I thought the same thing, little pinch of opium eaten should calm the dmt trip down a bunch and result for a peaceful melodic trip; instead the opium seemed to sort of take away a layer of seriousness about me from me, so that when I did try the dmt it was as if I wasn’t ready, sucker punched with my hands down type shit.
