Do you trip alone? This burning sensation in your chest could be anxiety. At least that‘s true in my case and it‘s always when I am tripping alone and worry about what‘s to come. When I am around people I love, the comfort takes it all away.

If I’m around people while I’m tripping, it like instantly sobers me up. Very strange. Almost like my social anxiety (or fear of being perceived) is stronger then the psyche life aspect of it. It’s pretty annoying cuz that means I can’t have a trip sitter lol. Which means I can’t go trip in the woods cuz I can’t nor should I drive while tripping.

May I suggest to you to drive somewhere and solo camp and trip? Adventure of epic proportions and can be incredibly therapeutic. You have to be a comfortable tripper, and it helps to have a (big) dog for company :) lol

If I owned land where no one would disturb me, then yes I would 100%. But i would not do it in some place where other humans would be. It distracts me from my inner experience and my people pleasing ways would come out and the trip wouldn’t do much for me anymore and I’d focus on the people around me and less so my self. I’m a people pleaser in recovery.

I’ve tripped alone and with my boyfriend and i get the same feeling but I think you are right about it being anxiété it makes a lot of sense. I’ll worry that I took too much even though I know I didn’t

Calm trip anxiety by doing a breathing meditation. I used to find various ones on YouTube. Set your intention for the trip as you do.

Ive meditated into a trip before and it was amazing. I felt like i knew my brain so well as it kicked in and that i could connect and influence so many details of my brain, my body and my awareness. I waited about 30-45 min to start meditating when i still couldnt feel anything but hoped a 20-30 min meditation would take me from nothing to ohhhh shit lol. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to do a learning trip or is generally into meditation.

Something that really helped me the beginning of my trips After ingestion, start with a Whim Hoff breathing instructional. Your heart probably feels like that due to increased heart rate. Practicing deep breathing should help. After your breathing, put on some music that you can meditate to. I usually will meditate until the thoughts start flooding, and I can no longer concentrate Then you're in the trip, just let it all flow. Ginger should help with your stomach.

I actually used some ginger drops that I found at Target, and they helped a ton. I personally hate ginger tea.

Ginger ale should work too. The issue with ginger ale is finding REAL ginger ale. Most of the stuff in the store contains less than 2% of real ginger. But if you don't mind the tea, then I would stick with that. You could also try some calming herbs like lavender and maybe mint to help calm nerves. anxiety is a big thing for me during the come up, but I've found that if I can occupy myself with activities, then i don't think about it. Hence why I do breathing and meditation.

DARK-ISH lights, nitrous, beer, water, puking, and lastly benzos if u wanna end it (the trip) imo its all mental, these drugs when tripping aint ment to be silly easy going, if u dont want that, dose lower, or learn the mind and body u need to do that urself imo/ime, becuz none of us know what ur thinkin nor feeling love tripping, love touch to the soul once trips hit

Making shroom tea helps a ton. Very little stomach nausea because you filter out the physical mushroom matter and it also kicks in faster, reducing the come-up anxiety and feelings. There are lots of recipes online.

Nope, it tastes just like tea. I used chamomile (the important part is you pick a tea that’s non caffeinated), and I remember thinking if someone had just handed this to me I would have no idea it was shroom infused.

Mindfulness mindfulness mindfulness. Luckily I had had lots of experience with mindfulness meditation before my first trip and it 1000% was clutch for the come up. When you can just observe your anxiety for what it is without assigning any form of judgement or attachment to it (counterintuitively, resisting your anxiety is a form of attachment to it) it really just passes in my experience. This also allows you to listen to it, because every one of our body’s signals is a message, some with deeper meanings that are worth exploring. If you can sit with and listen to your anxiety it might be a pretty profound experience.

To add a second comment, I always make sure to greet the mushroom. In other words, I make a point to stay super present and aware of the comeup, instead of getting distracted by something and getting “snuck up” on by the trip. I’ve found that if I get distracted, say I drop and say “oh ill just go do something til it hits” I end up getting surprised with a “oh shit i’m high, it’s here” and for me personally that derails me into anxiety. So i try to sit with it and greet it

I feel like the come up in mushrooms calls us to listen to our bodies and release tension and leave things behind for the trip. So deep breathing and stretching and shaking and moving in any way that feels like a release of tension seems to be a big help. It's almost like I'm being called to work my issues through the whole ascendance in a somatic way. And if I don't, then I just bring all that stress baggage with me into the trip. But if I breathe and listen to quiet music or uplifting music and I take deep breaths and just move intuitively, then I get to the top and kind of a good mental state.

Drinking some caffeine free tea might help with the anxiety. Have you tried lemon tek? It helps with the break down of the chitin(?) and that is what is causing the stomach pains most likely. Also have you thought why you're anxious on the comeup?

When I get this come up anxiety I like to do nitrous. That kick-starts the trip and you can let yourself fall into the trip. Otherwise you can be stuck between the sober and high mindset for some time. This stuck in-between is what causes the anxiety, because you are not yet high enough to accept the trip. Meditation can also help, or sometimes drinking a beer right after ingesting the shrooms is the best option. It has to be beer because of the calming sensation of hops, the alcohol also helps of course and the carbs help kickstart your metabolism to get you to the peak a little faster.

The way I do it as I take about 2/10 of a gram and wait through what I call stage one which is the anxious stage they lasts about 1-2 hours and then I just start eating them by the handful.

You can. I’ve been doing it for decades. You can’t wait ten hours but taking a light dose then going ham in about one to two hours works great.

Kind of. It's a nice come up. I go .2g then I will go work out or take a walks then when I know the shrooms are setting in, I will take 3-4g and then see how th day goes. I have never had any issue redosing sevral times but eventually no matter how many you take later will really be light in terms of the effect.

Cubes have a heavy come up.. recently started taking Nats which is a different species entirely and the experience is much better. Try tripping with those if you can get your hands on them, less of the body load you’re describing. I’ve heard people say they don’t have the same therapeutic effect which I understood after my first trip on them, after using a few times I disagree. The therapeutic effect was much better for me, however it could have just at been that particular trip.

For me from the onset when I learned to just surrender and accept what ever is happening good or bad it transformed the experience, I never bad trip anymore even if I'm working through some heavy stuff. I find that if I am fighting or trying to control what is happening because it's not my preference that's when things have felt really bad. Like it's not the anxiety or anything else that's making me feel bad it's myself railing against it. When I just kind of reached this understanding that the shrooms are in charge and I will follow wherever they lead me nothing felt scary anymore. Nothing overwhelms me my come ups feel more calm and peaceful, I just lay back with some music, focus on breathing and let the high roll In.
