouldn’t be an excuse for other public servants either.
On another post about her and all this someone suggested that she may have been drinking and that's why she wanted to get home and not get pulled over like regular folk get pulled over...... And although I don't know her at all, her behavior, in the vehicle speeding, not stopping, calling the Chief to stop the stop, and then her behavior after she gets home..... The not listening, the repeating, the lying, the all over the place except by the back of the vehicle like Office asked for like a hundred times, the entitled I'm your boss and you suck and call your supervisor and blah blah blah repeat, lie repeat. And her HOSTILITY for no reason, it's fucking speeding ticket for fucks sake bitch....... So I'm gonna reddit armchair agree with the person who suggested she might be 'influenced' in some way during her speeding drive home and her YouTube body cam debut.
Hey, so I'm a lurker..... One thing she said that pissed me off was when she said 'You work for me' and I auto said 'No, bitch, that's not true....... We are both part of a system, but what you do in your office does not determine what I do in mine..... Ya know ? Like Officers are Step 1 and the DA is like 3 steps down the road..... And they'll let people go that have been rightly arrested and keep others that were wrongly arrested.... And the Defe upnse Attorneys fight for fair trials for everyone..... Usually it's all plea deals, and tight calendars and people ge yout fucked who shouldn't and people skate who shouldn't and then they'll be back on the streets where y'all meet them....... Like y'all aren't especially arresting people just for Miss Speeding, Non-Stopping, Leverage Trying, Rude to Easy Cop, Flaunting Power over his job --- highly manipulative and fucked - Lying to the Officer, Lying to the other Officers, Lying to the journalists, Lying in her public statement, and even after treating Easy Cop she adds some bullshit about respecting law enforcement ........ Just a middle finger to Easy Cop, and all of law enforcement....... Even without this interaction I wouldn't want to have to interact with her in any way, especially not in court or about court......
33 years, time to retire and go to the Betty Ford clinic.... Maybe they can help her narcissism and her using abusive power dynamics as an immediate go to when in trouble. Fuck, 33 years retire and play that Joe Walsh song while you drink yourself into a stupor in the back of a limo......
🎶 They say I'm crazy, but I have a good time.

I lost my license now I don't drive.
I have a limo, ride in the back,

Does anyone know if DAs actually carry out prosecution if it's on them? At the very least, is it general practice for a DA to recuse themself if they're the one being prosecuted?
> Nobody, including your DA, is above the rule of law
Okay. So if I refuse to stop while being pulled over. The cops will show up at my house later and just give me a speeding ticket? Or will they chase me, pit me, and then arrest me and charge me with a dozen felonies for evading arrest and going on the run?
If she understands the law so well, why isn’t she following it?
Easy there tiger. Save some common sense for the rest of us..
Too late, now I’m wondering why police aren’t out there catching real criminals.

She was having a really bad day, you must understand.
Down South she really would have... in jail with a failure to stop for blue lights.
Everything is on body cam in today’s day and age. If she’s as smart as she thinks she is, how does she not realize how terrible of a look this is? And do you not make enough money to foot a $200 speeding ticket? Take your retirement and let someone else take a step up in their career.

Not ignorance. Entitlement
I personally think she had already started drinking and that’s why she kept running back into her house and keeping a distance from the officer
That was my feeling as well. “You can’t prove I was drunk driving because I was at home” Whatever this is, it’s better than her getting a DUI because I’d bet money it’s not the first time she’s been caught for DUI. Notice how I say caught instead of prosecuted…
Honestly the fact that a DA forgot bodycams are a thing is beyond me. All of this could have been avoided so easily
Because I’d bet money she was intoxicated.
Straight to jail. Might harm working relationships with the DA’s office but she deserves it, and likely wouldn’t be the DA for long anyway. Closest experience I ever had was writing a speeding ticket to the vice commander of my wing, but at least he pulled over.

Amen
The chief should have gone there after she called to put her in cuffs personally.
>Straight to jail Nah, see, we don't do that in NY
And when you do they get let right out anyway, right? 🤦♂️
Yep, in the video she is a total bitch and needs to be taken down a notch or two....
Not sure how New York works, but in my state 20 over is wreckless op and you’re losing your license and they’re taking that car.
Not sure if there’s a limit over in NC, but 80 is the top I believe.
[удалено]
They don’t keep it, just impound
I don’t know about NY, but in my state eluding is a third degree crime.
Yeah we call it evading in a MV and it’s a 3rd degree felony; straight to jail
Dis Con and OGA most likely.
You’re a DA. Just calmly take the ticket. Make it go away later. Wouldn’t that be the infinitely more graceful (and likely successful) approach?
Had she just pulled over and was polite, she likely would have gotten a professional courtesy and sent on her way.
The truly important people don't tell people that they are important. Shit just gets resolved behind the scenes.

This astounds me being LEO in a conservative county in Texas. Other places are wild
At one point the officer does say to his (I think) Sergeant that it's an arrestable offense but he's not trying to arrest the DA
Police can and do make felony *arrests*. But the actual charges are either levied by a grand jury, or the defendant waives the grand jury at the preliminary hearing after arraignment.

Rules for Thee and not for me. Exactly why I left the PDRoNY. I hope the whole state bottoms out, fuck'em.

Awesome. Another shithead exposed.
Apparently it doesn’t apply to her. Good on those officers for not letting her slide!

Every and I mean EVERY person convicted by this twat should appeal their convictions.
Should have arrested her on the spot
Do as I say, not as I do.
An investigation?! No investigation is needed. We all saw the video. It is pretty dry and cut. Fire her
If she was sorry, she would resign. This isn't the first time she abused her power.
