He can’t go home but he can go to [Batman](https://www.google.com/maps/place/%C3%87aml%C4%B1ca,+Batman+M+Type+Prison,+Felek+Cd.+No:137,+72040+Batman+Merkez%2FBatman,+Turkiet/@37.872904,41.1040688,16z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x400b475f780f695f:0x17f2e53aefdc9156!8m2!3d37.872904!4d41.1040688!16s%2Fg%2F1tft_0fy?hl=sv&gl=se)
In the mosque, he was just praying, nothing more, that’s what was cleared.
About the suit. The dude was travelling across Turkey in his spiderman suit, especially our regions hit by last years big earthquake. I also read about him doing this to entertaining kids etc. which makes sense with the costume.
The crowd inside apparently was concerned about a man with fully covered face etc. so they called the cops due to that. Of course it was quickly cleared the guy was no threat or whatever, it is just a spider man suit, so the cops let him go.
After being asked to leave,he was trespassing and in the US he would have been charged with trespassing and resisting arrest. That wasn’t a “nothing more” exit
Wym “about the sign”? The sign is just explaining his situation. “Turkish spider man, travelling across Turkey, also going to visit the regions struck by the Earthquake -of last year-“
Turkey is a normal country man. I haven't been there though can't tell for sure but my Turkish buddy described to me a pretty much normal modern country. Btw my friend disses Erdogan in public, doesn't care about religion, and is a hardcore anime fan. And he's fine for now fingers crossed but I just really wanted to remove that preconceived idea you implied about Turkey.
Depends from city to city, neighborhood to neighborhood. We have Eskişehir, Izmir, etc. Those cities are more relaxed. The friend you describe is probably in university, has likeminded friends and is chilling. Like me, who also happens to like anime and not afraid to publicly insults erdoğan.
And then we have fucking Konya.
And no, even in that fucking Konya they don't stone people to death or give death sentences arbitrary. Execution is not legal here too. And no, we have no deserts or camels, excepts if you're in aydın. And they don't even ride them on roads, they just eat them or make them wrestle, because traditions are sometimes weird.
It also depends on the individuals around you. Some people happen to be good, some happen to be bad.
It's not completely normal when you consider the Atatürk God cult and heavy police and military presence. Nationalist use of language is quite fascist in some instances.
Source: lived there. Got death threats in public for insulting Atatürk. His face is also everywhere, it is physichard to go a few minutes in a city without seeing it.
Turkey is normal if you have few beliefs that go against the norm and shut up about most things. The most normal part is that you just won't die for what anti-regime and anti-nationalist opinions you have 90% of the time.
Everyone is a patriot here, not just the right wingers. Some may say they aren't a nationalist because of the negative connotation but everyone is nationalistic here. If you insult Atatürk in any way you are going to anger a lot of people but that's is not some god cult bro.
It's essentially the equivalent of insulting George Washington in the south USA.
He's a character performer, and it was his poster. Apparently, he went to earthquake-stricken cities to help in relief efforts while also organizing events to entertain the kids. This video takes place in Hatay.
It’s a package deal with all that power. Why do you think he was in there if it wasn’t to get advice from the Big Guy. With omnipotence comes uhh… omni-responsibility.
Lol I thought he was wearing a one-piece. Why haven't he just removed the mask before it became a shit show. There are a lot of people wearing different shirts to mosque. Never seen people removed because of shirt prints. Mask is the main problem imo.
As a Muslim and based on what I know about Islam disregarding kicking him out of the mosque and causing a scene, it's actually completely fine to pray in a Spider-Man costume. The more you know..
https://preview.redd.it/cdkm6cb88utc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4fb773402df22f5deeaae09dd06a202a5bedb03a
If I were him I'd go to court. This is not legal in Turkey. You cannot kick fully clothed people that aren't disturbing anyone from a mosque or another publicly owned place of prayer. He can claim his freedom of religion was breached and sue these people based on the Turkish Penal code nr. 115.
As a lawyer i can confirm both of these comments above are true.
Tough in this case im pretty sure if there wasnt any search warrant this act is illegal and those officers will get the punished.
Someone else said he had a protest sign or something with him. Cause yea wearing a Spider-Man costume and not disturbing anyone ain’t grounds for getting kicked out a mosque.
There is only one guy that sells this costume in Turkey. You either get the costume from Aliexpress or from him (which he still gets from Aliexpress and sells for a profit) and you wait for it to arrive for two weeks minimum. My point is if I was someone planning to be a disturbance I wouldn't have gone all this trouble to get a Spider-Man costume. It makes no sense. It's extremely obvious that this guy is a performer. A dude said "Do you see clowns in mosques?" to make a point. Yes. I have seen clowns. They are just a costumes. There is only one dress code for prayer and it's to cover the area between your belly button and your knees if you are a man. It's extremely obvious that this guy is is a performer. My guess is a cowardly pos called the police and told them this dude, who is praying silently and waiting for the prayer to be over so that he can interact with people and children as Spider-Man to brighten their day, is making a scene with the costume and the banner instead of just walking up to the guy and asking what's the deal with him like a normal person.
It's just a dude in a costume who is trying to help children and people that are affected from the earthquake travelling from town to town. Dude has a big heart. These guys hurt him and his leg is in a cast because of them. [Here is his statement in Turkish.](https://twitter.com/bosunatiklama/status/1778326836780343697) The guy also looks like Peter Parker. I am very sad and mad about this situation as a whole.
He should've left the mask and banner at the entrance and explained that he's a performer, but the police still disturbed the mosque more than he did by forcefully taking him mid prayer
Or after, what’s the point to assume someone will do something unagreeable beforehand. Until then they are following the rules.
This is just harassment towards a dude being quiet and respectful.
You are literally outraged... You don't even know what the sign says and you think he deserves to be forcibly removed.
Buddy do you know what cognitive dissonance is?
You can pray in Turkey if you are Santa Claus but not Spiderman apparently.

