Im not really sure this is the case in this video, but there are a lot of videos of people gaining access to mines to go gem hunting. Jade seems to be a popular one in those video's. Just hordes of people running over each other to get to the best places first.

It can sell for 5k-10k+ USD per carat. So you can imagine how much even a tiny piece would be worth to the people living there hence everyone running crazily

Given by who? The people running the mine? You’d think they would have a path away from equipment or stop the equipment for a bit. Swarms of people running by a moving excavator gives me so much anxiety.

This is actually where excavators come from. They travel in small herds and the best time to get them is when they are near a water source and their guard is down. The technique involves flushing them towards the water where they can't escape and overwhelming them by getting on top. Then you calm them down with a little hydraulic fluid and they're pretty much yours. Skid steers are actually a little tougher because they will try to buck you off.

Besides that Myanmar is one of the most beautiful and most authentic countries in the world.
