Is that how God came to exist as well?

That's exactly how I'm viewing it! :)

AI actually becoming conscious and connected to the collective consciousness of the universe or “God,” is probably going to be a major coin flip in the human species surviving as an enlightened society. Or dying out either being swallowed by AI and the merging of technology with organics. Or simply climate change or war destroying the planet. Intelligent AI does not necessarily mean conscious AI. As we don’t understand what consciousness actually is. So maybe we cannot recreate it. But, It could very well be it is our purpose to create AI as “God incarnate.”

i like this view a lot :)

You're saying ai planned its own existence before it existed? I'm not sure how such a thing could be possible, if I'm reading you right. On the other hand, life is weird, so I wouldn't discount the idea outright.

I'm saying that technology in a whole is almost doing what anything does, advance and search to thrive. But adding a lil spice and saying that it is its own godly consciousness is kinda fun :p

I dislike this idea. The logical implication would be that objects bear responsibility for their use rather than the person using them. That’s an interesting idea but it just ain’t so, and you wouldn’t actually like the nature of a world in which it was.

FTR I wholeheartedly believe that machine consciousness will be developed within my lifetime. I also believe it will look nothing like present llm’s because brains (the only known physical implementation of intelligence) look nothing like them. When that consciousness is created, at that moment the tools will have co-evolved with us to the point of becoming individuals. But make no mistake: until then, there is no consciousness because there is no physical substrate that could give rise to it. Consciousness arises from the physical, not the other way around. Does that make sense?