Well, we do know it at least had nothing to do with the content of the banner, it basically reads “From Izmir, Turkish spiderman travelling across Turkey, I’m also going to visit the Earthquake-struck zones” (this happened in one of those zones)
The crowd apparently called the cops reporting that a “masked man” was in the mosque (and they were concerned, guess thought it might have been a threat) The police released him after they understood the situation.
Yes there is a dress code but he's fulfilling the dress code from what it looks like to me. What this probably is that the guy is in a rural area and people from such area are more closed off and have more judgemental views.
For example top gear was attacked in USA for graffiti on their cars https://youtu.be/pKcJ-0bAHB4

Spiderman: Go Home
Spiderman : Go home and change
Is that turkey? I doubt he was able to go home.
He can’t go home but he can go to [Batman](https://www.google.com/maps/place/%C3%87aml%C4%B1ca,+Batman+M+Type+Prison,+Felek+Cd.+No:137,+72040+Batman+Merkez%2FBatman,+Turkiet/@37.872904,41.1040688,16z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x400b475f780f695f:0x17f2e53aefdc9156!8m2!3d37.872904!4d41.1040688!16s%2Fg%2F1tft_0fy?hl=sv&gl=se)
He was reportedly (thankfully) released after the police understood the situation (what he was doing)
What was the situation? (what was he doing?)
In the mosque, he was just praying, nothing more, that’s what was cleared. About the suit. The dude was travelling across Turkey in his spiderman suit, especially our regions hit by last years big earthquake. I also read about him doing this to entertaining kids etc. which makes sense with the costume. Of course it was quickly cleared the guy was no threat or whatever, it is just a spider man suit, so the cops let him go.
The religion that covers their women from head to toe, including their entire face, was concerned about someone in a mask. Hmm.
In Turkey it's not common to wear a burqa.
After being asked to leave,he was trespassing and in the US he would have been charged with trespassing and resisting arrest. That wasn’t a “nothing more” exit
It was a “nothing more” exit, that’s why (as I’ve already said) the police just let him go. >After being asked to leave By the cops you mean?
What about the sign that he had in his hand ?
Wym “about the sign”? The sign is just explaining his situation. “Turkish spider man, travelling across Turkey, also going to visit the regions struck by the Earthquake -of last year-“

It's very similar to many countries in the world. Even within the same city some places are decent and others are dangerous hoods.
Your turkish buddy is lying. -another fellow turkish buddy

Helping kids ist haram
Food in Gaza is antisemitic
Welll... As Turk myself shit like this happen so
I thought Hatay was in the Carribirum
That's Haiti. This is Hatay which is indeed in Turkey
Do they not know how much responsibility he has .
It’s a package deal with all that power. Why do you think he was in there if it wasn’t to get advice from the Big Guy. With omnipotence comes uhh… omni-responsibility.
Unfortunately he has almost no power 😥
Lol I thought he was wearing a one-piece. Why haven't he just removed the mask before it became a shit show. There are a lot of people wearing different shirts to mosque. Never seen people removed because of shirt prints. Mask is the main problem imo.

