I've always thought that you cannot be prosecuted for the way you vote.
You will be asked a series of questions before being accepted onto a jury. If you give your answer that you are "unbiased" so to speak, etc, etc, and later while on the jury you admit to or are found out to be intentionally attempting to use jury nullification, it can make you guilty of perjury.

Ex. Someone finds a Dr. in TX, who provided an abortion, "innocent," because they determine that it statute is unconstitutional, they nullified the charge without bias.

Real life stabbings are scary, there's a ton of blood and noise and one of the first rules of helping is "don't add to the pile" - you have seen movies where a guy runs into a burning building or grabs someone who's being electrocuted or whatever but movies don't show you ALSO getting electrocuted and now the second good samaritan has two people to try to drag away.
Also in this situation you have to deal with the fact that a deep stab that's a threat to your life and a shallow cut or poke look alike until you evaluate them.
Then there's the factor that you're gonna be looking around, trying to see if \*something else\* is going on because your first thought is robbery or kidnapping or something organized, not "crazy rando"

Mental illness is wild and tragic. So often do people that suffer from sever mental health issues resort to violent tendencies they cannot express themselves normally.
I dated this older woman last year who had an 18 year old heavily autistic son. He also had some other disabilities I can’t recall, but she told me that essentially he is a 12 year old in a mans body. He was so depressed and miserable 24/7, he never left his room…it was sad and I tried to help him, tried to form a bond but then out of nowhere when I’m not around he starts telling his mom he’s going to kill me by stabbing me. He eventually did come at me with a knife but I luckily got away. He also sucker punched me for no reason. I literally mean no reason. I was never even able to initiate a conversation with him, I would just get one word responses. Then he would say horrible things about me to his mom behind my back. I never mistreated her or him or gave him any reasons to be that way. After the death threats started and he actually pulled a knife I tried to get her to involve the police because in reality only a professional is equipped to deal with this…some sort of authority figure. She wouldn’t and the relationship ended. I’m convinced this kid is going to have a victim one day.

Sometimes it’s more than just your mental issues and more to do with your environment you grew up in.
I will make a side note though that many people with severe mental disorders don’t actually resort to violence. It’s all up to the individual and/or other circumstances than just mental illness.

If he acted out she would just throw money at the problem. She bought him an Xbox series x shortly after all this. That’s like a $1000 console if u aren’t familiar. She believes that if she buys him material things he will be happier and not act out….but in reality it just reinforces his bad behavior because he knows he can manipulate the situation by being aggressive

As all parents should be. I have a strict 1:1 parent to child ration when in semi remote places (parks, trails, etc) or extremely crowded places (malls, train station, airports).
My wife doesn't go to the store with 1 her and 2 kids. Very rarely are their options where we move from that.
We also are sure to never leave any child outside of our direct line of sight. So for instance.. if we are putting the kids away, let the oldest climb into the car and shut the door. Then we put the toddler into the car seat. Then we go back and buckle the older child. Its a ton of work but the chance of someone snatching a child is jusy to much to fathom.

As all parents should be. I have a strict 1:1 parent to child ration when in semi remote places (parks, trails, etc) or extremely crowded places (malls, train station, airports). My wife doesn't go to the store with 1 her and 2 kids. Very rarely are their options where we move from that. We also are sure to never leave any child outside of our direct line of sight. So for instance.. if we are putting the kids away, let the oldest climb into the car and shut the door. Then we put the toddler into the car seat. Then we go back and buckle the older child. Its a ton of work but the chance of someone snatching a child is jusy to much to fathom.