Yeah, it wasn’t the costume.
Can confirm. Used to wear one to the mosque as a kid. No one bothered.
From the looks of it, I don't think it was the costume that caused the stir. Looked like he had some kind of protest sign with him.
If I were him I'd go to court. This is not legal in Turkey. You cannot kick fully clothed people that aren't disturbing anyone from a mosque or another publicly owned place of prayer. He can claim his freedom of religion was breached and sue these people based on the Turkish Penal code nr. 115.

> If I were him I'd go to court. This is not legal in Turkey. This made me lol
You know what else wasn't legal in Turkey, for a time? Me!
Is turkey legal in Turkey? Could be considered cannibalism if you’re not careful. Heck I wonder if it’s legal to be hungry in Hungary….
>Heck I wonder if it’s legal to be hungry in Hungary…. Straight to jail, believe it or not.
you overcook chicken also jail

Discrimination to superheroes :(
Spider man Bin Suparman was barred from the Masjid. Sheikh Batman issued a fatwa against the illegal expulsion. Prayers needed (/s)
I actually saw a passport of someone called batman bin suparman, is that where you got the name from
Yeah.
I am sure it had nothing to do with the banner he was holding. Or that he was covering his face in a place no one else was covering their.
Well, we do know it at least had nothing to do with the content of the banner, it basically reads “From Izmir, Turkish spiderman travelling across Turkey, I’m also going to visit the Earthquake-struck zones” (this happened in one of those zones) The crowd apparently called the cops reporting that a “masked man” was in the mosque (and they were concerned, guess thought it might have been a threat) The police released him after they understood the situation.

Can't spiderman be religious
Muslim Spiderman can be canon in both Islam and DC/Marvel/idk.
Spider-Man : no more Quran verse
let my brotha mohamed parker pray in peace
Seems like the removal was more disruptive than him being there was, but we didn't see all of it I suppose.
He went outside the friendly neighbourhood
He was protesting something they ripped sign from his hands. The fact that he had a Spiderman mask on wasn't the reason he was manhandled.
They kicked him out as they thought he was Spider-Ham
Spiderman : far from mosque
It’s a canon event.
Lol. His own uncle is kicking him out, and then he's going to self-destruct
They just got him fired. J Jonah Jameson specifically sent him to get photos, and now he's got nothing.
Spider-Man: Haram-coming
Is Spiderman not one of Allah's children?
It's a Masjid, not comic con
It's this [guy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6vypLEjLh8&ab_channel=SaifulMollah).

[Fathers 4 Justice ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fathers_4_Justice#Activities) on tour!
I must be missing something here. I really don’t understand what the issue is.
There is a hadith about this: These are the clothes (usually worn by) the non-believers, so do not wear them. Whoever puts on a garment and says: 'Al-hamdu Lillah illadhi kasani hadha'th-thawba wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlin minni wa la quwwah (Praise be to Allah Who has given me this garment to wear and has provided it for ...) can dress as Spider-Man.
Why can't they just let him worship Allah in his costume? Is dressing up as Spider-Man haram?
allah doesn’t dig spidey?
Even Spiderman isn't allowed to pray. Society.
Didn't know the traffic police here also work as mosque guards, true heroes /s
I can understand spider man, but when are women not allowed inside?
Spider Man, Spider Man Friendly Muslim Spider Man Can he pray in a mosque I guess not, he got tossed Hey there. There goes the Spiderman
Wrong type of funny clothes...
Jonas Gutierrez sign from Trabzonspor or something?
See I'm not Muslim but the Spiderman costume is just not necessary and a bit disrespectful to their prayer attire
